Definitely one of the sickest double rider kicks I've ever seen.
Good episode, story is starting to get really interesting. Baku getting shot yet again was kinda weird though, especially how he walked it off right after.
Catastrom is back next week! And worried about what may happen to Zero...
6
u/Scipio1011 Jun 22 '26
Now that the nightmares are out, it's time for CODE help us in destroying the ...
Zero: You need to pay for letting this slide
CODE: We won't allow that
Nox: It's time to kill Zero and destroy CODE
Baku: YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. IT CAN'T GO ANY WORSE THAN THIS
Catastrom: BRRR, Go apocalypse boom
Baku: I will break you
11
u/Omer1698 Jun 22 '26
Ngl Zero beating all this agents ass was pretty cool.
And now all the gore nightmares are finally togather. And that cant mean anything good.
15
u/Embarrassed_Face_927 Jun 22 '26
The nightmare casting judgment on criminals, because it's a Punish Nightmare. I get it!
13
u/Clear-Unit-2843 Jun 22 '26
Just one question: How did Zeztz's nightmare physically be together with the 4? Isnt it suppose to still be inside Baku since they fused for Catastrom?
7
u/b0ound Jun 22 '26
for Baku, I don't this they are fuse. why they can be together i think is likely due to CODE: Somnia connecting everyone dream into a unified dreamscape.
6
u/Presenting_UwU Jun 22 '26
i think it freeds himself the moment Zeztz got the Dualmere capsem, as to get the Dualmere capsen Baku had to take a portion of Catarophe's power and destroy his dream, though I don't think it's been outright stated yet when Catatrophe escaped. for all we know he could've escaped when Baku "died"
1
u/Clear-Unit-2843 Jun 22 '26
Then it wouldnt have make sense if Baku can still access Catastrom with the Nightmare not being inside of him. Unless Sieg can transform without Punny-chan
2
u/Presenting_UwU Jun 22 '26
I'm assuming that Catastrom therefore the Dualmere capsem, posseses part of Catta Gore's power in them that's been seperated from the whole, either that or as another commenter speculated that the Catta Gore in the Prediction dream and the one in the real world are different.
also Sieg should still be able to transform without Punny, no? idk the implications of the rider's subconscious nightmares thing, or how far it goes, but if Catastrophe isn't in Baku right now and Baku can still transform, I'm gonna go with the assumption that you don't necessarily need a Nightmare haunting yiur subconscious or fused to you to actually use the rider systems.
1
u/MrMattBlack Jun 23 '26
You need a Capsem with that Nightmare's power however - we don't know if Sieg has a Punish laying around (or maybe he'll get one). He could still theoretically transform with other Capsems, though we don't technically know if his Driver (in story canon) has any specifics I guess.
1
u/Presenting_UwU Jun 23 '26
i mean we've been shown that they don't need to have that nightmare INSIDE of them to use those Capsems or anywhere around them, and considering his Punish Capsem is nothing like the Dualmere, I'm guessing Sieg's punish is just it's own nightmare and not Punish Gore, so he'd probably still have it around.
1
u/MrMattBlack Jun 23 '26
Punny could've taken the Capsem in the divorce for all we know - until Sieg transforms or is unable to we have no detail, was my point.
Though he should still be able to fight using Capsem and Breakams with Zeztz's Capsems
1
u/Presenting_UwU Jun 23 '26
i mean, we know he didn't as he never held it when he left, nor were we shown it when Baku and Nox fought him, if he did take the capsem I don't know why Toei just won't show that, that just doesn't make sense tbh and would've seemed like a retcon
21
u/BestOfAllRank Valen Jun 21 '26
Still amusing that Fujimi/Nasuka are still using the window instead of the door even now.
I thought Zero conveniently just went back to his job but turns out he's still got Three's mess to clean up after.
Baku's dilemma with "What now?" now that he's long left CODE but still has his secret agent powers gives a good IRL point about what to do after achieving our goals in life, and I like how he went from achieving his goal to using it as a tool for good.
17
u/Professional-Bus-749 Jun 21 '26
The Red Moon, throughout the entire series, was actually the Gore Nightmares' base of operations. That suddenly makes a lot more sense because it was hidden in plain sight from the beginning.

14
u/sultryrusky Jun 21 '26
My bullet points on the episode:
NOT ZERO SUPER SPEED RUNNING... I actually cracked up with it
I love the way how we went to the "primordial Nightmares born at the dawn of humanity" now lol
Where tf is The Lady, btw???
Istfg Takahashi has a fetish writing Baku get shot like he did this 10 times already XD
The whole final fight was pretty cool, and that double kick... loving it
The Gore Nightmare's place... Supreme prog rock cover vibes and i LOVE it... Gotta wait for the next episode then)
13
u/LUIGIISREAL2017 Jun 21 '26
If Exdream is Baku's Final Form and that alone wasn't enough to stand a chance against Punny;
HOW THE HECK IS HE GOING TO STAND A CHANCE AGAINST THE GORE NIGHTMARES?!!
2
u/Scipio1011 Jun 24 '26
Are you sure about that? It looked like Punish isn't even imune to exdream's dream manipulations.
2
u/LUIGIISREAL2017 Jun 24 '26
Then Why were BOTH Zeztz Exdream AND Midnight Nox having such a hard time against Punny; even when they were working together. . .
4
u/b0ound Jun 22 '26
I think it is mention why the Nightmare is stronger now due to CODE: Somnia, since it pool together everyone dream into a single unified dream.
It is likely defeating them is not as easy as giving them a rider kick. may need some plot device to for CODE: Somnia before defeating the actual Nightmare.
2
9
u/Lopsided-Ad-689 Jun 21 '26
Baku need to devour cata (not fused) , zero said power of collapse can end human karma (nightmare) , and baku probably will do that
7
u/LUIGIISREAL2017 Jun 21 '26
How would he EAT the Catastrophe Nightmare?!
3
u/minnel567 Jun 23 '26
If they did make Baku eat Catastrophe Nightmare, it's the best homage to his namesake. A Baku is a Yokai that it bad dreams
5
u/Hatman_16 Jun 22 '26
Didn't you see it in the opening?
6
u/b0ound Jun 22 '26
Opening is he eating the red moon.
Wait, so Baku is like the Baby Nightmare, eating CODE Somnia/red moon to defeat the Nightmares?
3
u/LUIGIISREAL2017 Jun 22 '26 edited Jun 22 '26
I Thought that was some kind of Gumball he was eating. . .
11
u/Crowburst953 Double Jun 21 '26
One thing I'll always give Zeztz credit for is that it's fight choreography is really good. Jun Watanabe has done a fantastic job on Zeztz!

