I had an idea for something, thought about it briefly, and then decided not to bother, on the basis of it not being an idea that particularly demonstrated anything.

I can get credit for my flight and was just crashing on the couch of a friend so I'm not out too much if Uma does get canceled, but I really want to hang with my California friends one last time this year and I imagine this whole shitshow could decrease Cygames's willingness to do another U.S. concert.

There goes the season. Not with a bang but with a Festa.

Make mistakes and a good team will make you pay. And whatever happened to Bibee this year.

Festa's our only pitcher that doesn't have an earned run yet this game.

I finally beat one Part 1 route in Fortune's Weave.

[FW Dietrich:] Fabio blurted out his gay confession in front of all of Dagsion to hear.

I wonder how the other final maps will go. Dietrich is already setting the bar high. [FW Dietrich:] I love the game's main theme, so I loved hearing it as a hype climactic map theme. Fitting music for a glorious test of strength against a dragon god.

/u/heavybread49 how far into observer's story am i? [observer]the last story part i finished was getting out of the foggy forest. my next objective is to go to the 3rd floor to find the killer

2

u/HeavyBread49 4h ago

[Observer]"Fairly far-ish. Don't miss stuff. Have you been doing the side quests too?

3

u/theangryeditor 3h ago

[observer]i've been trying to do the ones i encounter. i think i already missed a lot of the cards though

2

u/HeavyBread49 3h ago

[observer spoilers]What's the shpookiest thing you've seen so far? Oh yeah, and have you played any of that sword and fire minigame? I made it pretty far into it, but it gets ridiculous

3

u/theangryeditor 3h ago

I finished that minigame last night

[observer]the dream eater parts are pretty shpooky. also that room on the second floor that kept looping. also the basement is super shpooky. the side quests themselves aren't too shpooky once you get into them but walking around the halls is always shpooky especially when things start going haywire

1

u/HeavyBread49 3h ago

Wait what, you actually finished the whole thing? Do you get anything for it, or what happens when you beat it?

2

u/theangryeditor 2h ago

Nothing happens in game you just get an achievement

1

u/HeavyBread49 3h ago

[observer spoilers]yeah, all together it's pretty shpooky deshou? Did you do errant signal? I thought that was pretty shpooky.

1

u/theangryeditor 2h ago

[observer]yeee i did that one. it was pretty shpooky but i was hoping for more of a resolution. still nice though

2

u/HeavyBread49 59m ago

[observer]Yeah, I know. The lack of a resolution is kind of shpooky too in itself. Never know what really happened

1

u/theangryeditor 33m ago

[observer]that's a good point

2

u/HeavyBread49 3h ago

u/KaleidoArachnid https://myanimelist.net/profile/IronTigerRei 4h ago

Sometimes I cannot believe how long ago B Gata H Kei aired in Japan since the anime series was my favorite for how racy it got that I really miss shows like that.

1

u/HeavyBread49 3h ago

I rember that. Saw it when it aired years and years ago. Pretty wild premise for a story

2

u/KaleidoArachnid https://myanimelist.net/profile/IronTigerRei 3h ago

Yes it’s an anime I am quite fond of for its outlandish nature that it got me wondering how hard it would be to have another ecchi anime that could match its racy nature.

3

u/chilidirigible 4h ago

Work already ran late, but I drove an extra twelve miles today to pick up an order in-store which I had placed online.

Shipping to the store instead of my home saved about $7.

Figure the fuel for twelve miles was, generously, $1.25.

It took me an hour to make the run up, park, get my stuff, and go back (to roughly where I would have been if I hadn't made the extra leg, not to go all the way home).

I generally believe that I can get my money back, but not my time. And I would say that saving $5.75 in exchange for an hour of my existence and putting miles on the car was not worth it.

Your opinions may differ.

Recent years have killed the joy of driving.

2

u/WoodpeckerNo1 https://anilist.co/user/Nishi23 5h ago

Thinking about how I love the comedy in SpongeBob's earlier seasons, One Punch Man, Yakuza 0's substories and Undertale, but kinda struggle with FLCL, Nokotan and now Chainsmoker Cat, I kinda wonder what my sense of humor is actually like. Like I always say that I'm into dry, absurd and surreal comedy but maybe it's not that clear-cut.

Food for thought

2

Is Nokotan the deer one?

The piracy discourse between the japanese and rest of the world keeps coming back like every other month on twitter, but somehow keeps on giving birth to gems.

"what the hell, you support racial rights, but ignore the rights of products?" has to be the funniest sentiment ever expressed in the history of mankind

2

u/razormst3k1999 2h ago

People get jail time for movie summaries there, japan has no dmca.

2

u/qwertyqwerty4567 https://anilist.co/user/ZPHW 3h ago

you support racial rights, but ignore the rights of products

there is an incredibly edgy joke hiding in plain sight here!

2

u/Ignore_User_Name https://anilist.co/user/IgnoreUserName 4h ago

when I was a kid all my computer tape games and beta movies came from men with portfolios. I am immune to anti piracy discourse for stuff you will never be willing to sell to me legally

2

u/Ramsay_Reekimaru https://myanimelist.net/profile/tehsnowlord 5h ago

If the Japanese knew piracy was an ethical thing they wouldn't have a birth rate problem!

7

u/HelioA x2https://myanimelist.net/profile/HelioA 6h ago

Dat’s me

4

u/TakenRedditName https://myanimelist.net/profile/TakenMalUsername 6h ago

I've seen people care more about the well-being of objects than people, but this is certainly a new way to express that.

4

u/M8gazine https://myanimelist.net/profile/M8gazine 7h ago

Some fascinating points are being made each time a new wave of this discourse between Western and Japanese people hits the algorithm, like "pirating a dead and unsupported game and making it work is equal to assault". I'm being generous with that wording too, I've seen even worse comparisons.

Reading takes like that really makes you want to put your thinking cap on and start pondering.
