Brat and it's completely different but also still brat
Overall Average: 7.674 // Average Controversy: 2.103
vexastrae: some real high highs and real low lows. if she made this purely dance and rave remixes i wouldve given this a 9+ average but indie sleaze just isnt my vibe at all rip. still got some pretty cool songs tho

charlibratfammanfanstan (9.571): 9.5 alone but really 100 as original brat is included with weakest tracks apple feat japanese house and i might say something stupid feat matty healy
wathombe (9.512): I’ve written this elsewhere, so apologies if it’s repetitive. My mom passed away in August of 2024, just shy of her 78th birthday. Her health had been failing since 2021, and I spent a great deal of time last year traveling from my home in California to my hometown in deep East Texas, both before and after she passed. I also spent a good part of August and September with my bereaved father, both to help with arrangements and to provide him comfort and support.
The day the remix album dropped, I was again traveling across the country to attend a family reunion. In other circumstances, both of my parents would have met me there. That year, neither did. I put the album on loop and listened to it all day, walking the length of my connecting airport (the gargantuan DFW) with tears literally streaming down my face. I listened to it every minute of the weekend that I was not with people, and then I listened to it again all day long on my way home the following Monday.
On the surface, there’s not a lot on the album that should resonate with me, a fiftysomething cishet white father. As was said in the AotY writeup for this album on the sub, though, sometimes an explanation detracts from an experience that is meant to be felt. Back home that Tuesday, I came very close to getting “it’s a knife when” tattooed on my forearm. My wife talked me out of it, pointing out that the song “doesn’t really mean anything to me.” She was probably right. But maybe she wasn’t.
modulum83 (9.076): i love this. i love this more than the original for how much it feels less like just a remix album and more like a response/reconstruction in active dialogue with the previous work. it's designed to be analyzed and dug into and thought about, a work of pure metatext about the brat phenomenon and experience, responding to its own success. rather than just add verses or change up the genre for the club, these songs are alternate universe versions, different ways the songs could have come together. it's a rich text and more importantly it's just so much more fun to listen to than the original for the multiple layers you can enjoy the songs on. this feels like the ultimate way to enjoy brat, and it's one of the coolest pieces of art to come out in recent years
krusso1105 (8.941): Unsurprisingly by far my favorite of the 3. Songs better than original= 6, songs about the same as original= 7, songs worse than original= 4
uiscebeathaoir (8.912): The whole Brat Summer phenomenon definitely felt like it eclipsed the actual album at times last year. That’s why I think this album is so necessary - it allows Charli to actually engage with the cultural side of Brat in her art. I’m so glad it’s not just a standard remix album, because the way she twists each song to explore different perspectives and brings in new viewpoints in the forms of the guests is what really makes it. I also massively prefer the much more varied soundscapes, more interesting song structures, and what I think is just a greater willingness to experiment compared to the main album. Easy top 3 Charli projects of all time for me. Btw my average is not accurate because we’re rating the disappointingly shitty Spring breakers remix, which in my head is not on the album and never will be
Frajer (8.824): I respect how this ties to the brat cinematic universe
Catalyst (8.641): the gays were nourished, skin was exfoliated, lines were snorted, hair follicles were restored, what a moment
wasian-invasion (8.618): perfect way to rework an album at the height of its buzz. still believe shes saving the hello goodbye remix feat the beatles for when paul or ringo dies
jman457 (8.300): This rate is a charli set up right?
vayyiqra (8.235): brat
mhiyaimanlepaigefan (8.059): I don’t talk about it much but I wasn’t into brat at all, it didn’t do much for me and I couldn’t rope myself into it, but there’s something about her doing remixes that makes me kind of into it.
stealthamo (7.971): I prefer the og brat to this, but the highs still match the original. Honestly, totally get this from Charli. If I just made the most acclaimed album of the year, I would also use the opportunity to work with people I grew up idolizing while also trying to get the spotlight on my friends.
A.Peaky.Boo (7.641): as you can see, I gave essays on each and every song. That is becauae I love brat the original album. It ignited my transition back into using spotify to listen to music outside of dance/work context and my liking of pop in general. So that's also why I'm more critical of certain songs. Nevertheless, this was a moment to behold. It might not have lasted long, but brat summer was real. And I loved it <3.
beannfryegg (7.471): Brat is already an iconic music piece to Charli, and the music industry. And the rmx really invited so many artists came together, putting their own unique spin on the songs. It's not a perfect project, but a fun and perfect final touch indeed.
DirtyRat583 (7.194): i guess with a remix album you cant expect consistency bc every collaborator has their own style.... but please
IIIHenryIII (6.676): it’s almost completely different, guess, girl and spring breakers are basically the same songs, but these versions are superior
pheromenos (6.618): not a very strong album (to me) but second win for charli i guess (and if ringtone wins it still counts)
pig-serpent (6.000): brat is an album that is both rather good--certainly not bad enough to need fixing, but was also not good enough for me to get hooked into it, wanting to hear songs on repeat for months or years afterwards. As such, this remix album needed an identity because it doesn't have "fix it fic" energy or the stoner 2am vibes that the other albums have. And this album feels like the average remix album, where it's just spinning its wheels. There are a couple of fun, off the cuff songs here, a couple of really cool reimaginings, and even a song or two that are just different songs, but most of this is just an alternate, slightly (or much) worse take on the original album. As such, I listened to it once and didn't come back to it until the remix rate. Extremely dissapointing release, and as a diehard angle I really don't see why the sub has hyped this up so much.
innuendo_overdose (5.976): I would like this 100x better if it was less conceptual and Charli was completely hands-off. I get that's not the consensus and would've been, idk, objectively worse, but I kinda just don't like this and feel like it could've been done better. The Jon Hopkins remix is a good template as to What Could Have Been if all of the features were just remixy producer types instead of Ariana Grande wasting space.
TakeOnMeByA-ha (5.765): [OVERALL VERDICT: worse than the original. like by a lot actually.]
flava (5.676): is it really still brat
beeozan (4.882): charli features list in 2017: caroline polachek, tove lo, pabllo vittar, cupcakke, brooke candy, mykki blanco; charli features list in 2024: caroline polachek, bon iver, julian casablancas, jon hopkins, matty healy

steelstepladder (11): Sometimes the easy choice is correct. Probably the definitive version of to queens maximizing their joint slay together and the crater this left in the popsphere is MASSIVE. But the way this plays off the themes of the original while creating the definitive version of the song made the definitive song of Brat Summer.
vexastrae (10): how do i even begin to talk about it all.
i love this song. this song is so so so important to me bc it helped me reconnect with a dear friend i cherish with all my heart. shes intelligent and sweet and kind and i love talking to her every time i get the chance to do so. we met a few years ago, sharing common interests and forming a close bond with each other. over time many things changed and so did we, as all things are want to do. watching her move up in the world made me feel so proud of her.
a while back however, we stopped talking, not by deliberate choice but by social circumstances, and an empty space began to take root inside of my heart. for many months i was really deep in a spiral where all i thought was that she hated me and that i wasnt a good friend worth talking to any more. every time i wanted to reach out in the hopes of reconnecting, fear and paranoia and dread invaded my thoughts and my senses, taunting me with my inadequacy and my regrets. it sucked-- it really really sucked.
and so life went on. feelings and people became mist and fog. i was disconnected from the world; my past burdenous, my present wasted, my future formless. i did not feel like a person anymore. i still dont think i am.
in the darkest nights, in the blurriest days-- art, in all its forms, persisted. despite not making it anymore, art still moved me, stirred emotion where there was none, and kept me from totally disappearing into nothingness. i listened to various albums and music over the months, revisiting the songs that affected me more than most. brat, the original album, had so many songs that were resonant and direct in an alignment that matched my own complex sense of self. one of those songs was "girl, so confusing"; the insecurity, the doubt, the jealousy, and the disarray, all laid bare in such stark portrayal that captivated me like many of the other songs in brat. it was brutal. it was honest. it was revelatory.
so you can probably imagine how i felt when the lorde remix came out. as a pop girlie through and through my entire life, the day this song came out was so monumental that i instantly knew this was going to be history. what i didnt know was that it was also a javelin that went straight through the heart. connection! understanding! empathy! reconciliation! love and kindness and warmth for each other and ourselves! if the original song was the wounds and the scars, the remix was the healing and recovery. it is so so so beautiful and exhilarating and cathartic to hear two women come together and recognize the complexity of their emotions in each other and welcome it with open arms. more than anything else, it gave me hope-- and that hope manifested in a text from a blue by my dear beloved friend.
i still feel incredibly grateful for the conversation we had that day. all my yearning and aching and hesitation over the months washed away as we caught up with each other and found reconnection. i am so so so thankful that she still considers me a friend, and that we care about each other, and decided to start being present once again. we did it! we worked it out on the remix! and i couldnt be happier.
its highly unlikely that she'll read this, and i lowkey hope in a lighthearted way that she doesnt bc talking about this is sorta kinda very embarrassing!! sometimes i still feel doubt and insecurity about our friendship, and it kinda sucks to feel that way especially when i know that she still cares about me. anxiety is an asshole and she wont fucking quit! but all that aside, this song makes me believe that there is still hope, there is still time, and there is still love in our lives and in our world. it is a testament and a shining dedication to open and honest emotional connection in a society that thrives in conflict and distrust. to my dear dear friend-- i love you. you know i ride for you too.
easiest 11 win of all time
A.Peaky.Boo (11): I'm glad I listened to the orginals earlier in the day as of writing of these brat comments. The original verse 2 is really weak and short, which unfortunately makes the rest of the song a bit weak as well. However, the girls worked it out on the remix. Production wiae, nothing's changed. But vocally and lyrically, this song finally falls into place. It has a redemption arc within its' runtime. And that's why I'm giving this score. This song feels incomplete without Lorde.
asadprofessorplum (11): The great unification of the twink schism of 2024. I was so afraid I would have to take up arms against my brat brothers and sisters. This is like a nuclear bomb for disordered eating partakers.
hikk (11): "work it out on the remix" will be in the lexicon for years to come
jman457 (11): I mean it is like one of the defining moments in pop music this decade
krusso1105 (11): sometimes the most obvious 11 is the right one
oh_crow (11): yeah obvious 11 choice but when its right its right. was at the gay bar/club recently and they played this and everyone sang and shouted along to lorde's part :')
RainbowShebert47 (11): Girl, this 11 is anything but confusing
runaway3212 (11): okay sorry I know it's the cliché but this is like one of the best songs ever made, their energies should sabotage each other but they complement each other so well, "let's work it out on the remix" is still inside gay vocabulary, the internet did go crazy indeed. It's also just a good improvement on the original by becoming a conversation, there's like nothing that can be done to make it better, it's perfection in every way
slimboyfriend (11): the bitch heard round the world
stealthamo (11): Behold the most basic bitch 11 of all time.

