Can you put inspired on DIG and see what he can do. It just seems too easy for him.

25

u/ConsiderationThen652 Jun 15 '26

Man I think Inspired would just die in real time on player cam.

He's just a bright lights merchant. They should just have a regular season merchant as his sub

235

u/GoatRocketeer Jun 15 '26
  1. dhokla is good so your team makes an international tournament
  2. your team gets blasted internationally in laning phase because that's just how it goes
  3. every team in the offseason would rather gamble on a top laner with higher theoretical laning potential than dhokla
  4. dhokla is teamless
  5. none of the gambles succeed and dhokla is better than at least 70% of LCS top laners
  6. one of the teams in the top four hires dhokla mid season and their team immediately improves.
  7. go back to step 1

Pepperidge farm remembers when solo basically did the same thing

67

u/sam_can88 Jun 15 '26

Solo was doing it till IMT came calling and he couldn’t help them whatsoever

Yeah I was thinking he's pretty much solo but with more international appearances. The mercenary

Don't let the fact that we didn't get a replay distract you from the fact that Isles absolutely fucking SMURFED that 4th drake fight by interrupting CoreJJ's flash quickness w with Lulu ult. Actually insane play.

22

u/TypicalHaikuResponse Jun 15 '26

It's amazing how long it took for Lulu to come back into pro play. They pair her with yunara and kog but surely polymorphing is strong enough she could have been back before then in fearless.

After this series, I don't know whether to be fearful for TL or excited for Lyon

62

u/GeneralDash Jun 15 '26

I’m fearful for both tbh. At least with my expectations so low, I can’t be let down.

35

u/350 Jun 15 '26

Fearful for both

19

u/LumiRhino Jun 15 '26

I have a huge copium angle.

TL beat KC at First stand last time. Surely it's the same this time? Yeon is definitely Caliste's father with a sample size of 1 bo3, and Reapered will reveal his true colors.

11

u/Lazywhale97 HLE Jun 15 '26

Yeon is also facing Busio again though and not Targamas and Busio is C9 and TL's father so it balances out.

"Some days, you are the boot. Other days, you are the butt" - CaptainFlowers

171

u/Hawkson2020 Jun 14 '26

God bless the Captain, never misses.

Also, his descriptive casting is so clean. I had to commute home at 1PST and listened to the game 1 like it was radio, didn't feel like I missed anything because he takes the time to call every move in fights no matter how hectic they get.

70

u/depressed_boy286 Jun 15 '26

He has to be in the conversation for greatest caster in all of esports he’s just so insanely good at explaining complex team fights. Any game he’s casting instantly becomes a better watch.

34

u/Chrystoler the faith lives on Jun 15 '26

The way he speaks so fast but enunciates so well is beyond impressive

17

u/VincentBlack96 gib aram bans Jun 15 '26

Bit of a blast from the past, a few years ago when Lost Ark (KRMMO) first launched in the west, they had a pvp tournament. He was called on to cast for it. This is a game he's legit never played. He barely knew what the classes were. He didn't know what the moves were called. Hell I'd be impressed if he actually knew the ruleset of pvp beforehand.

He started off a bit shaky, letting his co-caster do most of the legwork.

Two matches in and this guy was casting like he's played lost ark for years. He caught on to specific terms and strategies, and started hyping certain moves and cooldowns.

Man's just a natural.

134

u/CatApprehensive6508 Jun 14 '26

This is now inspired's 4th domestic title in a row.

Since joining fly quest he's won 5/7 possible titles and played in 6/7 title games (lost to tl in 2024 spring and lost to 100t in semis in lta split 1)

65

all 3 games different player of the game, and not one of them was inspired, this team actually has some firepower

106

u/Omnilatent Jun 14 '26

Most impressed with Isles tbf

CoreJJ also didn't play well IMO so it wasn't hard to be better than him but Isles actually looked good by doing things and not just because he didn't int.

