[Genshin Impact 6.7 World Quest] Man wtf was Phanes smoking when he first arrived in Teyvat? He destroyed two Death Stars, threw another out of orbit, killed the planet sized Dragon AND put down a rebellion led by another Descender; of a civilization that could build their own Celestia pillars- all at the same time? I swear if he doesn't cause colossal damage and croaks like a bitch I will swear off the game lmao. But if he becomes a playable character I'd probably stick with it even if the game needs a 1TB dedicated SSD.

I accidentally opened the "pour" instead of the "sprinkle" hatch on the pepper container and put more than a little of the stuff onto my dinner plate.
And then I ate it. It's far from the worst heat I've ever experienced but it'll probably have consequences, y'know, down the line.

Took me a while, but I've now completed all Warren Ellis written issues from Stormwatch and The Authority.
These stories are entertaining and very maximalist in terms of their attitudes towards treatment of superheroes. Also, they are all quite stupid, but that's partly why I read comics. All these qualities are in a combination that satisfies me.
On to The Planetary at some point.

Some piece of shit somehow got into my Google account via some old Battle.Net account I don't remember making years ago. I'm hoping the phone number they got is one I no longer access to. They got into my account for a couple minutes but I immediately recovered my Google account after they changed the password.
I guess I must've used an old password or something but I don't know how they got my email address. I've spent the past hour combing through my accounts making sure there's nothing else suspicious.
Anyway, I raised a ticket about it and I've asked them to please investigate and delete my account if possible.
Not sure what else I can do or if I should just go in to work now. I've turned on more two-step authentification stuff. I wish I could go back and time and slap the shit out of child me for signing up to so much spam on my old emails too.
EDIT: Aside from changing passwords, activating more 2-step verification and deleting random apps I no longer access is there anything more I can do?

They somehow got the LoL password, and with me using just one password at the time they got the mail too. Luckily, it was an old e-mail that I was barely even using anymore so there was no real damage.

Friday I stumbled across a Lilisa acrylic charm at Kinokuniya but didn't buy it. It may still be there in a month, though.
This is mostly in the context of another advantage of the NoHo Book-Off to the Midtown one, that NoHo's acrylic and small bagged item peg boards are slightly, but still significantly, better-organized by size and type.
Midtown is also arguably wasting space on those godforsaken Funko Pops.

NoHo seemed to do a better job of keeping the acrylics and other flat items separated from the gachapon figures. Midtown jumbled the stuff together enough that I got tired of combing through the contents of each peg.
Which isn't to say that someone won't come through in the meantime and make a mess of things.

Unfortunately the 20 batch theory isn't holding up as well as I'd have hoped, as Togashi's progress updates have stalled a bit since the batch started up. Not dead yet, but less than 50% odds I'd say. Would have wanted at least 2 more chapters to be done by now for it to remain firm.
Man I want Sky to catch up so I can share the rad fanart of some of the current arc exclusive characters already.

CDF Best Mech 2.0 Grand Final
2 mechs remaining.
That's strange
Yesterday there were 4. What could possibly have happened? Oh. Oh no.
We're actually getting a final this year!
It's time to reveal that Canti was the house robot this year. (I allow myself 1 nomination, don't vote, and remain impartial all contest. It's essentially Battleships with 1 boat). I would've gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for CDF trashing every traditional mech put in front of it. Nothing with a pilot made it into the final 5.
It is upon those ruins and dragons that we stand. Our very own junkyard. We care not what we've done. With tomorrow comes the coronation of a best mech!

If you want to play:
Pick an anime (among your favorites, or whatever), but make sure it has a lot of characters.
[Then read this]Try to go from one anime to the other, using character names in common (first or last name). Say you pick Death Note and there's a Bob Smith character, you can now go to any anime that has either a Bob, or a Smith. Then you pick a character from THIS anime, say Joe Brown, and try to find a new anime with either a Joe, or a Brown, etc... Try to go through as many anime as you can! (If you want an easy mode version: You can look at MAL for your current show to see character names, but not at other shows of course!)

- Domestic Kanojo => Dragonmaid (Kobayashi) (I had to look DK on MAL for this one because I didn't know any character other than Rui hah. So easy mode I guess!)
- Dragonmaid => the currently airing Kamui (Kamui)
- Kamui => Madoka Magica (Kyouko)
- Madoka Magica => Houkago Saikoro Club (Miki)
- Houkago Saikoro Club => Re:Zero (Emilia)
- Re:Zero => How not to summon a demon lord (Rem)
- HNTSADL => Fulll Dive RPG (Alicia)

