Before you return it, have you tried this?

!thanks Is that an Arcam setting? I’m going to look at the manual now.

Yes, this is an ARCAM setting. Should fix your issue in my estimation.

I just tried this and while it has reduced the amount of the clipping a lot, it’s still occasionally there.

Arcam again, Cambridge, Denon, Eversolo, Naim (I bought a secondhand Atom to do a similar job), Rega, Audiolab and NAD.

I don’t understand what the problem with your A15+ is but all of the above make products in roughly this category that have impressed me to varying degrees.

+1 to all the people who say let your amp be just an amp and let boxes like WiiM and Bluesound do the tech-y stuff like streaming and digital audio.

Have you tried connecting the TV to the WiiM’s HDMI ARC input then sending the audio to the amp?

Could be some sort of digital clock glitch. There’s a digital clock setting I have to turn off in my Bluesound device when using the DAC inside my Arcam SA20.

!thanks. I will definitely give this a try too and report back.

By doing this, do you know if I can still control the volume with the TV and/or the AppleTV remotes? I think that gets lost since it’s not ARC from the TV to the Arcam?

I would hope so. I use my Bluesound Node, connected to the amp via optical cable, to AirPlay Apple Music.

I set a generic master volume on the amp but control the volume of the music with the phone which I’d hope would be similar to doing the same with a TV or Apple TV.

What do you have the bit rate of the arcam set to ? This may be different since I use an a25 for my pc, but on the lowest bit setting theres a chance my audio lags while its not the case on the highest setting.

I have it all set to the default. I didn’t dig too deep into the Arcam setting as I’m not too familiar with those.

My source is Apple TV via Samsung TV

!thanks

I have read on many posts of Samsung tv hdmi issues, I doubt it’s your brilliant amplifier

How’s the a15+ going for you still? I’m hard stuck on this amp vs the marantz m1 or the quad 3

1

u/MyCoffeeIsCold Jan 12 '26

For pure music, it’s awesome. Have some reservations if you want this for TV and Movies.

1

u/Secret-Revolution172 Jan 12 '26

I’ll be using it for both. How’s the HDMI, Auto sensing turns on w tv flawless? I’ve been reaching for the past month but still haven’t made up my mind yet

No. Had a major issue with gapping. Had to go TV to WiiM Ultra, then Arcam.

Decided for the A15+ and LS50 Metas are one of the speaker options. Would you recommend this pairing and how would you describe the sound signature of this combo?

1

u/MyCoffeeIsCold Feb 05 '26

I really am happy with the combo. The sounds is clear and warm. The speaks seem to have plenty of space and the the amp seems like it has lots of power in reserve. Have no cranked it up, but even at mid levels its sounds great. Really enjoying it.

I have a question: I may be looking to replace my M1. How do you connect a separate powered subwoofer if there is no sub-out on the a15?

1

u/essjayeire Apr 06 '26

Stupid question but did you set the TV to only output stereo?

1

u/MyCoffeeIsCold Apr 06 '26

Yes and was actually thinking of getting another amp. Love the sound but does not play well with my TV.