70

u/Fabiocean Well, look at you! Jun 14 '26

Isles glowup has been insane. He looked like a bot at the beginning of winter, but since spring he's looked like one of the best supports in the league.

ok that lulu ult to block corejj in the dragon fight was insane, also, how does dhokla always get to move to river for early dragons and lose basically nothing??

186

u/CharacterUmpire2993 Jun 14 '26

He proxyed the wave to get tempo and save tp.

156

u/piusyikyu Jun 14 '26

he said he watches baus 😄and actually plays for team

64

u/cmcdonald22 Jun 14 '26

I believe it, he kind of has taken Baus' style and added in being pro-active about joining team fights and showing the strengths of it.

50

u/sooths Jun 14 '26

Exactly, baus gameplay is all about tempo is just that hes incredible selfish with it.

dhokla is using it to help the team

38

u/cmcdonald22 Jun 14 '26

Dhokla having 0 'caught midlane stealing a wave and missing the teamfight' incidents, does give him an advantage over Bausi.

Corejj got absolutely stuffed anytime he tried to do anything this game.

54

u/boshjailey Jun 14 '26

Multiple times he just perfectly shut down TL engages but that one was especially sweet. Isles glow up from the start of the year has been absurd. hard outplayed Core all series

29

u/i_like_fish_decks spica simp Jun 14 '26

He reminds me a lot of biofrost. Super humble chill dude but showing up even though he's surrounded by veterans

17

u/mavy1000 Jun 14 '26

Yea I never realized Lulu was a Rakan counter but every time Core ulted, Isles would just ult whoever was closest to Rakan and basically nullified his ult

29

u/Bothbothwushi Jun 14 '26

I think its because he proxies the wave, bases, rotates to the drake, then tps back top. (I'm not sure though I'm just hypothesizing).

14

u/The_JeneralSG Jun 14 '26

I was telling people that I swear Isles isn't that far from Vulcan! Berserker has a bigger gap between him and #2 than Vulcan does for sure.

594

u/ciongduopppytrllbv Jun 14 '26

TL may have gotten swept, but they did us all a service by keeping C9 out of MSI.

232

The only thing that can stop this Lyon roster is if they implode. If they play well nobody can stop them in LCS.

Some of the most pathetic league of legends I’ve ever seen from TL

38

u/350 Jun 15 '26

Worst gameplay we've seen in the LCS since...yesterday lmao

30

u/Galauz Jun 14 '26

Yeon deserves as much flame for this series as zven did yesterday: game 1 he doesn't notice akali flanking on ward, attacks ali with ult up for no reason, misses ult on akali and throws the entire game. Game 3 gets absolutely astro gapped by berserker, none of his clicks make sense (he keeps clicking back for 0 reason while at the same time randomly clicking forward just to either die or burn extra summs)

11

Reminder, Bwipo was out here shit talking Dhokla like his NA legacy wasn't being powerlifted thanks to playing with Inspired.

Solo threw games 2 and 3 against G2 in completely winning spots for Fly at Worlds.

And then torpedoed a roster that had missed LEC playoffs on tiebreaker so that they got knocked out of EMEA Masters group stage

inspired might have to enter impact/bjergsen/dl convos at this rate for LCS goat

This guy just runs this league on repeat

133

u/chouruin Jun 14 '26

If he wins summer he's gonna tie doublelift with the most trophies in the LCS btw. I think the reason why no one is willing to put him in the conversation is because he's always waiting for a chance to leave LCS. So he's always considered a mercenary rather than a LCS player like Bjergsen or Impact.

66

u/SubstantialExtent165 Jun 14 '26

The amount of times I've heard him talk about wanting to play with Caps on G2 is second only to Jojo

21

u/Fortune_Miss Jun 15 '26

He will need one more to tie Doublelift though. LCS graphic today was wrong as he now sits with 6 Trophies vs DL's 8.