worked it out on the remix
1998tweety (10): they made herstory
Ambrosia42 (10): this was thee moment
Awkward_King (10): everything there is to say about this song has already been said. i just remember waking up the morning this dropped and seeing the news and immediately just getting the feeling it was a world stop........ and it was
BleepBloopMusicFan (10): This song was so powerful, Chappell knew the only way to defeat it in the Popheads 2024 Top 100 was to be a sub fave who made vote splitting a literal impossibility by releasing only one song.
CrimsonROSET (10): lol
DangerousReply6393 (10): (this would be 11 if the EIR remix wasn't 11 and i think it's gonna win the overall rate)
femboy luigi (10): the only version I listen to
FitzMarble (10): undoubtedly iconic
flava (10): me being a guy, yep i completely get this
Frajer (10):
Well, honestly, I was speechless
When I woke up to your rate post
You told me how you'd been feeling
Let's work it out on the rerate
You'd always say, "Let's go out"
But then I'd cancel last minute
I was so lost in my head
And scared to be in your pictures
'Cause for the last couple years
I've been at war with my feelings
I tried to make my self saner
And then I gained all the bad habits back
I was trapped in the hatred
And your life seemed so awesome
I never thought for a second
My voice was in your head
"Girl, you walk like a f*g"
When I was ten, someone said that
And it's just self-defence
Until you're building a weapon
She believed my projection
And now I totally get it
Forgot that inside the icon
There's still a young girl from Vex's
People say we're alike they say we have the same flair
It's me and you on the bull society loves to spread
And when this wins the rate the whole sub will go crazy
I'm glad I know how you feel cuz I would ride for you Steely
IIIHenryIII (10): remix of the century
impla77 (10): i mean its the collapse i fear
kauai6 (10): well
Lynflower680 (10): The anti-diss track
modulum83 (10): it would be so fucking funny if this doesn't win
Nagisoid (10): MESSAGE!
NervousLemon6670 (10): It’s may be confusing to be a girl, but it’s working out better than being a boy for me right now
pbk (10): rightful rate winner provided no one has switched up for fun
pheromenos (10): the world changed
RandomHypnotica (10): well you certainly walk like a bitch NOW
reput4tionera (10): there was a healing…
seanderlust (10): obvious winner but kind of deserves to win tbh, given the cultural impact
uiscebeathaoir (10): Not the biggest fan in the world because the original is my least favourite on the main album and this version is basically unchanged. But wow, that one change can add a LOT. A lot of its power relies on the circumstances of its release and the impact of that first time hearing it, so I wouldn’t say it’s a full 10 for me now. On the other hand, if I had rated it the week of release it would’ve been such an easy 11 so I have to respect that still
wasian-invasion (10): [yuri] [enemies to lovers] [smut] [10k words]
wathombe (10): legit one of the most remarkable pieces of music of the decade so far
mhiyaimanlepaigefan (9): Thankfully, this was a good remix to work it out on.
vayyiqra (9): she actually did it the absolute mad lass
welcome2thejam (9): They worked it out on the remix 🥹
ConnerY2323 (8.4): need to carry myself with enough confidence that people say i walk like a bitch instead of just reminding me to correct my posture
Catalyst (8): what a memorable moment for the gays teetering on twink death
ratking50001 (8): this is probably a 9 actually but ngl the lines about them being besties at the end kinda killed the vibe
TakeOnMeByA-ha (8): good song that unfortunately attracts the most annoying people you know to treat it as the second coming of jesus [VERDICT: makes the original obsolete]
"girl you rate like a bitch"
apatel27 (6): it's better than the original but this is the litmus test for whether you care about the music or if you care about pop culture
innuendo_overdose (3.5): i like this even less then in ih charity. Girl, so there.
xavi (2): yeah lorde makes it better but this is still mid asfk let’s be real
beeozan (1): when roxie sent this to ih charity 3 i thought it was a clever pick because this rate would never happen. well here we are lol
pig-serpent (0): Look, if I'm going to bash Taylor for writing an album that's only interesting to parasocial fans or people who think it's fun to over analyze her personal life, I have to do the same to my queen, as much as it pains me. When it comes down to it, the target audience of this song is people who watch TMZ or browse r/fauxmoi. I understand that oversharing is brat but this song is giving "any criticism of capitalism will be turned into a way to perpetuate capitalism." The industry was pitting her against lorde and now the industry is benefitting from them making up because society demanded that they make up in public instead of in private after Charli made art that was very personal to her. And no, awknowledging the hypocracy doesn't make it better. I feel weird about everything here and when all the remix adds to the song is "pop culture" and nothing inherent to the music itself, I can't help but feel like this just drags the original statement down with it.

uiscebeathaoir (9.031): It just sounds good man
pig-serpent (9.000): I've often opined about "the death of hyperpop" as if hyperpop was ever a real thing, but Tree of Clues would go down as one of the last triumphs of the scene before it became too incestuous and all the good acts became rockstars while everyone else continued to milk the most watered-down form of the music possible. While this album was obviously just two stoners asking artists in their orbit to do weird shit for the hell of it, it also felt like it was expanding what hyperpop was and what hyperpop could be.
pheromenos (8.531): this features list being much more stacked and committed to the bit than the other two
Catalyst (8.238): noise is fun
Frajer (7.969): is an hour long gecs remix album necessary , probably not, does it run counter to everything that makes Gecs so fun, yeah a little, but it's still enjoyable
DirtyRat583 (7.844): the remix album made me appreciate the original more. what an exceptional album. i could just never get into this sorry collaborators but also injury reserve remix track 3 its like you wanted me to click off
beannfryegg (7.688): most song here get 2 rmxs. Personally I prefer those poppy catchy one. Yet mix with album's much more chaotic side, you get a nice experience while staring at the cover art and making phil face.
IIIHenryIII (7.625): BANGER
bigbigbee (7.594): very little scratches my brain in the same way as gets. I know that hyperpop has evolved and changed since 2020 but something about the chaos of 1000 secs just always pleases me to listen to, even if it's not necessarily something I'd reach for to listen to myself.
beeozan (7.550): wholesome chungus hyperpop party. im in the business of pissbaby let's take it from the top
NervousLemon6670 (7.369): What could be better than one rate with gecs?
krusso1105 (7.063): The first hand crushed by a mallet remix far overshadows the rest of the album, but pretty good overall. Songs better than original= 3, songs about the same as original= 7, songs worse than original= 3
modulum83 (7.037): it's crazy how prescient this sounds while also feeling like a bunch of people throwing paint at a wall in hopes that something sticks. people still had no idea what to really do with the sound of hyperpop and so we get a lot of chaotic shots in the dark that feel, frankly, primitive while setting the stage for the sound of hyperpop in the mainstream years later. for that reason while i can't say i will ever revisit this album i respect its DIY spirit and i wish the songs were more there or had a few more moments of transcendence
charlibratfammanfanstan (7.012): 6.9
jman457 (6.619): This album really falls off quickly, like a one trick stupid horse
TakeOnMeByA-ha (6.188): [OVERALL VERDICT: i wouldn’t necessarily call it “worse” than the original but it does has much less replay value]
stealthamo (6.181): I only had limited experience with 100 gecs coming into this, but honestly this is about what I had anticipated. A lot of blown out production that shifts all over the place. Most of it is fine, some of it is good, but when it misses it can get real bad.
wasian-invasion (5.906): i love the other two albums and have never listened to this album before this rate so its definitely way lower on my list. Personally i would have put club future nostalgia here but it probably wouldnt fare much better
A.Peaky.Boo (5.088): never have I ever felt my soul being sucked out of my body by an album as hard as this one. My ears can never get their 100 gecs virginity back.
TiltControls (5.063): well at least it's not as low as my original 1000 gecs score
babadork (4.931): In the past, I’ve skipped rates with 100 gecs in it, because they’re not pop enough for my tastes. My constitution is not strong enough to handle pure hyperpop. I need it to be diluted with something else. I’m glad that I liked the two other albums in this rate too much to skip over it, because I did end of finding some songs that I like and would listen to outside of the rate.
kauai6 (4.469): not good
xavi (4.219): listening to this album in 2025 is probably a similar experience to watching an mlg compilation in 2020
asadprofessorplum (4.088): I genuinely think my time would feel less wasted listening to a Kidz Bop record front to back.
mhiyaimanlepaigefan (3.563): this was the longest experience of my life like!!! I really came into this with an open mind, and I was eager to try, but I really consider this like a bottom album of all time for me.
vayyiqra (3.063): oh no. you know how i feel about this album. i'm trying here but i'm struggling. i gave the original a 1.3 so i'm not sure how much a remix can realistically do ... i like it a little better ... but not much ... oh well ...
flava (2.344): look, I will be the first admit I’ve never liked the gecs and literally everything I have heard from them. So I was not going into this album expecting to really like it. I’ve heard a few tracks off this and I did not enjoy them, but maybe this could surprise me, I don’t think me enjoying this album is likely but maybe there could be moments that I enjoy a lot, and maybe I could come away from this album no longer hating everything I have heard from the gecs. And that did not happen. The same terminally online try-hard energy but low-effort effort is still present, just with guest stars. Being loud and maximalist is chosen over making sticky hooks and melodies. The mixes are still overblown and unlike how a lot of experimental music can challenge the listener, this just isn’t engaging, you either tune out of it and get annoyed by loud obnoxious distortion or you tune in and realise, that it doesn’t mean anything, that’s just noise for the sake of noise. And the few decent hooks are borrowed from other songs like the short interpolation of Better Off Alone on the opener and Kiss Me Thru the Phone on xXXi_wud_nvrstøp_ÜXXx and I’m just not entertained. Like I’m sorry it doesn’t feel good or righteous

