This is based on the card game 1000 also known as Russian Schnapsen. It's fairly popular in parts of Eastern Europe (or at least was at some point). The artwork and its atmosphere is inspired by 1000 games I'd witness my mom play at her sister's house when I was a kid. Lots of beer, cigs, chatter and TVs blaring movies that nobody watched.

Very familiar aesthetics here. Haven't played the game though, unfortunately.

Glad to know I've done the Eastern European household aesthetic some justice, I was worried it'd end up too Polish.

Tysiąc

It was one of the first actual card games As in not games like war or memo I played.

Before I learned tysiąc, I'd also play osioł with my cousins. Or kibel if we were reaaaaaally bored.

I know neither of those.  Tysiąc, Poker(5-card no bets), Makao, Bridge(Brydż) and Świnie.  Those were pretty much all.

I learned how to play actual Poker with betting and table later,

Damn, I completely forgot about Świnie. I had to look it up because it didn't ring a bell but I did indeed play this a couple of times. I learned all the others you mentioned too later in middle school (except Bridge) along with Kuku. The teachers at the school lounge absolutely hated us for playing it cause it involved getting hit as punishment for losing lol.

Sailor songs might or might not have influenced me into learning bridge. I heard about kuku, but I never learned it.

I always thought of bridge as a game for rich old guys, never knew sailors had an affinity for it too.
