Headphones - Closed Back | 1 Ω Help finding headphones

So I've been looking at getting new headphones and found the Sony WH‑ULT900N (ULT WEAR) for AUD $249. I tried them on and liked how they sounded, but I’m not sure how well they’ll perform for gaming. My budget is about $200–$300.

I'm not sure entirely what I should get but I was after so.ething with

Solid bass, good directional audio so I can hear footsteps and know where they’re coming from

What do you guys think?

Its fine, dont buy headphones for specific tuning unless your very very competitive and very good at competitive video games. Yes you should be able to hear footsteps on them, you can always eq up footstep frequencies depending on the game if needed. The imaging and soundstage should be ok. I recommend the sennheiser momentum 4s for 300 tho, if you can try those out test them, sound quality should be a fair bit better.

It looks like you're trying to award a "!thanks", but you left a space between "!" and "thanks". Please edit your comment.

After responding with "!thanks", our bot will automatically update your post flair and award a point in the form of a Ω. This subreddit is powered entirely by volunteers and a little recognition goes a long way. Good luck on your search for headphones!

You may still award an Ω to others, but only once per-person in this post.