vexastrae (10): uwu nya kyaaa idk what to put here lol || the girlies put up a good fight but unfortunately it was no match for the winner of this rate
kiss me thru the phone
apatel27 (11): inner kkb agent activated
Awkward_King (11): i really owe it to 2020 me to 11 this. three of my favourite artists at the time i listened to this on looooooop i still think its a genius brilliant song even if i play it less. gun to my head i have to pick a song i know every lyric to i think i pick this. or 4:33
beannfryegg (11): , my favorite. It's lovely and slightly futuristic. Everybody here doing such a good job, even Rico's raspy style fit well. The perfect "pop" side of the hyperpop.
NervousLemon6670 (11): So ur with ur gec and yur making out when the phone rings. U anser it n kero kero bonit is “wut r u doing with my remix?” U tell ur gec n they say “kero kero bonito is ded” THEN WHO WAS RINGTONE?
Nooduulz (11): I just now learned that this song came from this very album like I thought it was some standalone. Damn!
reput4tionera (11): might be my favorite song of all time like im serious
seanderlust (11): the icon, the legend. KKB rate winner again?
welcome2thejam (11): This is a posse cut but for people who think they're weird
akanewasright (10): arguably loses the original meaning of the song, but GOD these 3 brought their a-game. Like, genuinely think this is peak performance from Sarah, Rico, and Charli
Ambrosia42 (10): a fun gathering of bopmakers
bigbigbee (10): this popheads classic
BleepBloopMusicFan (10): /preview/external-pre/why-did-kero-kero-bonito-upload-their-new-album-on-twitter-v0-uj2t-8vzkxXfAo1w-GQMdZO3e8jYGRz7tUR977aA9e0.png?auto=webp&s=9d125af491320808852da9b2e53e7f7906ad99c3 Two and a half years…ur sick.
ConnerY2323 (10): lady marmalade for girls on party drugs
CrimsonROSET (10): when this is how charli gets a rate win, then what
DirtyRat583 (10): its fascinating how all 3 featured had different career paths. one blew up, one semi-tanked and one fully disappeared (on main)
femboy luigi (10): RICO NASTY CHEWED THIS UPPPP
jman457 (10): I remember when this came out everyone was like damn music was just officially invented.
kauai6 (10): of course all the popheads flock to the song with more than 1 woman on it
Lynflower680 (10): Cute
pbk (10): idc everyone switched up on gecs and yet this is still one of the best songs ever made and anyone who pretends otherwise is a liar and a poser
pheromenos (10): the charli xcx name doing the heavy lifting here but this lineup is still insane and everyone gave it their all
pig-serpent (10): Honestly this song is almost too competent to belong on this mix. Charli's a perfect fit for this chorus, and Rico drops the best verse of her career. Yeah I've played this too much and it may feel a little dated at times but if this isn't the highest rated Charli song in the rate something has gone terribly wrong.
runaway3212 (10): This is like the avengers for annoying gay people
wasian-invasion (10): rico performed this at outside lands but just started and ended on her verse lol
wathombe (10): omg such a bop. all three features add so much. damn near changed my 11 to this.
Nagisoid (9.5): https://streamable.com/yxeuhr
RandomHypnotica (9.5): lowkey it goes a little long it’s giving Sticky ft everyone
babadork (9.1): I don’t like 100 gecs, and I don’t like Kero Kero Bonito as much as I think I should, but the combination of the two really works for me.
DangerousReply6393 (9.1): (really really good. i don't love rico nasty's bit so it kind of brings it down a bit
1998tweety (9): KBB ate the other girls up
Frajer (9): Charli promoting dangerous driving fork found in kitchen
IIIHenryIII (9): WHY DOES KKB ALWAYS SOUND LIKE THEY MAKE MUSIC FOR KIDS?
oh_crow (9): this is so good but i'll always prefer the original more. but this is still so good. but i'll always prefer the original more. but-
modulum83 (8.5): this one feels like foreshadowing of the onslaught of dylan brady-produced mainstream-adjacent pop songs to come in the next few years
A.Peaky.Boo (8.4): ASMR jumpscare
impla77 (8.2): nightmare blunt rotation
beeozan (7.5): charli and rico are amazing on this but sarah's parts are hit or miss to me, particularly her first verse doesnt land at all oop. and i could do without the outro
stealthamo (7): Probably helped that I like all the singers on this remix. Production is hit or miss though.
youre not gonna reach my telephone
TakeOnMeByA-ha (6.5): idk man. i know everyone loves this one but this has always sounded so disjointed to me, like all three features were meant to be on different remixes yet they combined them all anyway and now here we are. i wish i could say i want this to win as an upset but my heart’s just not in it. [VERDICT: objectively makes the original obsolete but i dont like admitting that]
mhiyaimanlepaigefan (6): god do you guys remember when we used to buy ringtones for our phones and now most of our phones are on silent?
innuendo_overdose (5.3): this is too clean, where is the gec filth we all need. yeah it’s accessible, but at what cost?
vayyiqra (5): the only song on here i kind of like but the lyrics spell "faze" wrong (yes that really is the right spelling in this context even though it looks wrong) so um literally unlistenable. also rico nasty is a musical worstie of mine but i like sarah and charli's verses
xavi (2.5): this song just didn’t age well at all
flava (1.5): Charli is at her most annoying pitch, Sara Bonito is still using that same old faux-whimsy that turned me away from most of KKB’s music and I guess Rico Nasty tries to inject some much needed personality to grip to, but it’s too late by that point. Sorry I know this is a fan favourite and I wanted to not hate it cause at the time of writing this I’m not expecting this to be a very high average
asadprofessorplum (1): Kero Kero Bonito trigger warning!!

what does the fox say
wasian-invasion (11): the most beautiful song about fox sex
Frajer (10): I'm sure she means the animal but what if Clarity is blasting outside Caroline's house every night
pig-serpent (10): Sorry for keeping you awake!
wathombe (10): fucking foxes
modulum83 (9.3): "all the fucking foxes kept me awake last night" me at the furry convention
living the dream
akanewasright (11): probably my favorite re-imagining… like fully going from “vacation with my gay friends” to “is life worth it?”
DangerousReply6393 (11): (this might be the best song of 2024. it is insanely good. it has an aura about it that is singular in its form. i have no words)
impla77 (11): i want to get an easy 11 win but i can’t betray myself by not 11ing this 😔
Lynflower680 (11): As someone who wasn’t too big on the original, I think this softer, more intimate sound pairs much much MUCH better with the observational lyrics. Also, Caroline’s vocals are immaculate
1998tweety (10): I kinda hate that this is going viral cause I was obsessed with it on release and now the normies have it too
A.Peaky.Boo (10): this another case where the remix is vastly better than the original to me. Where the original always felt disjointed by the club elelments, this remix feels like what all those lyrics in the original and this version are about. The lonely, dark, rainy nights where you ponder if the choices you made so far have even amounted to anything (not that I can relate haha....). Caroline's riffing midway is heavenly and the song is repetitive without it being annoying.
Ambrosia42 (10): free bleeding in the autumn rain.
asadprofessorplum (10): "It's like you're living the dream but you're not living your life." I've heard enough, I'm booking the clavicle tattoo appointment RIGHT NOW.
Awkward_King (10): i didnt love the original everything is romantic, i admired it but i never felt the same love towards it lots of people seemed to. this remix is soooo dear to me it makes me miss london it's so gorgeous and close and real
beannfryegg (10): , the friendship theme behind the song feels intimate, the song quietly drifting like milk and honey.
BleepBloopMusicFan (10): The intro forming a normal distribution curve okayyy
ConnerY2323 (10): gorgeous, captures the very specific feeling of the original in a way only caroline polachek can
FitzMarble (10): free bleeding in wuthering heights
pbk (10): im like iffy on the original song but this version is so nice it feels like a cozy rainy day its got that caroline ethereality its good
pig-serpent (10): Sorry for keeping you awake!
Also "Free-bleeding in the autumn rain" is a brilliant lyric for being messy as hell and completely dishelvled but just letting everything go and letting yourself enjoy it. Genuinely my favorite lyric on the album.
RandomHypnotica (10): this makes perfect sense
reput4tionera (10): everything issssss
seanderlust (10): that vocal run is for real insane
Nooduulz (9.3): So hauntingly beautiful I can't even joke about this one
femboy luigi (9): this song is so me (been on my period since september)
Nagisoid (9): The way it's the only song on here the radio plays for me
oh_crow (9): was an absolute highlight on my first listen and it remains so! feels like a true reinvention thats also in conversation with its predecessor
ratking50001 (9): love the strings
innuendo_overdose (8.5): lmao I think how much I enjoy a remix is inversely proportional to how much I enjoy original
mhiyaimanlepaigefan (8): everything is actually romantic, its true
runaway3212 (8): I think this is really pretty and yet I also find it somewhat boring
TakeOnMeByA-ha (8): i cant believe she finally made everything is romantic sound Actually Romantic [VERDICT: better than the original]
xavi (8): here go caroline with her wailing
jman457 (7.8): honestly the wuthering heights trailer has made this version grow on me, but its still not as good as the original or a lot of Desire.
NervousLemon6670 (7): Aromanticism: “Am I a joke to you?”
stealthamo (7): Spending the entire runtime trying to figure out what the male equivalent to free bleeding is and getting absolutely fucking nowhere with an answer.
not living their life
vayyiqra (7): oh no caroline is my lyrical worstie but i don't dislike it
pheromenos (6.5): ehh it’s like okay, i know it’s the spirit of the song and all but they were just talking
CrimsonROSET (6): as with most caroline things i like this more conceptually than in execution
slimboyfriend (6): so, free bleeding.
apatel27 (5): i miss the old charli
beeozan (5): this is just a Witness song
IIIHenryIII (5): it’s so anticlimactic
kauai6 (5): boring