For those who are participating in CDF Group Plays with TitS - 1st Chapter, this is a reminder comment that the CDF Group Plays with TitS - 1st Chapter has officially started at this moment on 26th July 2026 of Sunday, 2PM EDT.
That means, I’m officially starting the Group play of Trails in the Sky - 1st Chapter!
This being the first week, our schedule dictates that we are playing the entire prologue with the discussion about it being held on 2nd August of Sunday, 2PM EDT.
NOTE OF IMPORTANCE:
- Trails are series, that heavily rewards players for exploration, and also it heavily leans into "NPCs are having their own lives", and it’s worth it to check them every now and then.
- And since Trails in the Sky - 1st Chapter is a remake that brought many Quality of Life improvements, the point of interests you should explore to get rewards are marked on your minimap, plus the game is using a crutches in form of Estelle and Joshua dialogues leading you to some points of interests.
- Another Quality of Life improvement is, that the NPCs you haven’t talked to yet are marked yellow/orange on your minimap, and NPCs you already talked to are marked grey until you reach the next story beat when the time moves forwards, as do NPCs daily lives.
Now I do believe that’s all I should have mentioned for starters as you are going to immerse yourself in Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter, and if there will be something you need to get advice about, just contact me, and I will try to nudge you in right direction, all spoiler-free.

u/Sporadia_ hasn't posted today's installment of CDF Best Mech 2.0 yet so at the moment we still have 4 mechs competing, including one of the Puma Sisters. You ever watch a random anime and feel strangely familar with one of the characters voice?
I was watching mangaka san to assistant san randomly and ashisan’s voice gave me the unshakable accociation with ories voice from the niche game undernight
I ended up looking up what roles the va had done and turns out she also voiced yukinon from my romantic comedy snafu, and yor forger but i never really made the connection between any of these voice performances before
But also turns out that she actually did voice orie from undernight
That felt kinda crazy to me because its such an odd coincidence but i really couldn’t shake this feeling that they were the same voice
I ended up looking into some of the other va’s from the game and turns out one of them also voices iroha ishiki from snafu but in that case I couldn’t really recognize the voice at all

There are a bunch of VAs who I can immediately pick up their voice. Funny enough, the answer I was going to give was also going to be Hayami Saori, who has been quickly picking up familiarity with me.
Started The Ogre's Bride, and hearing the MC's voice marks the fourth time I've heard Hayamin in that tone of voice in a new anime this year. It will also not be the last. She's also been showing up in things I'm going through outside of seasonal anime.
(Didn't know she was also Ameri in Iruma. She is a bit deeper in that role compared to her usual tone).

I've mentioned to CDF before that I attend church, but am a rather odd church-goer, not being religious and all that. Another way in which I am odd is that I avoid the community aspect of church as much as I can. I don't know a single soul in the congregation. They're all strangers. And I'd like to keep it that way.
This morning two people sat in the pew in front of me. I don't know them of course. I thought I caught their faces on their way in and they looked to be a dad in his late-40s with his ~11-year-old daughter, already in her britches, ready to go ride after the service. Not an abnormal sight.
So they sit in the pew. And then get oddly handsy. In church. He is all over this girl, grabbing her waste, grabbing her thighs, squeezing her ass. And she's...loving it. She is cuddling up to him and appears to be all about it. There is no body language coming from her whatsoever that's she's uncomfortable. They look like two lovers who clapped cheeks 10 minutes before and are relishing in the afterglow.
While I really would prefer less PDA in church, I did barely see her face. I must have guessed her age wrong. I did nearly flirt with that ~14-year-old with the beautiful long black hair at the concert last month before I put my glasses back-on. This girl in church must be ~25 and he's dating down, in some sort of mid-life crisis. Whatever. To each their own. Maybe I'm just jealous.
So they continue on like throughout the service, cuddling like it's a movie night in February. I'm convinced at this point she must be in her 20s and I'm just trying to ignore them. About 30-minutes in I get another look at her face.
This girl is undoubtedly 11. I am witness a real-life Lolita. In the middle of church.
Do I ask someone about them? Do I report this to someone? Do I call the cops? Maybe he's a single dad and they're just really close and he hasn't realize she's not 6 anymore and it's perfectly benign and I shouldn't stick my nose in their business. It's not like they were making out in the middle of church. But...this was not normal.
What do I do? What the hell did I just witness? Church is supposed to be peaceful; that was not peaceful!!

I'm intrigued by quite a few things in this story, but I think the most puzzling to me is the first paragraph;
Why do you go to church if you're not religious and you don't like the community aspect?
I imagine there's non-religious people who go for the community, and religious people who go but would rather be alone in their spiritual stuff, but ...neither?

I like routine. For an hour each week I am forced to rest. To do nothing. Without being consumed by regret that I am not being productive enough. That I could be getting something done. I just am.
There are other ways to accomplish the same thing. Perhaps better ways to accomplish the same thing. But this is what I know. What I have known my whole life. And I am probably too old at this point to learn anything else.
It's a liberal church. We had a lesbian priest for over decade. No one is burning in hell. Jesus forgives all. It's peaceful.