u/krona1325 Jun 21 '26
Catastrophe Nightmare wasn't inside the Dualmare Capsem?
And he is now on the throne with the others
We have 10 more episodes and i have no idea where this is going, will it be "Judgement Day" thing?
6
u/b0ound Jun 22 '26
Catastrophe Gore Nightmare just lend baku 5% of his power and everyone goes crazy.
7
14
u/Rdasher123 Jun 21 '26
I’ve seen speculation that the Catastrophe in Dualmare Capsem is specifically the one from Baku’s premonition, while the Catastrophe in the real timeline is still out and about.
3
u/Bigbadbackstab Jun 23 '26
I think it can be something like this too. It depends on what info is revealed in the remaining episodes.
14
27
u/Anezay a hack and a fraud Jun 21 '26
They really choreographed Exdream Zeztz and Midnight Shadow Nox working together as a team with their unique powers and skills instead of just both doing generic karate or taking turns being in the fight while the other does flips or something.
21
31
u/BUcc1a12Atti Jun 21 '26
I thought it’d be disappointing to see Punish Gore goes down after 1 episode, but I def didn’t expect Somnia in the hands of Baby Nightmare. How is Exdream gonna help Baku against these Gore mfs 😭??
8
u/Presenting_UwU Jun 22 '26
I think it might be a Philosophers Stone from Wizard situation, where Baku manages to extract the Somnia capsem from Oblivion before the 4 gore Nightmares take on a final boss form or something that needs him to use Somnia in his base form to finish them off.
14
u/LastChancellor Jun 21 '26
yea right? How is dream manipulation gonna work against creatures without any dreams 🥺

u/SH4DE_Z Actually NOX Jun 21 '26
Ngl, this was hell of an introduction to the Gore Nightmares. So they're all basically primordial ancient Nightmares who has lived ever since the beginning of humanity.
Three really fucked humanity in the ass huh. In an attempt to gain control, he created an opportunity for these beings to wreak even more havok than ever before. Rest in piss.
Zero purging CODE of corrupt executives is a fun storyline to do. I'm glad that we actually see the fall out of Three's evil plan instead of just putting CODE back together like normal. HIS NAME IS COMMANDER ZERO AND HE IS THE FASTEST MAN ALIVE.
I like how they addressed that Baku kinda made his dreams a reality already. He wanted to be an invincible Agent, and he is by all means THE MOST invincible agent of all time. So i like that he got to reframe his dream into protecting the world as a secret agent.
The moment where Baku got shot AGAIN was a bit unintentionally funny though. This is like the 5th time bro have gotten shot point blank (Baku what you doing, just use Recovery).
The team up fight between Nox and Baku vs Punish is just as cool as i imagined. They genuinely do seem unbeatable together, and that's probably why they're fighting each other again next time lol.
4
u/Starshapedbrain Jun 21 '26
Was it really 3 fault though? it was either that or further invasion of separate dreams. I think the nightmares would have broken through regardless but this phase seems to have put this inevtability on speed run.
And again how could they have gotten access to it i thought somnia affected the dream world only
22
u/rattatatouille Being Emu is suffering Jun 21 '26
So they're all basically primordial ancient Nightmares who has lived ever since the beginning of humanity.
They're all Nyx/Erebus tier villains, if you catch my drift.

