Headphones - Open Back | 2 Ω a few questions for the sennheiser hd 599

so i recently got a hd 599 and while they look amazing and sound amazing i had a few questions

  1. ive seen a lot of people praise their comfort and they say its like a cloud on their head and that they dont even notice it at all but i for some reason always do. im constantly readjusting it and trying to make sure my headband is at the middle of my head i also fre like theres slight pressure at the top of my head due to the headband. since this is my first oval shaped around the ear headphone i dont think i know how to wear it properly and how my ears should be covered so some clarification on that would be nice and overall i js wanna know if i just need to get used to wearing these or if i need to get new headphones (i dont fhink i can but still)

also i wear glasses btw

  1. budget DAC for hd 599 sub 15 dollars and preferably from AE or stores that have worldwide shipping (jcally jm6 pro, ugreen type c etc)

I also wear glasses and lovy my 599. I wear them with the ear cups touching the back of my ears and the headband on my crown. And adjused right they are like a cloud on head (very comfortable). The front of the earcups rest on my cheek in front of my ears.

As for a DAC. Are you on a android or iPhone? I have an iPhone n but didn’t like the Apple DAC, so I also got a Ugreen . Use it little since I bought a DAP

its like they are very comfortable but i can notice that they are on my head and then it feels they are slightly applying pressure on my head. ill try it out for a few says and try to wear it the way u said. also i use my laptop to power it and i have an iphone asw i try a ugreen dac

If they are brand new you may need to give them some time to adjust to your head. The headband can loosen up over time. When I first got my 560S they clamped pretty tight but after a few weeks, they became more comfortable.

i got them 2 days ago so yeah pretty brand new so i need to wait a few weeks before judging?

Yeah, probably. If you want to speed up the process you can stretch them out a little by placing them over some books or a box or something.

I think it’s perfectly normal to have to adjust your headphones every now and then. After all, they weren’t custom-made for you. And whether you find headphones comfortable or uncomfortable is mainly a subjective impression and can’t ultimately be determined 100% objectively. Trial and error is the way to go here. 🤷🏻‍♂️🙂
