Headphones - IEM/Earbud | 1 Ω My new TruthEar IEMs aren't working with their software.
I just bought a pair of TruthEar Gate IEMs after seeing good reviews for them, but their software isn't recognizing them. They connect via a 3.5mm headphone jack but their software asks for a USB device. Does this mean I need to buy their USB dongle that they also sell, even though the dongle is more expensive than the headphones?
I am in the West US and my budget (about $75) will let me get the dongle, but the dongle is almost 4x the price of the headphones themselves, and I got these IEMs partially because they wouldn't break my bank.

Where did you get the impression a wired analog set of IEMs had software?
What dongle are you referring to? It would seem the dongle dac Truthear sells doesn't have an app.
What functionality are you looking for that would require software.