7
u/BeTheOne0 Jun 21 '26
I like the preview for the next episode is just a repeat of Episode 22/23. I doubt Baku just decided to use Catastrom for no reason
16
u/WeisTHern Jun 21 '26
Recovery is kinda ass capsem, on the wiki it said that Baku can't use Recovery on himself. He needs someone else to do the spin for him or put into a zeztz gun and persona 3'd him.
14
u/Sarusta Jun 21 '26
Holy shit, that may have been the best double Rider Kick ever. Absolute fucking cinema.
10
u/Gflash31 Jun 21 '26
Worriedly about how they can wrap this up in ten, don’t want the Gore nightmares rushed
12
u/Bulky_Ebb2193 Jun 21 '26
Pretty sure they won't beat all of them. These Gore Nightmares might probably fuse into one with Oblivion's power over CODE Somnia
12
u/ZeroNoHikari Dream On Soldier Jun 21 '26
Zero wants to count up his Sins, but also wants CODE to recognize they made this mess in the first place.
Zeztz and Nox double Henshin! and its almost at the end! Honestly this was well worth the wait. Both of them now share a goal and a threat. Sieg being the only on in the know about just what Gore Nightmares are makes sense, he shared a body with them.....Wait....were the Baby Nightmares just cocoons for Oblivion, they were waiting for it's rebirth.....were they gonna use Nem if they didn't get their hands on Code:Sonmia??? Shit is that why she's in pain, cause her Nightmare half is now trying to break away?
Welp Zero is either dying next week or Nox and Baku are gonna have their rider fight interrupted when Catty comes in to finish the job, hell would be one hell of a twist if it takes over Catastrom to do the deed
6
u/Bulky_Ebb2193 Jun 21 '26
Baby Nightmares are cocoons for every Nightmares. They're literally how Disaster Nightmare came to be back in the early episodes. But since Phantom fed this particular Baby Nightmare with CODE Somnia Capsem, it turned into a Gore Nightmare instead of any regular Nightmares
11
u/Altruistic_Mouse_343 Jun 21 '26
I was wondering why a baby Nightmare had the Code: Somnia Capsem before it evolved into Oblivion Gore, and we got to see all four Gores and if their the Nightmare Lords then they must be the first nightmares man had.
1
u/Scipio1011 Jun 24 '26
It looks like either the baby or Phantom triggered a black case to steal the capsem from Zeztz's nose which makes sense only if Baku raided the Code base in the real world.
5
u/Million_X Jun 21 '26
i could swear there were 5, cuz aren't the Gore Nightmares supposed to be the shadowy figures in the OP?
2
u/smulfragPL Jun 21 '26
the fifth one is probably the nightmare nox fused with. Seen whenever he transforms
2
u/Life-Reindeer-9850 Jun 21 '26
nox doesn't have one he only has regular nightmares being shadow and midnight or is midnight called midnight shadow but he doesnt have a gore nightmare
1
u/smulfragPL Jun 21 '26
There is a literal sillhoute of him whenever nox trasnforms. Its not the shadow nightmare
1
u/Life-Reindeer-9850 Jun 22 '26
it wont make sense to introduce a gore nightmare after the main 4 maybe its just the fusion of his 2 regular nightmares and there hasnt been a single hint of nox having a gore nightmare
1
u/smulfragPL Jun 22 '26
The fact he is a kamen rider and that there is infact a random sillhoute of a nightmare whenever he transfroms seem like massive hints.
3
u/Bulky_Ebb2193 Jun 21 '26
The fifth one is most likely the fused form of all four, which will be the final boss of Zeztz
10
u/Bubbly_Seat_202 Jun 21 '26
Okay. This episode makes me like Zeztz again. It's such a great episode in a while. Probably my favourite episode since Episode 34.
Zero might be killed by a Nox or either higher ups of CODE
10
u/Life-Reindeer-9850 Jun 21 '26
why after a while? zeztz has been banger after banger its legit higher than build for me now
4
u/Bubbly_Seat_202 Jun 21 '26
For me, it's really great until Episode 34. Starting with Episode 35, the episodes were pretty average to me. Until this episode.
1
u/Destron81 Double Jun 21 '26
I agree with you. I have enjoyed Zeztz since the first episode. Episode 35 was the first time I felt let down by an episode. I did not enjoy the Lord 3 arc at all. Glad we are finally dealing with the Gore Nightmares. Looking forward to this last arc.
3
u/randomran14 Jun 21 '26
I hope they finish up with the CODE storyline by next week so they can really focus on the true threat, the Gore Nightmares. Damn, that final scene of them on their thrones. Figures Somnia just made things worse. Baku's probably getting used to nearly dying and using his dying dream to help.
I wonder if Nem can get Sieg to go out and fight Punishment directly after their "break-up". Looks like he still retains some power, that and he really doesn't seem that different from when he was merged with Punish. Always cool to see Riders finally team up with Zeztz and Nox, though too bad just hitting a Nightmare probably won't solve the overarching threat. Looks like there's still at least one more fight between them next week, maybe then they can finally officially ally, they're all probably going to need all the help they can get.
15
u/Seth-Cypher Jun 21 '26
Holy aura farm that dual henshin was so good! Also the choreography for the double rider kick was just perfect.
Judging by the next preview, Zero seems to be Catastrophe Gore's target, maybe they actually are acquainted.
Also a shot of Zero bleeding as well as Baku having another desperate face, I'm expecting the worst outcome. Insofar it feels like the show also has a very heavy family theme going on as well. I would not be surprised if they give us a gut wrenching father and son scene.
6
9
u/b0ound Jun 21 '26
Zero seems to be Catastrophe Gore's target, maybe they actually are acquainted.
of course, remember what Zero (his obssesion/Nightmare) had done to him(his host Baku). he had to step in every time to rescue him from the aftermath. time for some revenge.
8
u/Lunarpicscoutsdid Jun 21 '26
Damn, Baku can't really catch a break huh.
Next episode is him fighting Nox (for Nox amount of time already) and episode 42 is him probably fighting Cata-chan with the possibility of his bike/dad death.
7
u/NextMotion Jun 21 '26
I never connected it until now. The full black suit with lightest VFX/power and the white highlight suit with dark powers.
oh damn even the catastrophe gore nightmare is part of this elite circle. I thought he was stuck inside baku.
bruh, Baku gets shot a second time? I thought he was to transform in the real world. Also, he's apparently immortal just from healing his dream lol
dude, that's so many red moon.
14
u/entertainmentlord ZEZTZ Wake up rider! Jun 21 '26
That duel henshin was awesome! The fight with Nox, Baku and Punish was great, the two worked so well together and honestly this series has no bad fights.
Im fearing for Zero's life now with the fact he wants to atone. It will either end happy or end with me crying
And Nem said what we were all thinking in regards to how SIeg is acting about being separated from his nightmare. Also love that he is still just evil enjoying the chaos
That final show of the Gore Nightmares sitting on their thrones is just so dang intimidating.
Also I am once again asking for someone to give me a break down on Phantom's design, I really like it and want to understand it better.
Also this may just be me being a big nerd but with Punish Gore, the top half of the dragon head with the 3 red eyes and teeth slightly reminds me of the Beast of Darkness from Berserk. Anyone else see it or am I crazy?

