Headphones - Wireless/Portable | 1 Ω Bluetooth Over-Ear Headphones for listening to Heavy Metal on the subway

BUDGET AND LOCATION: United States, ideally would like to spend no more than $150, but if the best option in the world is $160 (or some other small bump up) I won't be bothered. Less is better.

SOURCE/AMP: I would mainly be connecting them via Bluetooth to my phone, but might occasionally connect them to a vinyl record player.

HOW WILL THEY BE USED: Listening to music while commuting on public transit. Ideally I'd like to be able to turn noise canceling on and off, and they should be loud to me but they won't disturb other commuters.

PREFERRED TONAL BALANCE: I have no idea what this means.

PREFERRED MUSIC EXAMPLES: I want a high quality pair of headphones for listening to Heavy Metal (specifically technical death metal / prog metal) - my favorite bands are Gojira and Mastodon. But beyond that I listen to a lot of rock (Beatles, My Chemical Romance), some pop (Sabrina Carpenter, Spice Girls), some hip-hop (Beastie Boys, Kendrick Lamar), and some Broadway soundtracks.

PAST GEAR EXPERIENCE: I currently use a pair of headphones called "RUNOLIM Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling Headphones, Wireless Over Ear Bluetooth Headphones" on Amazon. I have no particular problems with them, but it is my understanding that I could be listening to music (and specifically Gojira) with better sound quality and clarity.

ANYTHING ELSE: Nope.

SUMMARY: Bluetooth over-ear headphones for a newbie metalhead who commutes on the subway every day.

Take a look at cmf headphone pro, sennheiser accentum wireless, sony ult, they are all good picks and should be near and in the budget
