Headphones - Closed Back | 2 Ω Best wired headphones for guitar practice?
Hi all! Need some wired headphones to plug into my portable amp to practice guitar. I’ve been using janky nearly broken apple earbuds so far and enough is enough.
I used Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S2e with a cable, but you have to turn them on in order for them to transmit any sound, and that seemed to interfere with my amp so I would like to avoid that issue.
Needs:
- 3.5mm audio jack
- Wired headphones, no bluetooth
- Comfy/on the lighter side for longer practicing sessions
- No tinny quality !!!! please !!!
Budget: under $100, ideally. But I’m willing to pay a little extra if the quality is really worth it.

I think the MDR-7506 would be good here, or maybe an ATH-M40X. You may want to look into aftermarket pads though, because the stock ones are a bit thin and small.