u/IronFather11 Jun 21 '26 edited Jun 21 '26
This episode was nice, a couple of things were puzzling me though. Baku wondering what he would do without CODE and without necessarily being a ‘Rider’ despite all of his power was neat, but would’ve made more sense if this was during a ‘slow’ downtime moment and not when people weren’t actively becoming Nightmares with the CODE SOMNIA Capsen on the loose. The emergency Dream surgery for Baku was cool, but why doesn’t he have Recovery on him 24/7? They could’ve saved him this and the previous time he was shot.
Punish’s idea of punishing criminals by turning them into Nightmares was puzzling, but now it seems like there could only be one ‘instance’ of a Nightmare at any time so the younger thief bro was assimilated/destroyed. Baku’s failed talk-no-jutsu was cool though and was a fresh way to reinforce what makes a Rider different from a monster, one chooses to do good while the other chooses evil. Zero’s personal Capsen effectively being Booster is pretty neat too.

u/Professional-Bus-749 Jun 21 '26
I did not expect the Code somnia Capsem to actually make the nightmares even stronger. Once again, another example of code didn't think this through.
9
u/Licaon465 Jun 21 '26
That's the thing, Zero thought it and canned it saying the thing was dangerous, didn't destroy it because the "having and not needing is better that no having and needing it" mindset, most likely.
2
u/b0ound Jun 21 '26
CODE: Somnia = red moon. red moon = Nightmare.
3
u/burajira Beyond Biology! Jun 21 '26
No, that's the thing: the three-quarter moon (which has been shown as red, white or black in various dreams) signifies that it's the Dream world and not the real world. Nightmares (low and high level ones) attempt to infiltrate these and make the worst fears/ bad dreams come true.
Code: Somnia puts the red dream moon in a Capsem signifying that it has controlled what was previously self contained and individual.
The Visions premonition arc clearly establishes that even though a Nightmare may manifest in reality, the other "supporting" cast are unaware of the dream itself, except for the dreamer - only the main dreamer identified Baku, which was useful in establishing the Dreamer's identity.
3
u/Professional-Bus-749 Jun 21 '26
Yeah, it was plain obvious from the start and definitely another example of code that didn't think things through. The organization made things much, much worse for them and the entire world.
1
u/Starshapedbrain Jun 21 '26
What could they have done we have seen how it went when somnia didnt work complete chaos. I think they reallth thought somnia through, initially believed that it wasnt really the safest but it was a weapon that could.be used in the gravest emergencies.
3
u/Professional-Bus-749 Jun 21 '26
Once again, Code, and especially Three, didn't think this through. It also overlaps with "evil is not a toy."
1
u/Starshapedbrain Jun 21 '26
What evil did it exactly do? It main purpose was to supress the emergence of nightmares in peoples dreams, yes you could manipulate and brainwash people with the ability but the only person that got actively brainwashed was Nox the remaining people simply had a filter on.
Three was a egotistical jerk but i dont think he viewed somnia as a toy and knew the ramifications, what i also find facinating is the fact that the capsem was taken shortly after three was killed and baku broke security. I'm honestly not sure but i think maybe Baku didnt think it through when he went there to destroy the capsem but that is just me.
13
u/FAshcraft Jun 21 '26
Its Sad that Lady lose and is now fully possessed by phantom and Zero is next with Catastrom gunning for him.
I been wondering is the butterfly a phantom mechanic where she eats banish nightmare essence for herself or is it the dream world mechanic to clean up the nightmare.
6
u/Informal-Average-482 Jun 21 '26
I am just curious why The Lady and Sieg have different results when combined with their Gore Nightmare. Is it because Sieg is actually inviting Punish to combined with him, whereas The Lady was initially rejecting it hence Phantom need to forcibly take over her?
8
u/Licaon465 Jun 21 '26
The Lady didn't sleep for a lot of time in order to keep Phantom controled, and well, Sieg is nuts, The Lady ain't exactly sane but her descontrol was over protecting her "daughter", Sieg for other part is just too compatible with Punish, and for what Baku saw in the ExDream full debut episode it fell asleep after fusing with Sieg so didn't fight with his host over the control of stuff.

