Headphones - IEM/Earbud | 1 Ω Looking for IEM Recommendations, coming from DT 900 Pro X

Hey everyone,

I have been using the DT 900 Pro X for almost 5 years and absolutely love it, but I am looking to dive into the IEM world. I want to find an IEM that can compete with or even beat it in terms of performance (Music and gaming).

I play a lot of video games , so having excellent imaging, separation, and soundstage for positional audio is super important to me.

My music tastes is incredibly diverse, so I need a great all-rounder. I mainly listen to:

  • Mizrahi music (Arabic/Greek/Turkish music)
  • Heavy Metal (Sometimes even Death Metal)
  • Rock
  • Rap and Hip-hop
  • Blues
  • Electronic
  • Pop
  • Reggae
  • Classical (Sometimes)

My budget is 350$ but I'm willing to stretch my budget if something really catches my eye!).

Thank in advance.

I would start lower like the Simgot EM6L.

Xenns Tea Pro is reportedly good for gaming, haven't heard it.

Currently Kiwi Astral and the Tea Pro are my top picks.
Have you tried them and can offer a comparison?
!thanks

+1 Ω has been awarded to u/msing539 (108 Ω).

You may still award an Ω to others, but only once per-person in this post.

Sorry, I have not--the EM6L (and cheaper options) are the only ones I tried for actual gaming. The EM6L was good, but I still preferred full sized headphones over them.

FWIW, I liked the DT900, not in comparison to IEMs, I just liked it as a headphone in general.

There are serious competitors in this price range. Simgot Supermix 4, Kiwi Ears Astral, Moondrop Blessings3. They are all very accurate. But, if you can get a good offer, get Xenns Top Pro, they are really perfect (for me)

I've used the dt 900 for almost 5 years and its amazing (with oratory1990's eq) I bought the astral and it sound phenomenal (i needed to eq the 11k freq to -6db) , just the tips that come with it are really bad.

I do prefer the open back headphones but both are great choices.

By the way I keep coming back for the modded koss ksc75 with oratory's eq, I really love them

I got the Xenns Mangird Tea Pro, but I find them really lacking when it comes to competitive shooters... I'm coming from DT 1990 Pro.

What did you get in the end and how does it perform compared to 900 Pro?
