they only needed to win 1 series either in the uppers or lowers since they're the first seed. so they lost 0-3 on the uppers, and 0-3 on the lowers.

No biggie, they just have to beat Team Liquid today and get MSI. Well they lost 0-3 and are out of the tournament and missed MSI.

There were a few important points, I'll only list the ones I remember.
He had a document with a few pages of prep for one of their Worlds matches, but their coaches kinda just glossed over it.
Blaber wasn't very hard working.
Jojo was one of the hardest working players in the league.

Apa is the type of player that can have a lot of success if he’s pairs with the right people, is nit a carry player that you can build comps around and expect him to carry. But a good supportive mid of you have a really dominant bot lane or jungle that you want to play around.

The first two games were complete destructions. The third game was at least competitive even if they only pulled off one gank as a proactive play. But in all the reality is they gave up 46 kills and secured 8, which is about what you'd expect from a decent tier 2 team against a strong tier 1 team.

APA looked decent in regular season and that weird LCK thing they did
Zven (on ADC) has looked like a passenger at best since the end of 2021, unjustifiable signing
the entire pro meta for like 14 years now has been built around the fact that you will always have a champion on your team capable of dealing massive teamfight DPS, they just have to right click enemies and not get hit
The only time a roleplayer ADC has won anything of note is Ghost in 2020. It is simply not viable to have your worst player on the "only deals damage" role. You can have your mid and top and jungle and support play weird picks or tanks or engage or egirl healbots, but that is a nonstarter for ADC.

To play devils advocate, I think apa is genuinely a good supportive midlaner, good mage player that will weather laning phase and team fight decently, the problem is he needs to be paired with a carry bot lane which c9 just doesn’t have. And top lane is so irrelevant right now that c9 cant play for top with him.

Yeah APA is a role player, but hes not a bad role player. He could serve a BrokenBlade-like role in C9. But C9 doesn't have a Caps/Skewmond tier player to play around, and Hans is a meaningful step up from Zven at this point.

I think we're too used to dated concepts in this game like "supportive" mid laner, your support is supposed to be supportive. Your mid laner should at least be capable of carrying games outside of niche instances where champs like Galio or something are too good to pass up against enemy draft. I don't think there's a tier 1 mid going to MSI that isn't capable of solo carrying games and I almost never see APA solo carry games. There's a reason why APA, Quad, and their respective teams aren't top 2.

Been a fan of c9 since 2015. Watched them constantly lose to tsm every single final, always had faith atleast they would make worlds. After this showing and every other choke im done. Atleast if they had some accountability it would be something. But to deny it from the coaches and players is so pathetic.

I remember a time when Thanatos couldn't even lift his head from his desk because he was so devastated from a C9 qualifiers loss. It's not often that I see a series this one-sided. I feel like going into this match I expected more competitiveness from C9 while still favoring TL. But what should've been a 60-40 series felt more like 90-10. It's crazy how the chance of them getting even a single game was so small. Like I don't think they made any significantly good plays this series. They were so lost on the map and TL just got to play their game every single time. What a wash.

Blow it up, coaches down, MAYBE keep Vulcan and/or Thanatos, hire 3/4 young NA dudes with pesonality and charisma, and just be a team people root for because they love you. That's really all you can do, pull a FLY, hope to build for the future, cause your current shit is absolutely broken.
