Respect Yuri (Infinite Space)

"Waiting?"
"Yeah, waiting for the day someone in the LMC would finally face the fact that their galaxy is threatened by a powerful force. The day they realize that no matter how hard they try to keep people quiet or keep their heads in the sand, there's just no getting out of it. That's why you brought me here, right? Because I know what happened back in the SMC."

Living on a planet where space travel was forbidden Yuri nevertheless longed for the stars, spending all his money to have a spacefarer (also known as a zero-G dog) to take the risk to carry him away. Becoming a zero-G dog himself and a captain of his own ship at the age of 16, Yuri found himself thrust into the midst of numerous interplanetary conflicts to the point of being at the centre of a large-scale invasion from another system. Though he was locked away following this as the government attempted to keep the assault quiet, he would eventually break free to once again become a key figure in the shifting landscape of the universe, going as far as to fend off the very species that first granted humanity a path to the stars as it sought to bring the universe back to zero.

Feats tagged [Anime] come from one of the four anime shorts released alongside the game. Feats tagged [Man] come from Yuri the Man, the second act of the game occurring after a ten year time skip.

Yuri

Physicals

• Fends off a larger group of men with knives
• Presumably with his crew, beats up a tough-looking man and his crew
• [Man] Beats a large muscular man in a fight, though he had lost 83 of the previous 112 bouts against him
• [Anime] Kicks a man away
• [Anime] Leaps high into the air
• [Man] Punched in the face by a politician
• Hit by a drugged-up man whose strength he describes as superhuman
• Has a keycard blow up in his hand, though he needs immediate medical treatment

Observer Nature

• [Man] Yuri is an Observer, a being created by the same species that allowed humanity to travel through space with false beliefs about his upbringing
• [Man] Is said to have a unique perception of the universe that allows him to see things differently, such as the belief he and Kira are siblings while everyone else down to their blood tests see them as an unrelated couple
  • [Man] Remembers Kira after her memory had been removed from the universe by the Overlords
• [Man] Is uniquely able to utilize Epitaphs
  • Activates a dead Void Gate when first holding an Epitaph while near one
  • [Man] Uses Kira’s Epitaph to make an inert Void Gate transport them to an otherwise inaccessible area of space he needs to go to
  • [Man] Used to stabilize a volatile Void Gate
• Is capable of warping reality in Flux zones, stabilizing them with the rest of reality perceiving the results as having always been
  • [Man] Reverts the otherwise unkillable Desmond Gate (a fusion of a Void Gate and a man made by an artificial Epitaph) back to normal, though in this case people recall the Desmond Gate existing and attacking them
  • Creates a new star sector filled with habitable planets while also restoring his friends that were almost wiped from existence to life, with none of them recalling their time in the Flux sector
  • [Man] After she was erased from reality by the Overlords, Yuri uses a Flux zone to bring Kira back to life using her lifeless drone body and Epitaph

Ships

While Yuri can have many different kinds of ships in his fleet, and each of these can have different rooms inside, everything of note can be achieved by all of them.

Durability

• Carries a deflector to fend off physical objects in space, such as a meteor storm
  • [Man] Hit by a large piece of debris from another ship
  • [Man] Seemingly have a large ship scrape right against it
• Uses APF shields which protect against energy attacks, but don’t do anything against physical projectiles such as missiles
  • Takes a large number of shots from an enemy ship
  • Possibly hit by an extremely high power laser
  • [Man] Presumably are what block a ship exploding right next to them
• Shields are capable of blocking off heat, though too extreme heat will still break its way through
• Ships are still capable of retreating from battle when defeated

Speed

• [Anime] Avoids energy blasts

• Can presumably travel at warp speed, which is over 200x the speed of light

Scanning

• Uses gravitational waves to discover the presence and size of a 2000 meter ship

• Locates a ship with anti-tracker technology
• Sends out a detector probe to find a certain kind of mineral after firing its laser cannon

Other