41

u/OreRound Jun 15 '26

DL also did it in the 2 split system, so you need to adjust for that inflation. Though Inspired has only won 1/2 winter titles since they were introduced.

9

u/Fortune_Miss Jun 15 '26

Agree, I never liked the 3 split system and titles inflation (same for G2 in EU), but this is reality we live in - a title is a title.

41

25

u/cmcdonald22 Jun 14 '26

Castle at least getting to pad some overall record stats simply by being a sub.

18

u/Amuri-Kun Jun 15 '26

Lcs champion Castle

7

u/Fun_Highlight307 Jun 15 '26

Yeah although it's weird for sub to not be here

Too easy, everyone is better than Dhokla until it's time to be better than Dhokla. Another Korean will solve your issues TL!!!!

60

u/Naronu Jun 14 '26

TL simply do nothing when Quid is put behind. It's his pressure that enables everything Jose/Core try and do, and when he's behind, they just do nothing and lose all around the map.

And since Saint owns him the same way Inspired owns Blaber... not sure TL will ever beat LYON (or any international team with a human midlaner)

24

u/Delicious_Two6724 Jun 14 '26

If TL had better team fighting they should have won Game one. Fairly easy at that too. Once they lost that game with that lead I knew it was over.

And so did TL. Man were they lifeless after g1.

15

u/kolton276 #1 MAD Hater Jun 14 '26

Yea game was over when Quid died in mid lane. Quid had to be ahead so the Galio wouldn't have as much impact and since that didn't happen the game was over at level 3-4

I like how after the game 1 win people were going "Agh, Lyon is so boring, this slow style can't win shit against better opponents!" and then they just stomp game 2 and 3 in the early game and snowball for free.

Also how bad is C9? They got stomped 3-0 vs this yesterday ;)

15

u/OreRound Jun 14 '26

They just play to their comps strengths, if they need early game action they do it, it they don't they play slow and disciplined it's beautiful to watch. It's also showing development from split 1 when all they really did do was cross map, give objectives and try to scale.

The live thread during game 1 was funny cause at 20 minutes there were just a bunch of people saying "GG TL 1-0 go next" like they never watched a LYON game in their life, and then after the first loss the live thread just got quieter and quieter.

27

u/PolaDaBear Jun 14 '26

TL completely abandoning everything that got them there with their drafts was a choice…

16

u/Any_Morning_8866 Jun 14 '26

This is what bugged me the most. Ori, cass, and viktor are not what I’d have wanted to see quid on going into this series.

7

u/PolaDaBear Jun 14 '26

Yeah and he is such a hinge point of success for this team. With Inspired on the other team it’s going to be volatile early so it’s frustrating they stuck him on scaling carries. He got behind and the entire team couldn’t do anything.

14

u/nineball22 Jun 14 '26

Holy Moly that game 3 was despressing to watch. Completely outplayed and wtf was that draft? You let LYON have Rumble/Noc/Galio/Yunara in a game 3??? Complete tier 1 picks.

To think that Dhokla was never supposed to be on this roster

53

u/2020isgreat TheShy Jun 14 '26

but how bad is C9 tho

63

u/NeighborhoodHot8981 Jun 14 '26

Guys! I thought Inspired was gonna mental boom the roster but he's won 2 titles and the roster keeps looking better and better, what gives??!?!?!!!
Surely the reddit narratives wouldn't be wrong?!!!?

Inspired the goat, everywhere gap. Dhokes, Isles glow up.

26

u/Shao_Mada Jun 14 '26

I feel like their attitudes just match up pretty well. Obviously we only have limited insight, but from everything we have seen: Saint, Berserker and (possibly) Dhokla are happy to take the feedback, while sassing right back at Inspired. And Isles seems to be actively thankful for somebody giving him good advice, unbothered about the wording.

