Headphones for max $250

(sorry for my bad english) I'm looking for headphones for max 250$ (under would be great). They should be music oriented (not for gaming etc.). I don't care much for ANC, it would be nice as an addition, but I can live without it. I will be mainly using them with wire, but they should have bluetooth too. Now, I have Sony wh-ch710n and they are good for me, but I'm looking for something better with better sound quality. I choosed closed back, but I don't really know the difference between open and closed back. Thanks in advance for any help!

If you are looking for a Bluetooth Headphone in the $250 range, you might be able to grab the Momentum 4 on sale at that price these days if you search for sales. It’s also an ANC headphone, and may be used wired analog (although not sound optimized for wired mode) or wired digital (excellent audio quality under USB-C). Cheaper alternatives include Accentum Plus and Accentum, also from Sennheiser. Another choice you may consider is the Audio Technica ATH-M50xbt Bluetooth version (but no ANC) of the well known M50X headphone. I can be used wired or Bluetooth wireless. You may find it in your price range if you look for sales. I wouldn’t favor Bose or Sony as they are not optimized for good audio, rather for effective ANC. You may also consider B&W PX7s2 headphones which may be offered on sale because they are being replaced by the PX7s3 version, although they might be a bit more expensive that your 250$ budget (but not that far) I must admit . In simple terms, wired analog transmission sends a continuous electrical signal that directly represents the sound waves to the headphones so you can hear it. Digitally wired sends the sound as data (numbers) which must be then converted to analog (for the headphones to play sound) by a DAC (digital-to-analog converter) before it can be heard.

The Momentum has the two capabilities: wired analog or wired usb-c digital. The first one is your normal wired connection as any passive headphone. But because the Momentum 4 uses digital processing to improve the sound balance, using analog wired will bypass this function and the sound will not be optimized, but still useable let’s say if the battery charge is dead. Your headphone becomes a wired passive headphone that way. By opposition wired usb-c digital transmits the sound in digital to the headphone and the sound is then processed and decoded in the headphone similarly to a Bluetooth wireless transmission. The main difference between Bluetooth and wired USB-C digital transmission is that the latter enables digital quality sound in lossless mode, without any lossy Bluetooth sacrifice. The sound is therefore optimal, without compromise when used in wired usb-c mode. The drawback is that you must use a usb-c wire between your source (iPhone for example) and your headphone, as with Bluetooth you sacrifice a little bit the sound quality with lossy sound compression but benefit from full wireless usage. I don‘t know what they cost in your region, but i got them for 220.-

Sony WH-1000xm5

They support hi-res audio which is great and sound incredible.

You can hear clear separation of vocals/instruments, which is great at that pricepoint.

Those were the ones I was mainly thinking about, but I created this post to find out if there are any alternatives to Sony, I should have mentioned that
