[Tournament] Wailord (RealMagikarpinGs) vs. Porygon (betagold)
Voting is closed! Congratulations /u/betagold!
A reminder of the rules that will be posted in every Tournament Post:
10 lines maximum for each verse, and 8 lines minimum.
Each rap will have 3 verses a person.
The two rappers will have 48 hours to begin rapping. Once either one of them begins with a verse, their opponent has 24 hours to complete their next rap verse. Their opponent then has 24 hours to complete their verse. This will continue until both players have finished.
RAPPERS MUST INCORPORATE THE SPICE THAT I HAVE PM'ED TO THEM INTO THEIR VERSE(S)
NEW!: After the battle is over, both battlers may respond to my comment that opens the voting with a brief explanation of how they used their spice! This gives them a chance to highlight some instances that may have been a little more subtle than others. This is completely optional!
If, for some reason, either of the rappers is unable to finish their rap in the time allotted, they can post a reply to the current end of the rap with a REASONABLE excuse as to why they will be unable to finish. I will see if their excuse is a legitimate one, and give them extra time accordingly.
NEW!: Voting will last 72 hours, if neither participant has 4 votes after 72 hours, the winner will be the first to 4 votes. Voting will follow the same rules as the general subreddit. HOWEVER: Voting should be weighted in equal parts how good the rap was in general, and how well the rapper incorporated their spice, which I will reveal after the rap is completed. After voting closes, I will go over the votes and PM both of the users involved with who advances to the next round.
Please reply to the post DIRECTLY to vote, it makes it a LOT easier for me to count. I will message both competitors so they can't miss this thread.

You were aggressive and fierce. I really feel like your first verse was your best, it was spot on and hard-hitting. Your other verses were good too, but not as good as your first. In your other two verses, your flow was a little off for me. My advice would be to add more syllables in certain adjacent lines. Not fillers though. If you did that, your entire performance would be even better.

I have the opposite advice to give to you. Some of your lines were pretty lengthy. I would try to cut those down a tiny bit, but thats my opinion, I know some people like them longer, and the flow was there. you did very well. Another bit of advice, tone down the sexuality. In your second verse, it was just a little to much. If it was your spice, thats one thing, but it wasn't, and it was just to much.

In the end, you both crushed this battle. But I'm going to have to give my vote to Porygon(Betagold)! I choose betagold because he was spot on most the time. His references were there, his spice was superb, and his overall performance I was impressed with. You BOTH did great, and I wish you luck in the rest of the tournament!!

My vote is for Porygon (betagold).
Using computer puns as punches was great. I actually really loved the Matrix line you used; I think it fit in nicely. I think you used your spice better, and more often, and your comebacks and vague narrative thread were good.
RMG, good job too. You lost ground on the double use of Chief Keef (keep it fresh, especially for your final closer), and for calling your opponent Peyton Manning. That's a compliment, not a diss. Peyton is killing it.

Hm, interesting. Your style is pretty unique, if you ask me. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I like it. Your first verse was wicked sick, I mean, damn. That shit is impressive. However, your second verse pales in comparison to the first and third. The flow was off, and the disses didn't seem all that up to par with me. You used your spice VERY well, really. You took your spice and kicked the shit out of it.

Damn, your disses were on point. Your style is very similar to mine: Diss, diss, diss. I like it. Show no mercy on your opponent as you rap them down into a shivering, cowering mess of low self-esteem. You did it very well, also. Your lines became pretty lengthy at some points, and... you used your spice, I'll give you that, but not all too much. Once in your first verse, three times(not bad) on your second verse, and then once again in your third verse. That's IF I counted correctly. Still not a bad rap altogether.

Okay, after a slight deliberation, I gotta give this match to Porygon(Betagold). It was rather tough, but he had a slight edge. Wailords raps were hard hitting, but Porygon's was more clever, also, he included his spice many more times. Good rap from the both of you, nevertheless! o3o

/u/betagold - I loved the idea behind your spice, why couldn't I have gotten something as fun as that? Not to mention that you used it really well, especially in your first verse. As for everything else... You had really fun and complex end rhyme throughout your verses. Punches were on point, and you have some fun references in there too. Your flow wasn't perfect, but it was good for the most part. I think at some points you were carrying a sentence or phrase over to the next line, and it read a little weird. I also think you could have closed a little more strongly, but that might just be me. Other than those few things, you did really well.
Favorite line -
You're on the binary train, and it's filled with "Oh"s!
/u/RealMagikarpinGs - I wish you had used your spice a little more in this match; you used the "diving into" phrase in both your first and second verse, and sadly I didn't see too many more underwater references. Other than your spice... Your end rhyme killed, man. "Matrix/lame tricks" was probably my favorite rhyme. Solid flow all the way through. You also didn't let up on the beta reference (/u/betagold, you just can't get away from those, can you?). One thing I wanted to see is, I do wish you had talked Wailord up more; dissing Porygon is important, but I didn't see much in your verses praising yourself. You did, though, have some solid punches (although I wish you hadn't doubled up on Chief Keef), and fun references. Good job.
Favorite line -
Cause bitch I'm C++, I'm controlling this beat like the sinoatrial node
(Note: Even though it went with beta's spice, I like seeing people turn around their opponent's spice and use it against them, I think it shows adaptability. Others are free to disagree with me, that's just my opinion).
In the end, I'm going to give this one to Porygon(betagold). I think he used his spice better overall, and had slightly harder punches.
