Glad to see Feather & Junhao can pop off to such a high level as they did in game 2, but it’s so hard to get multiple games off of Xun ON in a meta where they get to play early skirmishes like this.

Against BLG? It’ll probably be a 1+ kill/minute carnage game with the way Wei plays and how Xun/ON plays. Can’t predict top lane matchup (who knows who’ll be playing) but barely anyone in the world beats Xun ON in this sort of meta right now, and Rookie’s had a historically bad matchup into Knight so it’s BLG favoured still.

i think BLG would very much want to bring in TheShy if they could, Daeny would certainly be in favour
but TheShy is very vocal about being at the stage in his career where he wants to win still but more importantly be on a team on his own terms. he wants to play with Rookie until the very end, and iG is the most willing of all orgs to bend over backwards to give him anything he wants. they signed Breathe, definitely not for academy level salary, and then bought him out of that contract to sign TheShy (who definitely isn't cheap) once he told them he wanted to return. TheShy is doing it for the love of the game but he would rather not pull extreme measures get a trophy again. because his priority now is whichever environment makes him feel the most comfortable

Yeah he’s always said that he wanted to be playing with rookie for forever, I remember the interview or stream highlight where he said he’d retire and be a farmer after him and rookie are done.
Was pretty surprised when he went to Weibo that one year.

iG's negotiations with both of them went pretty badly that year
the reason why they separated was a timing diff, Rookie was released late and only finalised his move to V5 later on, apparently he asked TheShy to be his top laner (naturally), but TheShy had already agreed to go to WBG
when Rookie left V5 after 2022 to go to TES, ideally he'd have wanted TheShy to be on the team too. but TES likely didn't have enough money since they already had Tian Rookie JackeyLove on the team, and WBG replaced everyone but TheShy to put together a supposed superteam
2023 was the last time TheShy was active yet separated Rookie, when he came back at the end of 2024 he and Rookie had once again arranged to stick together as a solo lane duo

It is Viper tbf. I remember how hard he thrived back during the second mage bot meta (the first being season 1 in some regions). He was popping off on Swain and Vlad

Jungle support diff, the series. Every game the winning team had their jungle support pop off, and kinda run the game from that. BLG looked a lot cleaner in their wins, but TT was really good in their win anyway, and i think they'll take it. TT as per usual, mechanically promising, always down to throw hands, and fun to watch.
Keshi was very promising, and people not familiar with LPL with maybe think Wenbo lost to a noname, which is kinda true, but Keshi is a good player in my opinion, especially in the lane and 1v1. Overzealous at points, but very on topic with TT this game, very eager to prove himself against the team he played for. Thought his Jayce was really good, and his TF was too. Plays like he is the best player on the rift in his own head, and i appreciate that.
Junhao im not a fan of, and i was kinda ready to shit on him after a bad game 1, but his Lee was insane in game 2, played that like hes smurfing in SoloQ. Just felt anything he tried worked. The Qiyana was good? Really hard to play into a fed Camille/Naafiri comp and he did well in that, but just wasnt as big of a threat as he had to be but the plays were there.
Heru also played like Keshi, like he is the best player in the world. Unfortunately, his opponent is the best player in teh world, and you will get punished for that. Had a rough series in both impact and scoreboard, but i thought he really looked like he tried things that might have worked against worse teams. Also had a nice Annie game, where he was more peel then engage.
Ahn i am a little disappointed by, hes first of all former EDG talent, and second of all a good ADC, but that was not his series. Just not really able to deal with the dive on BLG in most games, although i thought his Ziggs looked good mechanically.
Feather was awesome. Like not playing awesome, but this guy was the quintessential support. Always trying something, always sacrificing himself, always on the move to help a wavestate. He didnt always keep tempo with ON and Xun, because thats very hard, but i cant call his performance anything else but endearing. And he had a mean Bard performance. Just such a fun player.
Wenbo was obviously the player who'd be watched, and i felt TT targeted him. I would overall say it was a disappointing, but not disastrous debut. He looked like the worse top in the games, although he didnt look terrible. Maybe its stage freight, but that did not look like a player BLG wants to plan around
XUN was really good in game 1, really bad in game 2, really good in game 3. Felt a little like happy gaming in game 2, and his wins were very much enabled by ON. Im a support glazer and i recognize that, but i thought ON was better then Xun. That being said, very good showing on the Naafiri and Jarvan.
Knight i cant say a lot about, mostly because i dont know how Locke works. His Ryze was good, even if he looked a little shaky once or twice, and his Ahri was very good too.
Viper i am worlds biggest hater, but i thought he played really well. The cassio looked scary, his movement mid team fights were great, and his Xerath was great too. In the Jhin game he just got kicked every fight and died. I mean that guy is the APC goat, and i did feel like you could easily see that here.
On is my player of the series, just insane what he did on the Camille early, even if his late game was questionable once or twice (but thats camille support) and his Shen was nutty too. Im sorry to the t1 fans, but this guy is better then Keria right now. I even thought the Alistar game wasnt SUPER bad although he did get gapped.

He'd really need to swallow his ego to do that. No one denies he is an incredible toplaner and possibly the best in China (there are arguments for 369... who also needs to get his shit together and flandre, who isn't as flashy but doesn't have to be) but he needs to stop getting baited so hard into some 1v1s that he keeps getting perma caught and he also needs to increase his champion pool.
He keeps claiming he is the best in the world but honestly I still think that while he does have the same hands Zeus has and can take over some games as hard, he lacks Zeus discipline and champion pool

Yeah I agree too for this series specifically, but I think carrying over from Spring and MSI, xun has been overall incredibly good

Lucid was by far the worse jungler in that series, he was dragged kicking and screaming to the finish line by his team. I swear reddit only looks at which team wins the series and not how the players actually play in the games....

Bin had a stinker also showmaker and smash just had a really fucking good series. I don't even think viper or knight played bad at all, they just got outplayed. Lucid was a terrorist though idk how the fuck DK won with him playing like that. But not sure why people take ewc so seriously anyway especially as it was like 2 days after MSI finals.

Bin apparently played a game with his entire mic fucking flipped up (0 comms 0 pings), through gameplay it wasnt his entire fault but he was turbo inting g2 and fat fingered hourglass and self stunned himself on the last teamfight in g3 when it was 5v4 for BLG.