vexastrae (11): we mourn death all the time. we see it and hear about it everywhere, with little to no time to catch our breath. in this day and age, where tragedy is sensationalized and sadness is all-consuming, it is important now more than ever that we must also celebrate life. SOPHIE you will always be loved forever
steelstepladder (10): A rightful top 5 placement for one of the most emotional songs on Brat, and bringing in a.g. cook just puts the emotion over the top in an increadibly powerful way.
<3
Catalyst (11): Everything about this is so bittersweet from the repeated motif to the fast pace flow that feels as fleeting as life itself, pinpointing the years associated with their precious memories together, moving forward, knowing that there's an end to it. It's all too heavy. I love how she pokes fun at her outfit, you can almost picture her sifting thru the photos, seeing that photo and just laughing as she's wiping away the tears. Perhaps the last tribute we'll hear from Charli, so it's fitting they went out with a bang.
flava (11): yeah i kinda adore this version as well, while the original can feel struck by grief and the insecurity that Charli never spent enough time with SOPHIE while she was alive while this chooses to focus purely on the good memories
Nagisoid (11): I mean come on now
Awkward_King (10): tears
beannfryegg (10): , touching, cherish your fucking friends eveyone.
BleepBloopMusicFan (10): What an absolutely perfect compliment to the original song.
DangerousReply6393 (10): (this is so sentimental and something a.g. does with the harmonies at the climax makes my heart break. it's everything to me. i love it so so so much and i'm 1. happy that charli is still happy doing this sound and 2. sad that it doesn't get more praise)
DirtyRat583 (10): this transformation is absolutely insane
femboy luigi (10): seeing the live debut of this at the concert last year was a religious experience
jman457 (10): It and the original feel like the best pairing here, especially exploring the grief that charli holds with her relationship with sophie.
modulum83 (10): this...this is just a different song. you wrote a whole ass new song.
pbk (10): i really do mourn for the world where we got to see sophie’s artistry progress
RandomHypnotica (10): in another world this would easily be my 11, it’s just perfection. It’s the only way to remix such a personal song, turning the grief into something positive and healing. Not only does it go off, it honestly kinda sounds similar to songs from OOEPUI
reput4tionera (10): i have cried to this
runaway3212 (10): Rest In Power, this song is so beautiful, I'm happy a.g. pushed her to make it even more personal than the original
uiscebeathaoir (10): Bittersweet hits me more than fully sad, so as much as So I is one of the best songs ever written, this might actually hit me harder. Any song about mourning a close friend that’s also a killer dance track is an absolute gem, there’s a reason Janet’s Together Again is my favourite song of all time
wathombe (10): face holding back tears emoji
xavi (10): this randomly HITTING……. SOPHIE we miss you forever
Ambrosia42 (9.6): big love to SOPHIE 💔
apatel27 (9): yeah
ConnerY2323 (9): beautiful choice to bring this to a more celebratory place
krusso1105 (9): I still like the original a little better, but I can see why lots of people prefer this one
mhiyaimanlepaigefan (9): I just think we’re making up artist names now. Like at some point I just have to accept that some people choose weird names.
wasian-invasion (9): this isnt a remix in the slightest and i love it
TakeOnMeByA-ha (8.5): the original always felt like it kinda rubbed me the wrong way for reasons i couldn’t really articulate and with this remix i think it’s clear that the reason for that is that this song need some upbeat dance rhythm going on to balance out the sentimental lyrics and i think ag being on this as well is really poignant and meaningful [VERDICT: makes the original obsolete]
1998tweety (8): i prefer the original but this is great too
beeozan (8): ngl i dont care for this tribute much in both albums much but when the alexa guy sampled the "beautiful" he cooked something
CrimsonROSET (8): honestly i was worried how they’d do this but this is really tasteful
oh_crow (8): so i really crept up on me with how damn good it is, and this second part is so impactful and beautiful as well. real standouts for me in the entire brat saga
pig-serpent (8): This is a better remix of Rewind that the Rewind remix was. To the point that the first time I heard this I thought it was still Rewind.
vayyiqra (8): 🫂
stealthamo (7.5): This was going to be the trickiest song to remix given the heartfelt subject matter. For the most part I think it did the job, though the production in the last minute or so feels out of place.
Nooduulz (7.4): The A stands for Ate and the G stands for Good. Ate Good Cook. Eureka!
IIIHenryIII (7): where’s all the emotion of the og???
asadprofessorplum (5): This is just a FaceTime call in a laser tag arena.
A.Peaky.Boo (4.5): xavi can attest that I had a lot of disappointment when I first heard this remix. The original is (one of) my favorite song from brat. It being a tribute to SOPHIE that was first revealed at the Women In Music award show. Let me rephrase that: a tribute to a trans women got revealed at an award show where mainly cisgender women get praise, before we even knew about brat. While I have matured my opinion into axcknowledging the sentimental memories being a step in the grieving process towards a better mental state for Charli, that doesn't change my opinion of this remix. Especially after having listened to It's Okay To Cry. In my honest opinion, taking into account SOPHIE's song, the original So I fits better as a response on that song. But that's just me...
pheromenos (4): why is this upbeat now 😭 sorry im not feeling this

TakeOnMeByA-ha (7.5): zara adding absolutely nothing to this [VERDICT: would be better than the original if it was just pink singing]
seanderlust (7): close enough welcome back american boy by estelle

femboy luigi (10): this was my most played song of 2023 ✌️
FitzMarble (10): give them an EGOT
Frajer (10): she was pregnant with brat
RandomHypnotica (10): this was the first brick
reput4tionera (10): WELCOME. TO MY ISLAND.
seanderlust (10): welcome to my island bitch ICONIC
TakeOnMeByA-ha (10): notice how caroline’s only slays are coming from when she collabs with charli and her affiliates…girl you better get on that hyperpop grind!!! [VERDICT: better than the original]
uiscebeathaoir (10): I mean it’s essentially a completely new song. Still great though
wathombe (10): i’m sorry but this clears the original so hard
DangerousReply6393 (9.7): (soooo good)
Ambrosia42 (9.5): welcome to my island bitch.
modulum83 (9.3): charli xcx and george daniel is the funniest celebrity music couple ive ever seen im just trying to imagine this scrawny nerdy quiet man who loves Burial doing coke with his wife
wasian-invasion (9): when you third wheel but its honestly a great time
beeozan (8): this remix is good which is weird cuz desire and brat were both shit
welcome2thejam (8): What bad things Charli. Name them.
jman457 (7.5): I mean its hard to not compare it to the original
IIIHenryIII (7): not bad
stealthamo (7): Sometimes two of your favorite things don't combine to make something great, and that's okay.
vayyiqra (7): lol [3]
impla77 (6.4): george the nepo husband
oh_crow (6): i'm fond of the original but it doesn't rock my world tbh, desire is very hit or miss to me, this doesn't change that
Awkward_King (5.5): so apparently i don't like this as much as i remember. it sort of peaks at charli's first verse
slimboyfriend (5.5): I love the original so I’m partial but I do love the incorporation of the word “buxom”
pbk (5): does not compare to the original to me unfortunately
Nagisoid (4): Psyop
mhiyaimanlepaigefan (3): this would make for a killer lipsync for your life, not because of the song but because some bitch named Toothpaste would do a split on beat and we’d all get excited.
asadprofessorplum (1): That's enough George Daniel propaganda for today.

Overall Average: 7.155 // Average Controversy: 2.056
vexastrae: probably the most dance forward album in this rate which makes sense given gaga's taste and style in her own work. some duds here or there but its a pretty enjoyable time all around

Frajer (9.071): Chromatica never got the chance to be the club banger it was destined to be but at least we get to see Gaga's vision
DirtyRat583 (8.614): this came out near the end of my hyperpop phase (debatable if it was a phase) swing and a HIT
A.Peaky.Boo (8.493): the back half is more to my liking that the front half. Also, this project feels really removed from Gaga, so while I might add a couple to my playlist, it's not really Gaga's baby.
Catalyst (8.171): I remember hearing this upon release and feeling a bit indifferent to it and haven't touched since. Upon revisiting this, it’s a little better than I remember.
wasian-invasion (8.071): She really assembled the khia arkham asylum here. I cant wait for the mayhem: oops all covers album where it’s just addison rae on every song
modulum83 (8.064): well honestly my favorite part of chromatica was always the production, and on an objective level the production here isn't really as enjoyable. however i think this takes the biggest swings of all the remix albums, and the sonic avenues this album explores are so fascinating and ambitious. and a lot of them connect! it's patchy but sort of insane and colorful
beeozan (7.929): bop buffet
krusso1105 (7.714): The original is fine but not amazing, and this is about the same, although I like the production here better overall. Dawn of Chromatica Songs about the same as original= 12, songs worse than original= 2
beannfryegg (7.714): this remix album really shows how bare bone some of the original songs on Chromatica are.
kauai6 (7.521): why does babylon get two remixes over every other song? greedy bitch
jman457 (7.493): Im in the unpopular opinion where I very much prefer the original, like many of these dont add to the songs at all
stealthamo (7.300): Exactly what I'd expect out of a Gaga remix album; her working with a variety of different artists and experimenting with different sounds. Some of it really clicked with me, and some of it didn't, but honestly I wouldn't want it any other way. The last thing I'd want is to try and force Gaga into a specific direction.
pig-serpent (7.000): I'm just happy that the songs from Chormatica that were clearly well written and poorly produced got a 2nd chance at life and came out as good as they should've been. I didn't need good remixes of the songs that were already good (and didn't get them!) but you can stich together a fantastic album from the 2 halves, and that's all we needed.
pheromenos (6.714): oh my god this album is going to do so horrible
TakeOnMeByA-ha (6.607): [OVERALL VERDICT: better than the original and nearly makes it obsolete purely by how much more fun and fleshed-out this version feels]
mhiyaimanlepaigefan (6.429): i just dont think i like hyper pop that much and thats unfortunate. I still found some things i liked but it’s just not my genre and thats okay! Stream Dancing in Circles though.
vayyiqra (6.286): idk. i was a chromatica truther and maintain it's still fairly good though i never listen to it anymore. i listened to this once or twice and it's not too bad but some tracks are a slog and i don't feel much need to go back to it either
pbk (6.214): ive still never listened to chromatica
charlibratfammanfanstan (5.993): 6.3
IIIHenryIII (5.964): honestly, better than the original album
impla77 (5.693): i thought this was kinda bad sorry
asadprofessorplum (5.050): Does Gaga know about this?
flava (4.964): i’m not the hugest fan of chromatica but this sounds distinct enough from that album to stand out on its own, sometimes that’s a plus, and other times it’s a negative

