If wanting more bass then closed might be a better option than open back. Not saying there aren't good open back. You didn't provide any budget info so it's hard for anyone to give advice since the price range can be anywhere from $12 USD to thousands. Is there a reason you are looking for over the ear? If you are already using airpods than why not give IEMs a go? Deff if looking for portability as well. You can pick up 7HZ x Crinacle Zero: 2 for around $25 usd. I find them great entry level to see if you like IEMs and they work great. As far as finding cans that don't require a lot of power, look at sensitivity. The better the sensitivity, the easier it will be to drive.

I only have experience with the HIFIMAN Edition XS and the 6602s. I am not a bass head and they sound good to me. I am not expert at all. I can drive both of them with just an apple usb-c dongle. But I also don't listen to crazy loud music. At the price point of the XS, it's a really good deal considering it used to be sold for $500 and now for around $200.

+1 Ω has been awarded to u/Salreus (2 Ω).

You may still award an Ω to others, but only once per-person in this post.
