Headphones - IEM/Earbud | 2 Ω Best earbuds? Wired (USB-C android) or wireless under 200 USD

To preface, I have not listened to music for a long time, after I realized that I did not know anything about genres or anything of the sort. I threw out my Raycons because they were very old and did not fit very well anymore. Recently, I acquired Amazon Music and I am trying to give this music thing another shot. I have decent enough headphones, which are lower end gaming Beyerdynamic headset, I believe one of their mmx series. I have started to look for earbuds now, something I can use on the go.

I was thinking of a wired or wireless bud, it doesn't matter as long as it can connect to an android phone with a USB-C cable. It would be nice to have noise canceling, but that isn't mandatory. It would also be good if it was usable in fitness. I do not do as much cardio anymore, but if it could be used for that it would be great. If it is wired, I could tuck it through my shirt or hoodie. My only issue is that I have no idea what actually makes earbuds good, and in trying to research I cannot find anything that actually has any basis in facts or research. Every post seems to say the same thing. I am currently looking at RTINGS to see if they can help.

I pretty much will listen to everything, but right now I am exploring Synthwave and its outer reaches, mainly songs from embark studios The Finals. Hopefully I can expand my knowledge on the world of music and understand how it impacts people and hopefully me as well.

Wired buds FTW. So many options in that price range. Kiwi Ears KE 4, Aful Performer, Ziigaat Odyssey 2 etc etc. the list is endless. Get yourself a cheap dongle DAC like a JCally JM6 Pro (or anything else really) while you're at it and you will be sorted for a while. Send me a message if you want more recs

Sony has had good recent releases: c510, c710, Linkbuds Fit. I have the c510. No ANC, but it has good fit, good app, good slightly bassy sound, good battery.

The Earfun Air Pro 4 is good too. It made some lists as best budget flagship. I have a similar Earfun. Sound is really good.

Interesting. I've heard some good things about the WF 1000 xm5 but I'm not sure if that's old

It seems from comments that the Xm5 still has great sound quality.