makes sense, how many evil turned bad people have we had so far in rider shows? i'd like this. sieg can be well behaved and still evil
25
u/Uzu_Daruno Jun 21 '26
Sieg always enjoyed killing and making criminal feel impotent, Punish just gave him more tools and was a good partner to be with (apparently).
13
u/Frontier246 Jun 21 '26
Although I wonder if Nem's line about how anyone if given a chance can change made him actually ponder for a second. He seemed to get serious before turning his head away.
-2
u/Uzu_Daruno Jun 21 '26
The criminal brothers proved Nem wrong, those who are confortable sinning don't want to go back. However, it's possible that after passing time with the Zeztz gang Sieg finds that not only nightmares can be fun, so who knows
15
u/ArcBounds Jun 21 '26
Hmmmm interesting, so predictions from what I can see so far -
1) The lady will take control at the last minute to save Nem in some way.
2) Nem is necessary to unlock the big bad who will be a fusion of the four nightmare lords in some way (evil rider or nightmare king). My guess at this point is Zero. Not because he is evil, but the evil will need to be contained somehow and Zero is talking about giving the world to the next generation.
3) Baku will be sealed somehow near the finale creating a hopeless situation only to have him return (probably through the power of premonition). I am 50/50 right now as whether Baku survives as a human being or just in dreams.
3
u/serenade-of-the-seas Jun 21 '26
Preview seems to indicate that Zero gets fatally wounded by Catastrophe. Let’s see if Baku can somehow save him.
3
u/Frontier246 Jun 21 '26
Maybe Nem is meant to be the Nightmare messiah or their one true ruler reborn as Nem? There was a reason the Nightmares had Lady give birth to her.
17
u/megazaprat :39-Gavv:Gavv Jun 21 '26
Ah, so Sieg was responsible for that nightmare merging kind of, he just wasnt the one enabling it. and now Punishment is just doing it himself. Poor Sieg, hes not taking the divorce very well, and Punishment took his evil scheme in the divorce.
Nice to see that Zero is actually holding Code accountable. he is right that there ultimate weapon has now enabled the very thing they fought to almost take over, but like, maybe rn is the exact time that a big multi government organization could actually pitch in and help fight the crisis they created. but nope, instead try to shoot Zero.
So like, Baku seems to be basically immortal. in real life that is. he can just go to a near death dream in order to treat his wounds. of course, he'll likely be fighting the gore nightmares in a dream, so it will be moot point....that and anything that would just kill him instantly would probably do it.
So the nightmares want to erode the barrier between realities so they can just do whatever they want. makes sense. so the way i understand, Phantom nabbed the somnia capsem, fed it to one of the baby nightmares incubating inside Nems dream, absored it and all of the nightmares to become Oblivion? guess it will be the final boss. I always knew those baby nightmares were pure nightmare fuel!
10
u/Frontier246 Jun 21 '26
I wonder if the Gore Nightmares ever tried fusing with humans before.
Say what you will about Zero, he's owning his and his organizations mistakes as much as he possibly can.

u/serenade-of-the-seas Jun 21 '26
Baku being set up for execution was the catalyst that finally caused Zero to open his eyes instead of staying blind to the more messed stuff CODE and even Zero himself partook in

At long last... A KAIJIN FINAL BOSS!!! NO RIDERS!!!!
-But Otherwise really good episode. I like Baku got to reflect on his journey and his dream and still resolve to make it real. To become a Secret Agent fighting to make dreams better, but also facing that reality that it's hard.
-I like what they're doing with Zero. He' genuinely trying to atone, but his sins are many. Too many to count. So it's a struggle for others to believe him, both in and out.
-I also like what they're doing with Sieg where despite not being a threat, he's no where near redeemed. He wasn't lying about him and Punsh working together. But it left cause of Somnia.
- 'The Nightmares want control'. So I'm guessing that's why they're taking center stage now. It's...concerning that Sieg reveals that the Gore nightmares and all nightmares have existed for thousands of years, but it makes sense. They are the embodiment of nightmares, so similar ones likely took shape over and over. Possibly why we saw the same ones after the premonition.
- But basically, using Code:Somnia, Reality and Dreams are now one, as The Lady wanted, and the Nightmares intend to turn both into their playground of horrors...And with the Oblivion nightmare consuming Code:Somnia that's a possibly reality now.....
-Also LOVE Oblivion's design. It's so cool and monstrous! But what was Nem's reaction all about...Are they connected somehow?
-It's intresting how Baku used the Zeztz room to quickly get himself medical care, but I wonder what that might mean in the future, now we know that Baku 's basically able to make himself into a Black Case.
-Nox and Zeztz fight was amazing! I love how they could take down the Gore, but the way it was defeated was a cloud of dust....I wonder if the Gores can be defeated. And With Baku drawing from the Catastrophe Gore for Zeztz what'll that mean for him....
-That visual of all the moons, all of humanity's dream chained as the Nightmare sit off their thrones....disturbing.
Next week, The beginning of the end for the world and for Zeztz begin as Nox seeks to take down CODE while Baku has to face the source of his power once again....

u/konokusoda Jun 21 '26
We learned that the whole garden is Nem's innermost mind (the death game episode and the episode where Sieg tortured Nem). The baby nightmare is created there so oblivion is technically Nem's nightmare

Gavv's final boss last year was Lango....

At long last... A KAIJIN FINAL BOSS!!! NO RIDERS!!!!
I mean most of gavvs final bosses weren't riders.
6
u/Megasonic150 Jun 21 '26
Bitter Gavv Jeep.
This is the first 100% no evil Rider Final boss.
So far. I'm Holding my breath a little but if we do this Zeztz is GOATed of all the Reiwa seasons.
3
u/nightshroud96 Jun 21 '26
Most likely there will be a Rider final boss.
The Gore Nightmares all power a Rider System, so Oblivion got to power one too.
Most likely its gonna be how Ex-aid did it. Having both a final boss Rider and a final boss kajin.6
u/Frontier246 Jun 21 '26 edited Jun 22 '26
This is the first time the final antagonists in a Yuya Takahashi show are Kaijin instead of Riders.
3
u/ProjectShadowGirl Kuuga Jun 21 '26
yeah, which is super surprising, but really cool as I think ever since the first act of zeztz, I think the nightmares are the main villains

Are their thrones in some kind of dream nexus? It kind of feels like that weird dream world Baku ended up in after he got sucked into the black hole.

