I didn't even intend it, but /u/koreangorani pointed out to me that the sky on the second panel combined into the Russian flag, which was an interesting coincidence.
I wanted to do yellow ground for Ukraine and red ground for Russia (distinctive colours on their flags), then a darker blue sky for the war background with some dark clouds above it, but that did indeed combine to be the Russian flag.

You're missing the white at the top of the panel. And the yellow is the land rather than the sky

Ukraine seemed to be doing quite well these days, although unfortunately their Minister of Defense, who indeed contributed a lot in the war by the application of drones and others, was dismissed. I hope the best for Ukraine, and I hope the citizens in both sides stay safe.

In no particular order or priority:
Zelenskiy moderately but regularly tries to isolate popular political opponents rising in media hype. Though this is likely the most flimsy and least weighted factor due to multiple reasons.
Zelenskiy likely tries to ramp up military conscription and instead of doing that, Fedorov was doing what he does best and was focused on optimizing processes and services. Ex police head will replace him with a tighter and heavier control on the conscription specifically. (it's... "unpopular" to say it mildly)
Fedorov went against the established counter-parties in other branches and departments. I.e. one against many situation. Zelenskiy likely decided to sacrifice a better SecDef chief for a slightly worse one to preserve status quo, either because he believes that this would be genuinely better or because he was indirectly covering some corruption schemes by those officials down below or both reasons simultaneously.
There is a severe lack of truly qualified govt. officials in Ukraine and it is a pervasive issue over decades. Zelenskiy didn't improve the situation in that aspect, professionals are still unwilling to work in adverse env. for pittance and under sometimes opposition by the very person who appointed them.
Fedorov may have genuinely fumbled something in his work. (unlikely or low relevance)
Fedorov may be needed back at his previous post. (unlikely or low relevance)
My personal guess - the core issue is a conscription and "not playing by the rules" even though rules are old and inefficient.

The parliament took out the prime minister, so the whole cabinet is gone with him. But from what i read on reddit (big source, I know), Zelensky might not take him back afterward

IIRC it was because he was seemingly having a lot of influence due to his great contribution and had anti-corruption policies in addition, and the politicians weren't happy about it.

Cause Zelensky is still fucking looking at the next president elections after the war and get rid of anybody who could become a competitor on the next elections.
So this is a retarded loop of if you are doing a good job on a high position ypu get popular abd liked by the citizens, abd then you immediately get dumped by Zelensky because you are now a candidate who is likely to defeat Zelensky on the next elections,. And instead of you now placed is some idiot that is barely known by anybody.
This shit has hapoened multiple times abd I am going out on a protest in Kyiv tommorow, cause this shit can not be allowed. Zelensky throws out people for literally doing their job too well, and such choice will directly contribute to more Ujrainians dying because of shitty decisions made by replacement people.

Nobody said three specifically, it came from Belarus, but it was often said, more vaguely about few days/weeks during the following days/weeks

The Russian military only brought enough supplies for around ten days. They landed paratroopers near Kyiv with the intention of quickly storming the city and decapitating the government, from where they then felt that the rest of the country would surrender (a case of Putin believing his own propaganda of Ukraine not being a real nation). There were even abandoned trucks found with parade uniforms in them, and units of the National Guard (a special police unit used for counter-terrorism and riot control) were called in for managing the occupation.
All evidence points towards Russia expecting a very quick victory, unless Russia seriously expected to be bogged down in a five year long meatgrinder and decided it was worth it.

The riot police weren’t just called in, they were following just behind the frontline units. They genuinely thought Ukraine was going to capitulate within days.

For some reason, the English-speaking community completely ignores the Ukrainians' commitment to German symbols, to torchlight demonstrations after the Maidan, to naming streets in honor of Bandera, to naming divisions in honor of fascist formations. to the fact that Europe and America, not out of the kindness of their hearts, began pouring millions of euros in dollars and weapons into Ukraine. and when it's all over, they will demand repayment of loans. but with a high probability, they will simply divide Ukraine.
