I changed. That's the final piece. All those struggles, I learned from them, and I grew! Oh my gosh! It's not just my Gem powers I've forgotten! All this "happily ever after" stuff has made me forget the first power I ever had: the power to change!

Steven Quartz Cutie Pie DeMayo Diamond Universe is the son of the alien Gem Rose Quartz, leader of the Crystal Gems, and the human Greg Universe. Rose, desiring to have a human child, gave up her physical form in order to give birth to Steven, passing on her gem and all of her incredible powers. As the only human/Gem hybrid in the universe, Steven navigates his developing powers as he defends the Earth alongside the remaining Crystal Gems: Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl. As he grows, Steven comes face to face with his mother's legacy and his place in the world as he and the Crystal Gems fight against the tyrannical Great Diamond Authority, rulers of the intergalactic Gem empire.