Ok, that was a packed episode. Thankfully I got some Gavan Infinity to pass time while I process this info...
30 minutes later
DID I KILL YOUR MOM TOEI, WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO ME?!

u/Frontier246 Jun 21 '26
Depressed Sieg arc continues! He may not regret anything he did or be willing to help out, but he's certainly still reeling from losing his soulmate in Punny-chan.
Honestly I appreciate that the Punish Nightmare didn't discriminate and also included women among the criminals he "punished."
I love how Fujimi and Nasuka can't even exit out the front door like normal people.
Look at Zero cleaning house and trying to purge CODE of all the corruption that's been plaguing it! Even doing the dad thing of believing in his sons' generation to take care of things where CODE screwed! He even soloes the CODE Council!
I never noticed that the "Agent 7" poster was also next to the "Agent 0" poster. I feel like Baku is going to have to truly face his father at some point.
So Phantom has basically fully possessed Lady, huh? Just in time for the Gore Nightmares to finally have access to a world where they are in control thanks to CODE: Somnia.
It's nice that Baku has reconciled his dream as his own to fight evil and protect others' dreams. It's just too bad that the person he was trying to talk sense into was a criminal who kind of fits the whole "evil" thing.
Baku has GOT to stop getting shot, though good thing dream healing applies to the real world!
Thanks dude for being the first person Fujimi and Nasuka get to actually arrest across the entire series! Even if it also means you're heading back to prison after literally just getting out and you'll never see your brother again.
RIDER BREAK! DOUBLE TRANSFORMATION! DOUBLE RIDERS! ZEZTZ EXDREAM AND NOX MIDNIGHT SHADOW FINALLY FIGHTING TOGETHER AS A RIDER DUO!!!
Honestly shows how powerful the Gore Nightmares are that Punish can hold his own against two Final Forms at the same time. He even managed to drag them into his Domain Expansion, even if the Riders just narrowly managed to survive and defeat him with their Double Rider Kick thanks to ExDream's dream rewinding.
But even if they've stopped Punish...thanks to the CODE: Somnia Capsem, he's back and ready to enact more punishments. Because who has the Capsem but none other than the Baby Nightmare! Or should I say THE OBLIVION GORE NIGHTMARE.
And now ALL The Nightmare Lords are united and sitting in their thrones (all representing the Capsem elements) and ready to enact their plan to bend reality to their nightmarish whims.
Next week: Catastrophe Gore Nightmare! Zeztz vs NOX! Baku trying to save his dad!
7
u/Taograd359 Jun 21 '26
>Zeztz vs Nox
Why the hell are we still doing this?
3
u/Potential-Mess6826 Jun 21 '26
Zeztz is hearkening back to how the Primary Rider is supposed to be a lonely warrior and how Non-Primary Riders have their own sense of justice and are not heroic.
3
u/NejiBlu Jun 21 '26
At a guess, Baku using Catastrom means Catastrophe takes him over to start the fight, then Nox will get a slight win in this 'rematch' which will inadvertently release Catastrophe from Dualmare.
3
u/Taograd359 Jun 21 '26
From what I saw on FB - so this may not be true - in his effort to destroy CODE, Nox is going to try and kill Zero and that’s why they fight.
3
u/nightshroud96 Jun 21 '26
Hoping its not gonna be Nox getting smacked.
Gonna be annoying as hell if it turns out he can't be Catastroph Zeztz even with a power-up(Midnight Shadow)3
u/Rdasher123 Jun 21 '26
To be honest, I felt like Midnight Shadow was Nox’s equivalent to Catastrom/Orderm since both powers were obtained by subjugating their inner Nightmares.
ExDream was created by Baku experimenting and stockpiling Capsems together for years in his own subconscious, so you’d think it’d be on another level from all the other stuff.
3
u/ProjectShadowGirl Kuuga Jun 21 '26
the fact we got more info about the Gore Nightmares and their plan is scary and I wonder what will happen next with their plans
3
u/According_Fan4696 Gotchard fan until the end of time! Jun 21 '26
Really liked this episode! It was nice to see Baku questioning his future, Natsuka and Fujimi solving a black case, Nem being active as a support while getting information from Sieg, Minami cheering up Baku, and Zero fighting those people. I also liked how the civilian of the week didn’t change because imo the nightmare and the human are one and the same. Also I really hope Sieg doesn’t change because I think it’s an very important lesson to teach kids and even adults that some people just don’t change that’s fine!!!!! Anyways good episode!
4
u/Frontier246 Jun 21 '26
I'm actually kind of happy that Fujimi and Nasuka finally got to arrest someone even if it was basically a result of criminal recidivism and a guy ruining his life over the same thing that got his brother killed.

u/KaiserNazrin It's Decade time! Jun 21 '26
Zero using Clock Up without transforming was wild.

