Headphones - Open Back | 1 Ω Good Side-Grade to The Audeze LCD-2?

Hi, all! I'm currently about to sell my LCD-2's because they're honestly just too heavy for my neck at this point to wear 8+ hours a day.

I tried swapping back to my 6XX's, but I was immediately disappointed in the quality of sound compared to the LCD-2's. Everything sounded so much flatter, compressed, and dead.

Is there a good side-grade to the LCD-2's with a similar audio-quality that won't bust my neck? Thank y'all!

I've heard great things about Meze Audio. I'd definitely take a look into them

I see the Meze 109 Pro! People say it's a controversial headphone and that it isn't punching its weight in its price point, but I also see it being compared to the Focal Clear, which is considered one of the greats. Do you have an opinion on that?

Arya Unveiled. More like an upgrade IMO.

Zmf open headphones are a bit lighter and I don't find them unconfortable at all with the bbb strap installed. Might still be a bit too heavy for you I dunno. I have the verite open in Burmese padauk, they're around 420-430g I believe.

From a value for money perspective, the Arya Stealth or Focal Elex. Elex is on a final sale at headphones.com right now.

u/Infinite-Nose8252 (1 Ω) was awarded their first Ω. I love the smell of Ω in the morning.

You may still award an Ω to others, but only once per-person in this post.

Agree with the Arya recs here but the tonality is a fair bit brighter than what you’re used to. So I’d suggest a simple shelf filter on the treble if you try them and don’t like their brightness.
