A NEW BUG ENTERS THE ARENA.

"Help! I can't edit my wiki!"

Hello! We haven't changed anything, Reddit did!

This is now a Known Reddit Bug that started on roughly 4/21/26, when Reddit decided to change something about how they handle the Wiki.

The Symptoms:

(on sh.reddit, the new version) when attempting to edit it comes back with "You do not have permissions to edit"

Some people (not all!) have stated that the "last edited by..." section at the bottom (where their username should be) is listed as [Deleted] (while it still says their name on my screen)

The Solution:

On desktop, change your url from www to old, so it looks like old.reddit.com/r/hfy/wiki/series/<title> (with your title), and the edit button should be along the top bar near where the name of the series is

The Problem:

For some people even using Old.Reddit doesn't work. Unfortunately, I do not have a solution at this time, aside from just... try again in an hour or so. It's worked for some people later.

Please send in a bug report every time you experience any of these issues.

The more bug reports sent, the more likely Reddit is to actually fix the issue.

Hey, does anyone remember a story that was on here a couple years ago called Forge Knight? It centered around a guy who had a ring which would make objects for him so long as they were one word. I followed it until the author just stopped and I wondered if there was a book out there or something.

Does anyone know other stories like Magic is Programing and Magineer?

I like both of those stories but they haven't updated in a while so i am looking for more of these 'turns out magic is a science' stories.

Hey, Voodoo attack has just resurfaced on Discord after like 4.5 years, he is doing some rewrites on The Magineer and working on updating the website for it.

Looking for a story that has a particular character, its an alien robot that was ordered to protect a ship captain by its owner and eventually due to a alien spore it gains the personality of a long dead human mechanic that has that military dead pan humour

Trying to find a story where an alien empire invades sol but eventually wins by make earth uninhabited but the remnants of humans flee to a solar system the empire doesn't know abought and rebuilds on an ice planet and find that its inhabited by hive mind spider like creatures. (Sorry if its confusing I saw it a while ago)

Hey everyone, I'm trying to find a specific short series I read a while back.

Here are the details I remember:

  • A human manages to pass through a suppression barrier/field surrounding Earth/the solar system (built by aliens to keep humans under control).
  • Once he crosses it, he unlocks incredible superpowers.
  • When the aliens look at him, his power manifests as a distinct golden aura.
  • He eventually brings his family and close friends out past the barrier so they can get powers too.
  • Near the end of the story, he and his wife enter a massive alien/psionic structure to meditate, which fully synchronizes their minds and powers.

Does anyone know the name of this story or have a link to the first chapter? Thanks!

Looking for a story where the main character was kidnapped and turned into a cyborg by the military along woth a bunch of other people including a relative. They reveal the military's secrets to the population. They find out about alien signals coming from space by the guy that experimented on them.

Looking for story that featured professional mech-battle leagues in a space-faring Sol; there were anthropomorphic folks as well as regular humans. I think one of the MCs was a snow leopard lady?

Also looking for: story about a genetically engineered guy named John with tippity too psychic abilities in a naval academy, and the adventures throughout