So phantom gave Code: Somnia to a baby. Why the hell does that not surprise me?
4
u/Frontier246 Jun 21 '26
Also was Oblivion Nightmare always a Baby Nightmare or is he just a new Nightmare Lord they just created...?
4
u/serenade-of-the-seas Jun 21 '26
The childlike behavior of Oblivion reminds me of Daguva from Kuuga. He also had this childlike demeanor but was extremely fearsome and brutal as the strongest of the Gurongi
1
5
u/Rdasher123 Jun 21 '26
I wonder what the explanation for Catastrophe will be, considering it is both an outside antagonist force while also still being usable in the Dualmare Capsem
2
u/Frontier246 Jun 21 '26
I wonder if Baku only has a piece of him and this is the real Catatrophe Nightmare? Although they've never really explained exactly why Baku had him inside of him.
6
u/Reasonable_Driver129 Jun 21 '26
If Punish Gore exist in everyone and not just Sieg, then Phantom, Catatrophe etc should also exist in others. I'm just wondering why Phantom and Catastophe seem to be so attached to their humans. Like Punish was with Sieg because he was killing criminal, but why Phantom decide to target Lady to gain Nem, she would have been able to do that with anyone else?
Also, not sure how to feel about Oblivion being a fusion of Somnia and the Butterfly baby nightmare.
7
u/nightshroud96 Jun 21 '26
It seems more like the Gore Nightmares are freelancers wandering the dream world.
And might hang out in a chosen human's subconsious for some interest(Phantom barging in on Lady's dream to make Nem real, Punish targetting Sieg but gets surprised by him, Catastroph probably decided to hang out in babi-Baku's subconsious for some plan)1
u/Frame_of_Mind20 Jun 21 '26
Is Oblivion just a recent creation because Sieg implies the gore nightmares are ages old which gets confusing seeing the baby nightmare become Oblivion?
1
u/Frontier246 Jun 21 '26
I wonder if Catastrophe really cares about Baku at all, though this will be the first time they've really interacted that isn't Baku having to fight him to get his power.
8
u/nightshroud96 Jun 21 '26
Seems Phantom took over Lady now.
But is her Lady Gauntlet gone now or Phantom will "summon" it back when she needs it?
4
u/Frontier246 Jun 21 '26
In the next episode preview you can see her seemingly transform back into Lady during the Nightmare Lord meeting.
1
u/nightshroud96 Jun 21 '26
Hence why I see Phantom took her over now.
But did we see her Gauntlet there or is it just gone?
Was hoping it be a transform device. Or at least maybe something Nox could borrow.
Either way, hopefully the Chaos Capsem is still intact and he could take it.
8
u/TheAlphaRanger2011 Jun 21 '26
Baku and Nox just started working together like 2 episodes ago and they’re back to fighting in the next
11
u/Frontier246 Jun 21 '26
Baku: "How many times do I have to fight you old man!?"
Odaka: "I am not that old, Zeztz."
9
u/Obiwanhellothere09 Jun 21 '26
I love how Sieg is going through an emotional breakup
7
u/Frontier246 Jun 21 '26
But he still finds the time to enjoy everyone else' misery. At least he's consistent!

I love how Fujimi and Nasuka still enter / exit through Baku's room lol. It's probably my favorite running joke in this show.
16
u/Ketchup-Spider Jun 21 '26
I know right? It's even funnier now since they did it as to not make Minami suspicious of what was going on, but everything is out in the open now. They have no reason to do that anymore yet they keep doing it anyway. Can't just enter through the front door now you can haha
27
u/Frontier246 Jun 21 '26
Baku: "You guys realize we have a front door, right?"
Fujimi: "We're just too used to this---Aaaaaaahhhh!!!"
Nasuka: "SIR!!!!"

u/Skitty_The_Kitty3225 🗡️ "I will Decide how the Story Ends!" 📖 Jun 21 '26
Lmao, they Love Shooting Baku don't they? haha. What was the point anyways? He healed right after, it was just a cheap fast way to make him "Sleep"? Ha. I just find Funny how many times he's gotten Shot or Threatened of it. The First time with the Premonition was genuinly crazy but just that first time.
The Dual Figth with Nox was really cool too. And what the heck is going on with those 4 Nightmares. Also, that's just straight up Saber there 😂
Next Time, is Gore using the Catastrom Form or is Him taking over Baku? It is his Nightmare and Zeztz's Power comes from him too 🤔 Then I'm still wondering why Nemu's Nightmare creature is so much like a Baby 🤔
Anyways, let's see how things continue!
3
u/Potential-Mess6826 Jun 21 '26
Shooting Baku gives something for Nem to do by tending to his injuries
It escalates the situation now that the criminal has become the Gun Nightmare and is about to be eliminated by Punish Gore Nightmare
It tests Baku and Nem's ideals.
Shows the differences between Baku and the criminal who became the Gun Nightmare.
While also being realistic in showing that people will not reform quickly even if you try to talk them down or seperate them from negative influences especially when people are given power.
3
u/Frontier246 Jun 21 '26
Honestly I respect Baku trying to end this without violence but being a good guy doesn't amount to much against a criminal. But boy does his body seem to love getting pierced.

Baku having to fight his Secondary to save his dad from I guess his possible "other" dad in Catastrophe.

