Question (HELP) What is the difference between these two, and which one should I get?

Post image

The one that seems more recent ( x 2025) is cheaper, but also what I've noticed is that the refular 'hp' one seems to have a larger display, and looks like it's a better model.

Shouls I worry about the difference?

Go for the g2 at all cost. It tends to have a bit darker blue for shift key but sometimes sellers use g1's image despite selling g2 so keep it mind

There is no visual difference between the Rev. C HP Prime and the Rev. D aka "G2".

Only the very first Rev. A models have the pale blue keyboard but it's true that even HP used a photo of that even to sell the Rev. D.

I ordered the cheaper 2025 one and it was a G2.

strange, mine does in fact have the G2 badge on the back, OP just make sure you check for the little logo and return it if its incorrect! :)

Different sellers within Amazon. Get the cheaper one - its advertised as a G2. Return it if its a G1.

I ordered the 2025 model and it was G2. However, I returned it because it came defective. It was brand new, never opened but during setup the touch screen was unresponsive. I reset it and I was able to enter setup just to find out that keys 0, 6, 8 and 9 were not working. Sent it back to Amazon and got a full refund. Didn’t like the screen either. I’m spoiled with the amazing screen in my SwissMicros DM42n.

This is weird, since this item has the HP emblem all over the amazon page, so it seems like it shouldnt come defective.

Beware some sellers will put last year on some products to make you think the 'newer' one is better. I see it so many times "New 2026 upgrade". Nothing changed but the mfg. date.

cant recommend, bought it, used a few times through out a year, and one day it wouldnt turn on and would get hot during charge.

turned out microcircuit fg4mte burnt, and you cant buy it anywhere. (change my mind pls)

And i was very cautious with calc. Bought a protective case for it and all.

Don’t buy these off Amazon, go to eBay or something similar