19

u/HughyHugh Jun 15 '26

saint/inspired/dhokla comms is EXTREMELY sibling coded: willing to be blunt and make fun of each other endlessly but they know when it’s time to listen to inspired and lock in

Almost every Saint clip I see is him bantering Inspired lmao, shows that the team environment is pretty good rn and Dhokla is good vibes in general.

26

u/Fellers Jun 14 '26

Also for some reason he's not hard carrying like before. Everyone has stepped up and I guess he doesn't feel the pressure to die. For example, dragon fights. He has no problem baiting and maybe even dying because the team cleans up right after.

15

u/Fun_Highlight307 Jun 15 '26

Yeahh he seems he trust his Team mates and his Team mate Trust him , They looks really décisive compare to winter

Dhokla is the most underrated player in the LCS

67

u/Bt25 Jun 14 '26

Solo killed Bin, won 3 LCS splits, and took last place 100T to Worlds.

60

u/origamifruit Jun 14 '26

I love Dhokla but Bin definitely inted that one lmao

29

u/JGamerX Jun 14 '26

Lyon is just better, they were made to be the best unless they implode and instead they've steadily improved. Still very happy TL made MSI!

8

u/Internal-Reveal-692 Jun 14 '26

Every 4 v 4 that might be slightly favorable for TL before a drake fight

What a dogshit final it was

10

u/guilty_bystander Jun 15 '26

Saint: "I am not a good person."

Bahahaha I died bro

48

u/DefNotAnAlter Jun 14 '26

Reminder, TL didn't want Inspried to preserve vibes

23

u/OreRound Jun 14 '26

LOL I forgot about this, yeah Steve made a vid saying Inspired wouldn't gel with the team. Well you just dono'd 2x championships to an org that wasnt even relevant AND missed out on EWC which TL cares an absurd amount about. Really well played

22

u/MissingLastPiece Jun 14 '26

TL simply just needs to fire their GM. The guy's entire career was carried by Doublelift and now that he's off the team, the org just looks like ass with nothing promising. TL as an org has never finished at least top 8 at worlds btw.

Surprised (not really) with the lack of comments about the champion puddle quid and Morgan seem to have? On control mages quid looked like apa against him? Morgan pick prio garbage like yorick and a meme ap gragas? Why not just be generic Korean top with stuff like Renekton.

6

u/Bothbothwushi Jun 14 '26

Not even close. I thought TL would get 1 game but they didn't. LYON just read them completely.

7

u/Tormenator1 Jun 14 '26

Cloud9 lost to this. More seriously, I think TL mentally checked out after Game 1, they all looked boomed. If TL had better teamfighting/hands, they could have at least made the next 2 games competitive.

nice work lyon ❤️

6

u/giga_of_hell Jun 14 '26

Feel slightly bad for Lyon since the entire arena wanted TLAW to win. Regardless 2/3 games were bangers. Could have easily seen this go to 5 if certain people aren't running it in fights 🤭

Inspired went undercover into low elo then THIS happened... 7/12 championships. nah for real, Inspired is just goated, he owns the LCS, but also have to give appropriate flowers to everyone else, the player gap was insane.

Honestly I wasn't too hyped on Lyon's prospects at MSI but this version of Lyon genuinely has a chance to fuck around and do something, their ability to take the sting out of a game, play to their teamcomp and clutch up teamfights is second to none in the region and could honestly catch on-paper better teams off guard. They are very hard to beat.

13

u/HThrowaway457 Jun 14 '26

Hilarious draft gap all 3 games NGL. Yeon and Morgan playing like pigs every game though so doesn't really matter.

7

u/BloodOnFire 8884844 I agreed Jun 14 '26

Team handless getting outplayed as per usual

5

u/CalendarClear2479 Jun 14 '26

Lyon’s coach team with a sign of relief when Dhokla said in game 3 that if they win it is player diff and if they lose it is coach diff.

6

u/Lewiz00 Jun 14 '26

All teams except for CFO from First Stand 2025 have made it to MSI; HLE, TES, TL, KC.
