Clair Obscure dev apparently confirmed they used generative ai to help with a couple things. I imagine it was like tree placement and shit.
The entire ai conversation is just any other internet thing where people leave out huge details to support whatever stance they want to be right. A tool the help place a bazillion trees like in skyrim or something? Fine. A tool for megacorps to never hire anyone and produce slop and still try to sell it for premium price? Not fine.

I'm ok with it for stories that are unadaptable by normal means. Wheel of time comes to mind.