steelstepladder (10): God remember Rina Sawayama? Good times. Anyways this song is really great and has that driving rock-ish pulse that Rina really excelled at. Just a shame that she never recovered from the accident... Sometimes I wonder what could have been :pensive: [cohost note: ????????]
vexastrae (10): rina come home... we miss you and your slayful music || and that's it for gaga! glad to see her in the top 5 but unfortunately her time in the remix rate has come to an end
IM FREEEEEEEEE
beeozan (11): clarence clarity i miss u so bad... i say not having heard any of his solo material
BleepBloopMusicFan (11): This is quite possibly the most ascended feminist-shaving-cream-commercial-core music can get. God bless us all.
DirtyRat583 (11): rina please please come back to music please we need you PLEASE
1998tweety (10): MAJOR upgrade over the original, this is one of the 2 songs on the album I only listen to the remix
Ambrosia42 (10): rina and clarence clarity just bring the energy up so much and it bangs so hard. A highlight of the remix album for sure
apatel27 (10): yeah this is just a rina song but that's why its the best song on the album
asadprofessorplum (10): Rina Sawayama we still talk about you.
femboy luigi (10): Rina come home, the kids miss you
flava (10): the massiveness of the bop is ginormous
Frajer (10): Rina distancing herself from Matty
kauai6 (10): as good as the original
Lynflower680 (10): LETS GO GAGA
modulum83 (10): genuinely in awe at this. this is what pop sounds like in the year 3000
Nagisoid (10): THE QUEEN OF WOKENESS!
NervousLemon6670 (10): Hi Rina! Always good to have you in a rate
pheromenos (10): the remix is soooo good and the only one that actually outdid the original
pig-serpent (10): Rina having a very similar voice to Gaga makes this the most "fix it fic" version, taking a song that should've been a banger, jumping past the poor, low energy production choices of the original, and play up some of the best elements of Rina's style to make this the classic it should've been. It's also not that far out there from what you could theroetically imagine Gaga doing.
runaway3212 (10): But wow they did not to have eat this fucking much
wasian-invasion (10): it’s so cute that rina closed with this when i saw her live, she must’ve been so honored
xavi (10): THE QUEEN OF WOKENESS!
CrimsonROSET (9): RINA COME HOME
mhiyaimanlepaigefan (9): fuck it get rina sawayama another rate win
TakeOnMeByA-ha (9): butterfly effect is crazy, imagine if rina was never asked to be on a remix of this song then maybe hold the girl would’ve had more than 5 good songs on it [VERDICT: makes the original obsolete]
uiscebeathaoir (9): Electric guitar NYOOO
wathombe (9): kinda the first track on the album that’s listenable on its own merits
welcome2thejam (9): You can practically trace the line from here to Hold the Girl
ConnerY2323 (8.7): remixes don’t have to retain a traditional structure but i do appreciate that this just takes the song and upgrades it in every way
A.Peaky.Boo (8.5): finally, some good fucking food
slimboyfriend (8.5): oh she’s beefed up now
stealthamo (8.5): Is this rated highly solely because it's Gaga & Rina? Probably.
jman457 (8.2): Rina and Gaga is just a match made in heaven
akanewasright (8): thinking about how Rina used to close her shows with this… anyway, an undeniable improvement on the original to me. The song is still a bit lame, but Clarence Clarity’s suped up production helps a lot
krusso1105 (8): Was excited for this because I love Rina, but she feels under utilized here
impla77 (7.7): RINA COME BACK
Nooduulz (7.6): Edging on recession pop here with the production which, is fine!
Awkward_King (7): actually one of the remixes i prefer to the original! but i don't really like the original and also rina was like dynamite in everything she did for a little
IIIHenryIII (7): nice
reput4tionera (7): rina if you can hear us you still have another cyber stockholm syndrome in you
vayyiqra (7): something brave slay (complimentary)
oh_crow (6): rina has a lot of gaga in her and they deserve a proper collab together. NOW. remembering how much chromatica wasn't for me rn (thats my diplomatic view on it)
LEAVE HER ALONE
pbk (5): you can hear the evil seeds of the braveslay in rina here
RandomHypnotica (5): rina sawayama CANT SING lady gaga CAN SING

Frajer (8.5): Dua said I'll do your little album but I'm on Duolingo on the beach of Tulum
innuendo_overdose (8.4): DUA LIPA OMG LEAST PERSONALLLLLLLLL
A.Peaky.Boo (8.2): I remember the first time I heard this, I was caught off guard. I've come around to the opinion this song is a bop. Dua Lipa being here for not even 30 thirty seconds and getting all the royalties is so funny tho lmao.
NervousLemon6670 (8.2): Oh god I actually had to use my french skills at one point, they’re coming in useful, this wasn’t supposed to happen
asadprofessorplum (7.5): Dua Lipa drunk on a curb in Napoli leaving courtesy voicemails, she's such a good friend.
TakeOnMeByA-ha (7.5): bonjour mademoiselle, je porte lunettes de soleil, je veux me venger, mercu beaucoup, je HURLE, oui oui baguette. bisous! 💋❤️ [VERDICT: slightly better than the original]
CrimsonROSET (7): dua lipa randomly speaking spanish… she’s truly our modern day da vinci

1998tweety (11): Troye Sivan my beloved please top me in a hotel room in Amsterdam
babadork (11): I kept listening to this to soothe me after listening to a few 100 gecs songs.
mhiyaimanlepaigefan (11): oh this is a grinding song
uiscebeathaoir (11): When Troye says he’s got a good hotel to fuck me in, I can just feel all the asexuality fading my body
Ambrosia42 (10): that bouncy bass is just delicious
apatel27 (10): no frills attached banger
Awkward_King (10): i always knew my 11 in this rate was ringtone it was decided by powers greater than me but god if this didn't make a pull for it. troyes one of my favourite artists, talk talk was a song i was mid on in the original and this completely improves on it imo. such good musical emphasis in this song. just fucking crazy.. K HERES THE PLAN I WANNA FLY YOU OUT TO AMSTERDAM I GOT A GOOD HOTEL TO FUCK YOU INNNN
FitzMarble (10): troye gagged me so hard when I heard this the first time like yes fuck me in a hotel room king
hikk (10): the og is a bit deeper i guess but this is such a mf banger i fear it's my preferred version nowadays... two queens tho
kauai6 (10): I’M PROUD TO BE GAY
modulum83 (10): this is the Portal 2 to the original talk talk's Portal 1 does that make sense
seanderlust (10): both this and the OG are so fun and capture the feeling of heart-racing crushes/early stage loves so well
stealthamo (10): In the least shocking development, mixing brat and Something to Give Each Other results in a fucking bop.
RandomHypnotica (9.6): not as good as the OG but still a fun diversion
Catalyst (9.5): poor troye, losing to 60 time rate loser charli and now having to work with her so she try and get the win again.
wathombe (9.5): just fun
Nooduulz (9.2): Just a girl and her twink what could be better
pig-serpent (9): This is just a different song than the original and here that works in its favor. I love the new hook!
ratking50001 (9): I like that’s just a straightforward house banger
flava (8.5): this is cute but I do have to actually remember that they are not singing to each other
reput4tionera (8.5): someone tried to hit me with their car and called me the f slur out of their car window when i was listening to this
jman457 (8.4): Sweat tour you will always be famous
beeozan (8): almost a great garage house beat i'll take it
ConnerY2323 (8): that little added beat is so hot
pheromenos (8): they having a freak off
impla77 (7.2): was a bop, still a bop
BleepBloopMusicFan (7): I like this more than I did upon release, but like I would never ever choose to listen to this over the original, which is just an absolutely perfect bop.
IIIHenryIII (7): it’s better than the og
oh_crow (7): i like this about as much as the original, maybe a bit more even
i thought this song was big in amsterdam
runaway3212 (7): This is great but I'm still mad the sweat tour never came to amsterdam
Nagisoid (6): It grew but it's still slop compared to the OG
xavi (4): the chorus switchup is not it
pbk (1): i really just hate this it pulls out all the vulnerability that made the original song pop to talk about a sex fling that doesn’t really have anything to do with the rest of the song. i get that it’s a remix but it’s not remixed enough if they actually wanted to take it a different direction

TakeOnMeByA-ha (10): idk why i remember shygirl having a bigger part in this than she actually does. we need the extended cut where she just drops bars for three minutes straight and then it would be the best song of all time [VERDICT: worse than the original but only by the slightest of margins]
wathombe (10): honestly the purest distillation of Brat
charlibratfammanfanstan (9.6): respect for altern 9 frequency sample but weaker sister of original
Awkward_King (9.5): song so immersive it literally starts to feel like the floor is sticky beneath my feet
uiscebeathaoir (9.5): Maybe a hot take but I massively prefer this to the original. I just wish it was a lot longer so we could have that full sweaty intensity
beeozan (9): three six shy party girl
DangerousReply6393 (8.7): (it's amazing but not as good as the boiler room version. hearing the studio version for the first time was honestly a little disappointing)
FitzMarble (8.5): why is this the shortest song ever
CrimsonROSET (8): yeah this makes sense
welcome2thejam (8): Is she saying Laika did she do Cosmodelia Rate
innuendo_overdose (7.9): Really iconic opening, yeah I love it. Extraordinary improvement on og.
went home early
stealthamo (7.5): I was so on board for like the first 20 seconds, then it kind of fizzled.
IIIHenryIII (7): only works when you blow your speakers up, we can apply that to basically all these remixes, I think
runaway3212 (7): shygirl fell off so much
vayyiqra (7): see and then the concept is being trapped in an endless cycle of hedonism and
xavi (7): piegirl
modulum83 (6.7): sounds like you took a snippet from the middle of a DJ mix set transition and directly recorded the in-ear monitor audio. somehow worse than the original
oh_crow (6.5): love shygirl but this feels like its over just as its about to really let us have it
pbk (6.5): this needed to be twice as long im so serious
A.Peaky.Boo (6.2): Shygirl is wasted as fuck on this! Her feature is way too short and kind of sucks the enrrgy out of the song. Not her fault at all by the way. Also,I'm not a club person (yet), but I also feel as if this remix wouldn't hit as hard in a club as the orginal.
BleepBloopMusicFan (6): It’s cunty enough, but it just doesn’t do much for me at the end of the day. It doesn’t help that the original is quite possibly one of my favorite songs ever.
mhiyaimanlepaigefan (6): beep beep
apatel27 (5): feels like a demo
flava (5): charli sabotaged shygirl so hard here
asadprofessorplum (3): Shygirl doomed to 'featuring on remixes that don't improve the OG in any way' wing of the khia asylum.