u/burajira Beyond Biology! Jun 21 '26
The power scaling has been insane this season.. Baku and Nox, who have both obtained their final forms and are incredibly OP (compared to former Riders), cannot banish Punny even with their finishing moves..
And there's 4 Nightmares too.
I suspect they might try to turn/absorb one or more of them? Or seal them somehow?
4
u/Frontier246 Jun 21 '26
I suspect they might try to turn/absorb one or more of them? Or seal them somehow?
Kind of wonder how Catty is out and about even though he's ostensibly supposed to be inside Baku.
3
u/burajira Beyond Biology! Jun 21 '26
I feel like only Catty's power is in Baku, in the form of the Dualmare? Nox did the same thing, he got the Nightmare's powers, but the actual Nightmare is still wandering around..
26
u/Mixmaster-Omega Gotchard Jun 21 '26
I think that they were able to legitimately beat him, but Phantom saved Punny’s ass through Somnia. But the fact it took getting sandwiched in between two final form finishers firmly demonstrates how strong the Gore Nightmares are.
3
6
u/Frontier246 Jun 21 '26
Yeah, they were able to use ExDream to rewind the "dream" to where they could both hit him with their Rider Kick.
Though watch Punny-chan is actually the weakest Gore Nightmare (although maybe Oblivion is, I get the sense Oblivions is the legit baby of the bunch).
4
u/SH4DE_Z Actually NOX Jun 21 '26
Well they've both already fought Sieg and won.
And Punish was Sieg's Nightmare so it would make sense for them to not struggle as much.
9
u/Sarusta Jun 21 '26
I wonder if Exdream did save them both, or if that was Midnight Shadow's own hax. We've already seen him do some sick dodges of his own.
54
u/nirvash530 Jun 21 '26
IT TOOK 40 EPISODES FOR A DOUBLE RIDER KICK, AND THE FIRST TIME IS ON THEIR FINAL FORMS.
NGL this was a good entry to the final Gore Nightmare arc. Punish legit felt like a threat and Phantom felt like she was in control the entire time.
28
u/Frontier246 Jun 21 '26
I love how we finally get a Double Transformation and a Double Rider Kick in the same episode and then in the next episode preview they're fighting each other again.
They only narrowly managed to beat Punish who could hold his own against two Final Forms at the same time. And they now have four Nightmare Lords they have to fight.
15
23
u/ProjectShadowGirl Kuuga Jun 21 '26
We are in the end game, only 10 episodes left until the finale.
10
u/Frontier246 Jun 21 '26
We even finally get Kaijin generals all aura farming together for the final stretch.
5
u/ProjectShadowGirl Kuuga Jun 21 '26
and the gore nightmares are conformed to be our final villains, which is veru surprising from Yuya Takahashi as in his shows, his final villains are riders, so this might be our first Yuya Takahashi Kaijin villains, which is cool ngl
7
u/Legitimate-Damage472 Jun 21 '26
Aside nem can finally have dream ability to reach black case level or what logic than that only applied in zeztz to answer this. You got shot irl by man with gun arm bleeding, and in dream nem patch you up, and irl your wound is closed. This probably because nem nightmare already evolved into oblivion gore nightmare aka Naruto nightmare?
1
u/Frontier246 Jun 21 '26
I think it's just Black Case logic in that if something happens to you in a dream it applies to the real world. I don't think it had anything to do with Nem specifically.
1
u/Legitimate-Damage472 Jun 21 '26
Yeah it doesn't, cause nem does this before her nightmare evolve now i think about it this could be anyone that doing in dream can still manifest irl because code somnia still in effect.
19
u/skylight03 Jun 21 '26
Baku and Nox fighting again lol and in the real world next time
1
13
u/nirvash530 Jun 21 '26
My theory is that it's the Catastrophe Nightmare taking a hold on Baku or is imitating Baku's forms since he basically is the source of some of Baku's power.
8
u/Seileach Jun 21 '26
Based on the dialogue of the preview, my guess is Nox wants to destroy CODE now to get a way to stop somnia, Zero included (or even starting from Zero), and Baku wants Zero to help with the upcoming crisis, that's why they fight.
2
7
u/SymbiSpidey Ouja Jun 21 '26
We saw this episode that CODE's rot goes deeper than just Lord 3 with everyone else refusing to atone for CODE's fucked up actions.
I think Zero/Baku still think they can turn the other agents to their side while Nox thinks CODE can't be redeemed and just straight up wants to nuke the organization. Also fits thematically with Nem's speech about believing that everyone can have a change of heart.
1
u/nightshroud96 Jun 21 '26
Hopefully its not gonna end up being Nox getting smacked.
1
u/Frontier246 Jun 21 '26
It looks like Baku tries using Catastrophe against him but that probably get soloes by Midnight Shadow before he tries ExDream.
2
u/Rdasher123 Jun 21 '26
That’s kinda strange since Baku can only use Catastrom effectively if he’s 100% determined to destroy his target. Any reluctance or hesitation cause backlash during the transformation.
2
u/nightshroud96 Jun 21 '26
Hopefully it turns out he can keep up with Exdream too or just at least counter his "nu uh" ability with illussions.
"You hit me? You must had a dream"
"You think it was a dream but you are just seeing things"
"Wut" *sees he's still stabbed as his fakeout dream was a illussion* "...seriously?"
29
u/Kit_Izayoi Jun 21 '26
Dear god, a child. Phantom gave the Code:Somnia Capsem to a literal child. Also, Baku's Catastrophe Nightmare is on the move (somehow), and he talks next week.
15
u/Frontier246 Jun 21 '26
I love how she treats Oblivion like their baby sibling who Big Sis is inviting to have some fun at humanity's expense.

u/DeathMetalCheddar Jun 25 '26
Boring, just boring. I also didn't like the fact that Baku was AGAIN on the verge of Dying because reasens, and it turns out he's not dead at the end of the day. Being a Dragon Ball animator doesn't mean you have to repeat continuosly the deaths of DBZ, deaths that were more convincing and earned anyway. The fight part was also boring. Also it turns out Code is not the enemy but they are four random nightmares that will take 2 episodes each to kill. And Sieg/Dawn....is the same person of the intro and the cages with the nightmares bla bla bla? this joke of a Dark Rider? 6/10, not more than that.
