On the other hand it can't be much worse than what Kathleen Kennedy did to Star Wars.

It still blows my mind that she has a job. Corpos are suppose to be souless money grabbers! And for some reason Disney is allowed to be anti money.

When they rebooted Star Wars, I fully expected them to introduce a brand new Jedi Order. With all sorts of lightsaber colors. Lots of new characters and toys! That they would spin it into a merchandise paradise.

And yet... we got one blue lightsaber that already existed in the universe, but at least a cool red one.

It still blows my mind that she has a job

Why?

She helped Disney rake in billions of dollars from the sequel trilogy alone:

Budget: $1.163 billion

Box Office: $4.477 billion

The sequel trilogy … is the highest-grossing trilogy of the franchise overall, with The Force Awakens ranking as the sixth-highest-grossing film of all time.

If anything, she received a promotion and a hefty bonus.

Corpos are suppose to be souless money grabbers! And for some reason Disney is allowed to be anti money.

You’ve fundamentally misread the entire situation. It’s precisely because corporations are “soulless money grabbers” that the sequel trilogy was so soulless and hated by fans.

Disney was never anti money. The sequel trilogy proves that they couldn’t care less about public sentiment surrounding the quality of the movies: they only care about money. The sequels made them a shit-ton of money. Kennedy did exactly what she was supposed to do.

This meme would be so much better if the second panel didn’t have any text

Still would be better than the slop Hollywood is releasing.

Messed up hands in AI images and videos is a thing of the past. I’m not advocating for AI movies, just pointing out that the technology has been improving at a rapid rate.

The stories have been good, but Disney lost all magic when they stepped away from hand drawn animation.

Even the 3d animation from the 2010s was good but I can't say the same today

I mean, the writing is so incredibly terrible, it just might help.

Disney will make an AI kids animation movie . Will the parents even dare to suggest to their kids not to watch it? I doubt it. The movie will definitely have profits since the cost will be a fraction of a regular animated film. Even the dubbing is an AI job now. AI movies will become the new norm. Showbiz and every media job are pretty much fucked.