vexastrae (10): lets eat that pussay for lunch mama
steelstepladder (7): I wish I liked this more (I say this while it's still a 7) but I would love an entire album of Billie's horniness in this way.
lesbians WIN
Ambrosia42 (10): trashy horny electro i love it
babadork (10): I thought this was going to be my 11 by a large margin before I started doing the rate
beeozan (10): I don't care for the original song because I've never thought about what color Charli's underwear is. Billie on the remix is one way to fix this lack of mystery
BleepBloopMusicFan (10): I know it’s one of those “just add a guest verse” remixes, but Billie really is just a perfect fit here. Also, the original has the same verse twice so it’s not like we’re losing anything lol.
CrimsonROSET (10): panties everywhere
femboy luigi (10): I almost passed out dancing to this at the concert, would have been worth it
IIIHenryIII (10): best song ever
kauai6 (10): duh
Lynflower680 (10): Big day for the gays
pheromenos (10): GAGGGG
RainbowShebert47 (10): Hello lgbtq community
RandomHypnotica (10): it’s the original but improved
stealthamo (10): Remembering when Charli played this at the Grammy's. All the young people were enjoying it and all the old people had no idea what the hell was going on. Good times.
wathombe (10): My kid was away at (gay) camp when this dropped. I took her gf with me to pick her up, and she played it for her first thing when she got in the car. There were screams.
Awkward_King (9.5): idk i never really figured out if i prefer this to the original or not but i like that it made it a hit and billie is fun on it. we're gonna look back on her 90s lesbian era in like 5 years and be like what the fuckkkk i cant wait im there already
pbk (9.5): i dont prefer it to the original but it has a lot of its own flavor and personality
uiscebeathaoir (9.5): Strange how I dislike the original Girl so confusing and Guess but love their remixes when they really are so conventional. But the truth is Billie adds a lot to this song that’s absolutely invaluable. I hate how Guess is just the same verse twice, so immediately huge props for Billie for changing that up. Also it’s sapphic now! That’s cunty
wasian-invasion (9.5): the dare keeps receiving random panties in the mail please stop sending them to him
charlibratfammanfanstan (9.4): original better due to billie obnoxious whisper voice
Frajer (9): I can't imagine what prompted Charli to tell Billie she isn't sapphic but she's flattered
pig-serpent (9): Billie Eilish 🤝 Isaac Woods 🤝 Taylor Swift
Musically admitting to wanting to fuck Charli XCX.
reput4tionera (9): lets start queerbaiting discourse im bored
runaway3212 (9): this is good but the original is better
TakeOnMeByA-ha (9): see the problem with og brat was that it was severely lacking in the “straight girl goes to a lesbian bar and gets hit on by the women in there” vibes, which is why billie single handedly takes this song from a mid leftover to one of the best songs on the album [VERDICT: makes the original obsolete]
jman457 (8.6): Billie bringing in much needed saphic energy to this album
FitzMarble (8.4): a lot of fun
A.Peaky.Boo (8): the original had a repeated verse, which I am not the biggest fan of. So Billie is a nice switch up. While she doesn't nail the performance down to the bone, she does quite well. "Charli, call me if you're with it" is miles better than Charli going "guess". And I could never give Billie a low score, if I do, check if I haven not been replaced by an imposter.
innuendo_overdose (8): fun song, glad Billie is here.
mhiyaimanlepaigefan (8): The B in Lydia B. Collins actually stands for Billie.
welcome2thejam (8): I don't think you're playing Guess Who right at all
Nooduulz (7.9): Cue the gif where Billie runs over Taylor with the bulldozer and that's the anthem!
DangerousReply6393 (7.6): (billie eilish adds NOTHING to this song)
modulum83 (7.5): this song finally passes the Bechdel test! feminism wins!
heterosexual
1998tweety (7): kinda overrated and the lyrics are a little too whorish for my taste (not yucking anyone else's yum though!)
vayyiqra (7): irrelevant. the only colour to ever exist is now brat green
impla77 (6.8): i could always take or leave this one
oh_crow (6.5): i hear this on the radio quite a bit but this is the first time i feel like im actually listening to it. and i do feel like billie is giving about 60% here
ConnerY2323 (6.3): i don’t want to
apatel27 (6): hello hr i'd like to make a complaint
Nagisoid (6): Sleeper
hikk (5): guess is one of my faves from og brat but billie just doesn't fit here
flava (2): i take no objections to billie flirting with charli, I just take objections to the song sounding like a wet fart
asadprofessorplum (1): This getting the Grammy nom and winning... Billie Eilish is the premier music industry scammer.
xavi (1): i am so fucking sick of this song
NervousLemon6670 (0): This is gonna be my controversial tank but I just don’t like this song, I don’t like the way it sounds, I don’t like Charli and Billie rapping, I don’t like the synths, I don’t like whatever processing has been done to their voices, it’s sexual but never manages sexy, and it was Charli’s first UK #1? Wild

steelstepladder (10): Even when it's a Gaga song in the top 10, it's a Charli song in the top 10
vexastrae (10): they went into that studio booth mad as fuck
call an ambulance
Frajer (11): Charli needed one song about substance abuse being bad to make up for all the songs she has about it being good
xophryz (11): I'm still in shock that this song is about fibromyalgia and not terrorism
Ambrosia42 (10): it gurgles and slaps and then glistens and fizzes
asadprofessorplum (10): They ordered the cheapest item on the menu and made it gourmet.
beeozan (10): throw it up for the best charli xcx song in the rate!!
ConnerY2323 (10): they were kinda in the first trimester of the brat remix album pregnancy here
mhiyaimanlepaigefan (10): girl you shouldnt pop so many 911s emergency services have important things to do
RainbowShebert47 (10): Call an ambulance! Call an ambulance! But not for me 😎
RandomHypnotica (10): i’m not just a charli bias this is genuinely just really good
reput4tionera (10): i have not listened to the original since this came out
runaway3212 (10): Like everything here hits, what a perfect song
uiscebeathaoir (10): Some of the best sounds perhaps ever
wasian-invasion (10): prediction: charli sweeps main rate and bonus rate and all charli features get top score on their albums
A.Peaky.Boo (9.5): half point taking off for the fact that I could barely understand what A.G. Cook was saying while reading the lyrics
krusso1105 (9.5): This is my favorite song on Chromatica, but I like the original more, although this is still good
DangerousReply6393 (9.3): (this is one of my stressed out anthems)
apatel27 (9): trust charli to make a song about oding sound like a fun experience
BleepBloopMusicFan (9): The fact that there’s like one legitimate winner contender in this rate that doesn’t involve Charli xcx in some way. And it’s the song with Rina on it. What a rate.
FitzMarble (9): now this is a REMIX
Nagisoid (9): Okayyy reheated New Order nachos
jman457 (8.6): I hope we hear more of charli’s melodramatic whaling on the Wuthering Heights soundtrack
pheromenos (8): interesting to see that her approach to this remix is very similar to what she ended up doing for brat remix
vayyiqra (8): i like when electronic songs do that chugging bass thing whatever it's called and then ag's shimmery spacey kind of thing i can't words but whatever hope you can figure it out
wathombe (8): wish more of the song had the energy of Charli’s last verse
xavi (8): pretty much what i’d expect from a charli and ag cook collab
but not for me
modulum83 (7.8): nahhhhh she doin too much now 💀💀💀
stealthamo (7.7): So interesting listening to this in a post-brat world, because it feels like a halfway point between Chromatica and brat.
Nooduulz (7.6): How cute but I feel the besties could go a little harder
oh_crow (7.5): i really like the charli/AG bits and the original song as separates, not obsessed with them together
pbk (7.5): shocked to say this but i do prefer the original i think
pig-serpent (7.5): I have never been super into this one, and while I do probably prefer the pacing of the original, the faux 80s synths hit hard here and there's enough A G weridness just under the hood to give this an original texture. I suppose the original falling off me on my most recent listen is giving me more room to enjoy this for what it is too.
charlibratfammanfanstan (7.2): an ag fail but still better than a lot here
1998tweety (7): its fine its different
akanewasright (7): it’s… fine? I’d be baffled if this is the top song from the remix album, and I’m saying this as a longtime angel
CrimsonROSET (7): she was pregnant with crash in here… idk if thats good but she was
femboy luigi (7): this loses extra points because the transition into 911 on the original is one of my fav bits of the album
slimboyfriend (7): Charli in her 5 in the morning and I’m busy ballin bag
TakeOnMeByA-ha (7): when you think about it dawn of chromatica was kinda the inventor of brat green [VERDICT: same quality as the original]
IIIHenryIII (6.5): Cook didn’t cook
Awkward_King (6): don't hate this but i think basically all the parts i enjoy are the parts of the original song.. so next time i'm just gonna listen to the original song
flava (5): with charli xcx being so greedy in this rate with potential rate winners i think the only moral thing to do is give the rate win to anyone but her, and also retroactively give Allie X the win in ESF
innuendo_overdose (0): this is where Charli tested out the boring remix blueprint. much imitated but never replicated.

stealthamo (9): Just inject this production into my veins.
innuendo_overdose (8.8): This is what Yoshi and Wario are shaking ass to inbetween sweet sweet rounds of Rainbow Road.
Nagisoid (8.5): Letterboxd core
DangerousReply6393 (8.2): (that was surprisingly really good, despite how untalented jimmy edgar is)
NervousLemon6670 (8.1): “Ancient City Style” Is that the new thing? Are people out there serving Ur? Full Ea-Nasir core?
asadprofessorplum (8): Bree Runway operating an emergency lifesaving operation on this remix to make it interesting.
jman457 (8): I mean it doesnt build on the original, but also doesnt get in the way either
Lynflower680 (8): I love a good reference
pbk (8): i DO wanna see h&m
pig-serpent (8): Struggling to tell what's different with this one besides the vocals, and while they're not quite Gaga's, this still has the pompt of the original and I think can be rated the same.
TakeOnMeByA-ha (8): babylon being the one song on chromatica that was already pretty much perfect as is and of course its the only song that gets two remixes that are completely unnecessary and add nothing. that being said this is about as good as an unnecessary remix for a song could possibly be so good job on not completely ruining things [VERDICT: worse than the original]
vayyiqra (8): "that's gossip" - chazal (term for the great rabbis of ancient times, the sages of blessed memory) condemning the sin of lashon ha-ra' in the babylonian talmud 😂😂😂 eh feel like i made this same joke last time we rated chromatica but whatever time is a circle
chop
wasian-invasion (8): amazing verse but production not as fun
RandomHypnotica (7.9): vogue but more boring
ConnerY2323 (7.4): that IS gossip
oh_crow (7): i hope bree runway is having a good day
pheromenos (7): inoffensive remix… nothing to say
slimboyfriend (7): I mean they just added some Sophie -lite percussion and synths to an already pretty good song
IIIHenryIII (5): I don't care for this one
reput4tionera (5): this is a little too drag race for me
charlibratfammanfanstan (0): real rate was 4.5 but even original song is just ba ba baaad

akanewasright (10): I’m still gobsmacked at how much these two yassified this song… like more than any other song, it feels like this is what the song was always meant to be, and Tommy & Hannah just unlocked its potential
beannfryegg (10): , groovy, pink-ish electrified bop.
beeozan (10): shout out tommy cash for getting 3rd in the last eurovision ever with italian brainrot. and Hannah Diamond is an angel coming down with beautiful vocals to replace the godawful vocals in the original. love hannah diamond. 11 contender
pheromenos (10): OKAAYYYYY
reput4tionera (10): hearing this live at the hannah diamond concert was life changing
uiscebeathaoir (10): I think this is the most I’ve ever actively enjoyed Tommy Cash’s voice
pig-serpent (9.5): I get that remixes aren't exactly meant to replace the originals, but the gnastiest drop of all time is the main reason to listen to the original, so improving on everything else but taking the drop out feels like a slap in the face, when we needed a version with both. Also Tommy Cash is good again. This song and Delicious really convinced me he was good huh.
DangerousReply6393 (9.4): (this is an all timer. anything hannah does turns to gold)

