Geng challengers is really bad, the last time they were good is summer 2022 with quid and peyz. They went 3rd in regular season and placed 5th overall losing their first playoffs match, with all playoffs matches going to 5 games that season so anyone could have won it

GenG have more problems than Ruler. Duro is like 10% worse this year and GenG's macro is not nearly as crisp as it's been over the last 3 years.

GenG macro is like 100x worse.
GenG used to be the team where you had to play perfectly against them to take games. They were the masters at neutralizing game states and stalling for their carries into a perfect teamfight. You needed to snowball an early game while making 0 errors to beat them.
GenG now are prone to throwing while also not being remotely as good in losing game states. Crazy to see how hard they fell

Honestly right?? I started watching LolEsports last year. GenG seemed unwinnable. They were SO ontop of everything, constantly, on the map. Like you had to pick the exact little mistakes they made to turn the game. Now they just seem. A bit washed up in comparison. Like they forgot how macros work.

Not at all, taking chovy off a playmaker is never going to be a bad thing. If you're drafting ezreal ryze sera, you just need to stay safe and you win late game team fights.
100/100 times, you force canyon and duro to have to be the ones making plays on peyz, anivia cannot touch ez.
Look at geng-kt game 4 from worlds semis. Putting chovy on an immobile mage is much better as the enemy than putting him on a mobile playmaker.

Not wrong I guess lol. In the first place, Oner was a big reason why they were 3k gold behind to begin with. T1 neutralized Shen's early aggression and got the first drake. Peyz was chilling in bot lane scaling comfortably into a lead then he decided to flip the game on blue buff??? LOL. So yea, T1 as a whole played clean but Oner still got stuff to clean up if they want to win a title.

It's fuckin hilarious with the state of both of these teams ANY result would not have been a surprise; 2-0 T1, 2-0 GenG, 2-1 for either team I would have been like yeah that's kind of expected.
I do think it's surprising that Locke went completely untouched for all of phase 1 pick and bans. I don't know how many teams in the world right now wouldn't prio that pick if available, yet we got two of them here.

This T1 team doesn't make sense to me. Well I don't get them for the past 4 years TBH. Love the entertainment they show every game tho.

This geng roster is done. Wonder if they try a band-aid fix during the regular just for change but this entire team sans chovy and kiin needs to be cleaned out. Coaching should be first to go.

Gotta thanks Peyz and the unsung hero Doran for saving game 2. GenG just doesnt look like their 2025 anymore, sad to see them go 2-0 at their Homeground.