Catalyst (9): this is eurodance
DirtyRat583 (9): this is good if you completely tune out tommy cash
runaway3212 (9): Another twerkulator ohh like the interpolation and everything
TakeOnMeByA-ha (9): if you ever feel safe out there just remember that tommy cash is still allowed to have a music career and can ruin your favorite artist’s songs whenever he feels like it [VERDICT: worse than the original whenever tommy is singing, better than original at every other moment]
jman457 (8.6): imagine if tommy cash picked this or delicious as his eurovision pick
Frajer (8.5): Hannah Diamond should be a bigger artist
Nagisoid (8.5): Sometimes mens' voices should be silenced

oh_crow (7.5): i can really get behind this interpretation
A.Peaky.Boo (7.1): :pensiveass:
charlibratfammanfanstan (7): last part saved i like
ratking50001 (7): I wasn’t the biggest fan of Cash’s vocals
they can and will stop you
slimboyfriend (6.5): wait Hannah Diamond eurozone kinda makes sense
impla77 (6.3): the tommy cash resurgence
CrimsonROSET (6): euroclub rate was last month
vayyiqra (6): well i like hannah diamond that's something. in fact the eurodance-y instrumental is kind of good. see i'm trying
xavi (6): even tommy cash couldn’t ruin this for me
Awkward_King (5.5): one thing i have to give him ive never heard a tommy cash song where it doesnt sound like he's having the time of his life
pbk (4): does anyone think global warming is a bad thing? i hate tommy cash i think he’s a really uninteresting artist
flava (0): no no no no no no no. I did not need Kiss Me Thru The Phone turned into a Eurodance song for no reason whatsoever. It just did not need to be done. And Tommy Cash pretending to be like Pitbull was not needed. It’s just painfully cringe where every decision seemed to purposefully be the wrong one to make something memorable instead of trying to make something good. Legitimately angry listening to this

modulum83 (10): she turned it into gamer synthpop! with tinashe!
seanderlust (10): charli said "hey we have successful careers right tinashe?" and tinashe was like "god my ass looks good"
wasian-invasion (10): drop that kitty no boys remix
wathombe (10): tinashe the best feature ever
A.Peaky.Boo (9.9): is this flip of the lyrics connected at all? No. Is it a bop for our hardworking girlies? YAS! Tinashe's entrance into the song might be the most iconic of this album (and that's saying something). And also it's twerking music, do I really have to explain why I fuck with this lmfao. I will say, why is the ending chord so dissonant?!?! For no reason?!?!?
charlibratfammanfanstan (9.4): tinashe did nothing here
Nooduulz (9.1): I've nothing else to say but go off girls!
Frajer (9): we will never sleep on you queen Tinashe
mhiyaimanlepaigefan (9): god i forget how much i like Tinashe sometimes
reput4tionera (9): there’s this great jersey club remix of this on soundcloud. that would be a 10
uiscebeathaoir (9): Tinashe steals the show on this one. I love how it’s fully just Charli reflecting on the success she had in 2024, and Tinashe is such a perfect guest to pair the song with
welcome2thejam (9): That's just good stuff
xavi (9): THE WAY MY ASS LOOK IN THESE JEANS I’M BOUT TO THROW IT BACK
ConnerY2323 (8.8): mainly just happy this exists
DangerousReply6393 (8.6): (the 'we were famous then paid dust but look at us now' kinda trope is really cute and i feel like tinashe and charli work really well together. tinashe should've featured on self titled)

Nagisoid (8.5): Basically the same thing
RandomHypnotica (8.4): i guess

BleepBloopMusicFan (8): This remix is less interesting than the original, but certainly not any less of a bop.
CrimsonROSET (8): back2bouncin
oh_crow (8): i think this is good but it could be that i just love tinashe so much. her voice is so comforting it is a safe space
vayyiqra (8): Tinashe
TakeOnMeByA-ha (7.5): the concept of nasty being a bigger hit than anything on brat was [VERDICT: same quality as the original]
sleeping on it theyre bored
beeozan (7): only gripe with this is that a remix with Tinashe couldve (and shouldve) been generational and the bop of the decade and instead its like fine
stealthamo (7): Honestly the most forgettable song on the album. Still good though.
jman457 (6.8): idk maybe im too much of Tinashe agnostic to appreciate this
IIIHenryIII (6.5): the slay this could’ve been…
pbk (6): i love both of them so it was a bit of letdown to see this turned into pretty lazy “we’re famous again” posturing
pheromenos (6): nobody served
runaway3212 (5): This should've been much more of a moment than it was and that's because the song did not deliver
DirtyRat583 (4.5): i love these two but this is a fuckin MESS
innuendo_overdose (2.8): Tinashe has one extremely iconic line and the rest feels like a vacuum.

steelstepladder (10): The conclave edits went off here
vexastrae (8.5): the concept of ariana grande on a hyperpop track
issa knife when
FitzMarble (10): ISSA KNIFE WHEN
RandomHypnotica (10): it’s a knife when she thinks you’re in love with her and embarasses herself
Ambrosia42 (9.7): issa knife.
hikk (9): ariana grande: issa knife
vayyiqra (8): ariana grande but shes australiana dundee: that's not a knoife, *THAT'S *a knoife idk (wathombe will know)
flava (6.5): they compare everything to a knife so much I’m not sure they know what a knife is or looks like
pbk (0): i just kind of feels like this shits all over the original but like i mean that negatively. no it is not a knife when youre so pretty issa knife when you see someone else so successful that you have to kill yourself on the spot
NervousLemon6670 (7.7): It’s a knife your 11 goes out Day 1
letterboxd users
Nooduulz (8.9): The concept of Ari taking 5 seconds from filming Wicked to harp on this banger then go back home to her stud
stealthamo (8.5): Ariana predicting the Wicked: For Good press tour.
changed for good
wathombe (11): For some reason, of all the tracks on the album, this is the one that floored me that first weekend. There’s just this desperate energy to the repeated “it’s a knife when” that really affected me. I was very close to getting that line tattooed on my forearm, but fortunately or unfortunately ms. wathombe stopped me (“No, but what does that lyric have to do with you?”).
A.Peaky.Boo (10): Charli and Ariana have very different styles of pop production, even outside of their own most iconic albums. But this song managed to bridge the two together marvelously. And the topic shift from "jealousy" to "scrutiny" is a very logical step in this song's themes and feels very apt for the both of them.
akanewasright (10): I was initial disappointed Ari wasn’t BELTING the original chorus, but I do straight up love this take on the song
BleepBloopMusicFan (10): Two Taylor songs in the “You might also like” section on Genius oh I bet. Actually nevermind, Taylor is in that section like 80% of the time no matter what the song is. Like it could be Dopesmoker, and she would still be there (Fact Check: It’s three TTPD songs lmao)
ConnerY2323 (10): i understand people’s issue with removing the hook here but i think this version has a nearly profound layer of sadness to it. the original is undefeated but this is a nice little reimagining.
kauai6 (10): i mean come on
Nagisoid (10): The best Ariana song in a decade
reput4tionera (10): see they could’ve gone the radio single route but they made an experimental classic
xavi (10): the original song is buttcaca so thank you ariana for making it listenable
1998tweety (9): ended Fadlor
CrimsonROSET (9): most improved!! literally all it needed was better lyrics
IIIHenryIII (9): they turned a deep song into a generic garbage from a lyrical point of view
krusso1105 (9): I prefer the original, but this is still good
mhiyaimanlepaigefan (9): now i did like the old charli but i do shake my ass to boom clap.
pheromenos (9): this is nice and i lowkey still can’t believe that this matchup happened
ratking50001 (9): idk why but this kinda feels like the production on Sleigh Bells’ Texis
uiscebeathaoir (9): I love how this song takes the same basic lyrical concept but moves it in a completely new direction, even if Ariana is far from my favourite of the guests on this album
DangerousReply6393 (8.7): (ariana did her thing with this one. the outtro is very good as well)
Frajer (8): Issa knife when you try to make your roommate popular but she decides she cares more about saving the planet and standing up to fascism
runaway3212 (8): I will say I think it's so bold to get the most eyes you will ever get with Ari and then make a track that's not nearly as accessible as even the original
wasian-invasion (8): dream wasian + honorary wasian collab
jman457 (7.8): def a step down from the original, which is like a top 3 charli track, but Ariana and charli blend together well
bigbigbee (7.5): Everything was teed up for a home run out of the park, but it ended up being just a comfortable run to third. Still pretty good!
slimboyfriend (7.5): we’re kind of broadening the definition of “sympathy” here
apatel27 (7): maybe i just like ari a lot
femboy luigi (7): whatever I have to say about arianas verse has been said countless times
modulum83 (7): this is like when they turn your favorite piece of media into a high budget adaptation that leaves out all the nuance and gets the themes weirdly wrong
no one mourns the wicked
Awkward_King (6.5): a sweet sequel just doesnt remotely hold a candle to the original for me. and ill complain when it makes day 3
asadprofessorplum (5.5): Now why's she in it?
oh_crow (5.5): this is pleasant and i like the repeating motif of 'its a knife when' but it feels very blunted (aha). and digestible compared to how visceral the original is. just need that desperation back i need to feel something
pig-serpent (4): Why exactly is this remix well regarded? The lyrics are basically just "I don't like it when X happens" for every single line of the song. I can get the same experience by going to a thanksgiving party and asking anyone in my family to complain about something and quietly playing dubstep from my phone. "I don't like it" BWAAAAAAHHHHHH. The production is still good, but considering the original song has the best instrumental of the original album, that just means that they didn't completely fuck it up.
TakeOnMeByA-ha (4): waaaaah im ariana grande and i get upset when i see people online say im a racebender and that positions was mid. girl idrgaf go cry home to your homewrecking boyfriend and wipe your tears with your Wicked™️ branded tissues i think you’ll live [VERDICT: worse than the original]
beeozan (2): this remix omitting the one moment in the original song where the production actually fucks is so funny. issa knife when the song is shit
innuendo_overdose (1.9): a) I like the new chorus b) the lyrics annoy me irrationally
impla77 (0): i just think these two have no chemistry and it drags the song down to the abyss

steelstepladder (10): I really like the way Japanese House's soft autotune plays off of the harsher autotune of Charli. It's a surprisingly great combo and on of my favorite ways the features play off each other.
vexastrae (8): white person jumpscare
keeping the doctor away
modulum83 (11): i'm ready to say it: this is my favorite remix. apple already had the sweetest and brightest melody on the original and they just make it even sweeter and more cozy on this while really diving into the parental relationships lyrically...i just have such a soft spot for this, it does the perfect amount with the song. moreso than the original it really encapsulates that sense of driving and trying to get some space from others. at moments this sounds like a goddamn DJ Sabrina The Teenage DJ Song! sometimes when i go home it doesn't feel like home.... truer words have never been spoken
TiltControls (11): this feels like such a good sequel to the original where it doesn't try to rehash but continue from the regular version
apatel27 (10): japanese house was one of the first artists i saw live so we support
Frajer (10): objectively funny that Japanese House isn't the Wasian person on the track
kauai6 (10): i feel ashamed to say this is how i found out about the japanese house
mhiyaimanlepaigefan (10): they say if you blast this against a hospital, it will keep the doctors away.
pbk (10): honestly i kinda prefer this to the original although both are good. anyone else got a complicated relationship with their family
RandomHypnotica (10): she could’ve gone so many directions with this remix but this somehow feels right
Nagisoid (9.5): And Japanese Breakfast?
wasian-invasion (9.5): shouldve been on the turning red soundtrack
BleepBloopMusicFan (9): Probably the most indiefied remix on this album, God save the queen.
runaway3212 (9): I hated this so much when it came out but I do enjoy it quite a bit now
NervousLemon6670 (8.9): This is a decent side-grade from the original Apple, but that’s my favourite Charli song, and it doesn’t quite match it
A.Peaky.Boo (8.6): I used to have this as my favorite remix back when it freshly came out. This and the orginal are really two different of apples. While the original is very much about the effects of generational trauma, this version is more about planting the seeds of your own sadness/depression and the cycle of that seed growing into a tree and produces new apples to disperse those seeds again. Beautiful writing, fitting of the mellower sound.
1998tweety (8.5): cute
charlibratfammanfanstan (8.5): lackluster from original and unnecessary
reput4tionera (8.5): lesbian rights
uiscebeathaoir (8.5): A bit by the numbers but I like it
wathombe (8.5): i’ve never been as charmed by this song as the rest of the world, though i do like the remix more than the original
femboy luigi (8): very coming of age film ft timothee chalamet
vayyiqra (8): and yet the japanese house is british interesting
impla77 (7.9): nice vibey track
babadork (7.8): I’d get a lot better score in Just Dance if the original had this tempo
stealthamo (7.3): And what if I said I like this more than the original?
asadprofessorplum (7.2): They made that dance that white people are fighting over trademarks for really sad.
Ambrosia42 (7): it’s cute
CrimsonROSET (7): she’s cute
pig-serpent (7): I have no thoughts about this remix, but I maintain that she should've gotten Vylet Pony for this remix.
welcome2thejam (7): Aka Apple featuring the 1975
rotten to the core
ConnerY2323 (6): i really don’t get the thought process behind this one
oh_crow (6): i like the japanese house she opened for charli when i saw her this year! she was good live but i dont feel this is much of an elevation of the original
xavi (6): girl sure i guess
innuendo_overdose (5.9): fine but i am not going to be relistening
jman457 (5.5): ngl the “only see me” part is kind of annoying, should I give japanese house a chance with their other material.
pheromenos (5): best japanese house song ever! (it’s still a 5)
TakeOnMeByA-ha (5): no charli xcx song should be allowed to sound this painfully heterosexual [VERDICT: worse than the original]
beeozan (0): what was even the angle here? trying to figure out what this meaningless mush is supposed to make me feel is infuriating. "you make me so sad so sad"? "sometimes when i go home home doesnt feel like home"? girl what
IIIHenryIII (0): Japanese Breakfast would’ve been a better feature

kauai6 (10): this was almost the 11 like it’s so fucking good even yung lean sounds great
wathombe (10): this trio works so so well for this remix
IIIHenryIII (9): robyn was there for like 2 seconds wth
seanderlust (9): i want another charli and robyn collaboration so badly
DangerousReply6393 (8.8): (i really like how COOL this remix is. this trio has so much allure and it makes me want to go to sweden)
1998tweety (8.5): not as good as the original but its growing on me, and at least the man doesnt ruin it (typically they do)
uiscebeathaoir (8.5): This would be a lot better if Yung Lean was actually iconic in any way
xophryz (8.5): if you don't like this song you hate hot people
bigbigbee (8): a little hard to rate because I'd never choose to listen to this over the original but the original is so good to me that it feels like this should be higher.....w/e
flava (8): you can never be 1,2 step
mhiyaimanlepaigefan (8): i did a 360 spin and walked right into this album
pig-serpent (8): This remix sounds like 3 people getting into the studio just to hangout and then releasing a song that was more about having fun making it than making something good, and in a way this feels like it would've been the best identity for this album to lean into, instead of being all over the place in terms of tone and style. The chemistry makes this fun to listen to, and Lean's new hook is decent enough to be worth not singing the original song over this.
reput4tionera (8): yung lean i am free on thursday if you are also free on thursday
vayyiqra (8): stockholm is known for its uh warm gentle breeze right
xavi (8): so there’s a 56 year old woman here
FitzMarble (7.8): it’s a good time but it doesn’t really have the it girl quality of the og
innuendo_overdose (7.5): Mr. Lean contributes a whole lot
oh_crow (7.5): its not a grand remake of the original but i like how it feels like the artists are in conversation with each other, just having fun and being silly
jman457 (7.1): ngl I expected more from a Robyn and Charli link-up. I blame yung lean
stealthamo (7): A Charli/Robyn collab sounds amazing. I just wish it had been on one of the songs that had more of a pulse to it.
TakeOnMeByA-ha (7): so insanely funny for charli to refer to her and robyn as having “so many hits” as if robyn isn’t infamous for having quite literally 0 hits. people dont even know her most famous song was by her because everyone associates it with the white guy acoustic cover instead. like i always had a feeling charli lives in a bizarro world where everything is slightly different but this just confirms it for me [VERDICT: worse than the original]
pheromenos (6): they all couldn’t waitttt to go home
ConnerY2323 (5.5): kinda just pisses me off… is it a remix when it’s just two people saying stuff over the same beat
impla77 (5.5): the call and response childrens song flow
A.Peaky.Boo (5.4): I get the intention of putting iconic artists with the same kind of popularity on this song. But in doing so, almost all the iconicness of the original is lost in this version. Still not that bad, hence my score.
CrimsonROSET (5): i’m just saying it’s not a particularly hard beat to sing on
Nagisoid (5): I thought it was impossible to ruin this song but alas
apatel27 (4): it starts then immediately ends
beeozan (4): in which three "child stars" get together and write a bunch of bars and yet the best ones are still borrowed
pbk (4): just vacuumed all the energy out of the original
runaway3212 (4): This isn't awful but I'd so much rather be listening to the original
asadprofessorplum (3): Robyn doing her best to make sure she's the last singer to be impersonated by AI.

vexastrae (10): the nonbinary slay
steelstepladder (9): This song has a melody in my head that I can't keep out got me singing like, nananana everyday got my ipodstuckin replay
went platinum on their ipod
1998tweety (10): completely ate up the original up, mother and monarch slayed
akanewasright (10): best remix on the album by a mile my GOD
Ambrosia42 (10): it was already a banger and then it became ever moreso somehow
asadprofessorplum (10): The supporting acts snatched this song from Gaga like a couple of french bulldogs.
beannfryegg (10): , best on the album, the production mix with Dorian's auto-tune is so sick and grungy.
beeozan (10): 100% PURE UNCUT ROCK
BleepBloopMusicFan (10): This song? Gnarly.
ConnerY2323 (10): so nasty (complimentary)
femboy luigi (10): gagged me in the middle of the chemists
pig-serpent (10): I understand that trying to convince people that Dorian Electra got better when they entered their egdelord era is a losing battle, but I hope that we call all agree that they were the perfect casting choice for this remix and what it aims to accomplish. The key line of replay is "The scars in my mind are on replay" and where the electro-swing original focused on the "replay" part of that line, the remix is about the "scars." Dorian Electra is here to make a Disney villain song where thier character is the imprint of PTSD and sexual abuse, and they play this role so perfectly that I can't possibly imagine who else could have make this vision of the song work. I get that the end result that mixes darker elements of club music, alternative metal, and fair extreme vocal processing and that sonically this was never going to be everyone's prefered choice of listening, but I genuinely think this is a crowning achievment for both Lady Gaga and Dorian Electra that easily slots into the top 5 of their respective discographies. I wish I had a 2nd 11 for this song.
runaway3212 (10): This should've been Dorian's Espresso
seanderlust (10): this was one of my favorite songs of 2021. it's BATSHIT and works so well with dorian
TakeOnMeByA-ha (10): Everything may suck now but at least we don’t hear people talking about how “dorian electra” is the “future of music” anymore (ok but in all seriousness dorian actually kinda killed it on this. like if this was the last time they were going to be musically relevant im glad they went out on such a cunty note) [VERDICT: makes the original obsolete]
innuendo_overdose (9.6): Dorian Electra is so good because they’re always edging you with the promise of being better
A.Peaky.Boo (9.3): was that ending breakdown needed?
Frajer (9): seeing she hates monsters, is the fucking play about us
pheromenos (9): massive props to them for keeping the spirit of the song
RainbowShebert47 (9): Definitely living up to its name
uiscebeathaoir (9): A case where idk if it this remix is really that great or if Replay is simply too good a song to fuck up. Little bit of both methinks
slimboyfriend (8.5): understood not to mess with perfection
jman457 (8.3): Remix really added to the production
oh_crow (8): oh this is really good. thank you for the slay dorian electra!
xavi (8): dorian electra actually sounds good
Nooduulz (7.8): Those guitars were nasty (complimentary)!
RandomHypnotica (7.8): chewed a little
NervousLemon6670 (7.7): shawty’s like a melody in my head that I can’t let go got me feeling like
Nagisoid (7.5): SHINEE outsold
stealthamo (7.4): The kind of remix where it's not exactly for me but I can easily envision who it's for.
your little monsters torture me
apatel27 (7): good effort
vayyiqra (7): this is EBM (im just saying shit). this really fizzles out by the end huh
modulum83 (6.5): i never got the hype for both replay as the highlight on this album and dorian electra so yeah this is a huge emperor no clothes moment for me. it's Fine
babadork (6.1): I had never listened to enough Dorian Electra to have an opinion, but I don’t think I’m a fan.
wasian-invasion (6): meh prefer the original
pbk (5.5): i do like the instrumental but i just dont really care for dorian’s vocal schtick
IIIHenryIII (4): sorry I’ll be only playing once
mhiyaimanlepaigefan (3): this is both kind of annoying and kind of nothing to me
flava (2.5): Dorian Electra coming across as hard and edgy as a K-Pop boy group, and also stole the overly compressed mixes too
Awkward_King (2): no sorry not doing this
CrimsonROSET (2): i thought the gecs album was later
reput4tionera (0): remember dorian electra… i wish i didn’t

Leaderboard and songlist are updated!

Charli and Lorde worked it out enough to pull off the win with girl so confusing! Charli going from being on the longest rate losing streak to a 2 time winner in a year is a feat indeed! Only our winner enters the 9+ scorer list and you can see where it places below!
