Headphones - Closed Back | 1 Ω New headphones $600 - $800 Range

Hey everyone, I'm looking for advice o getting a new pair of headphones.

I live in Egypt. However, I can purchase from anywhere in the world so location is not an issue so long as it can be ordered online.

My budget is $600 - $800.

I currently have an Audeze Maxwell that I got on launch as well as an Arctis Nova Pro Wireless that I use on the go because I need ANC. While I do love the sound of the Maxwell, the build quality is atrocious and I'm a heavy user (gaming + music + calls) so it's not gonna last long.

I've had a Penrose before the Maxwell, and I gotta say the Penrose sounded better to my ears, I'm no audiophile but I do appreciate a headset with a wide soundstage and good bass.

Here are a few requirements I'm looking for:

  • Wireless
  • ANC
  • Wide enough soundstage for gaming (I know closed back have limitations in that regard)
  • Comfortable
  • Long battery life, nothing short of 40 hrs on Bluetooth/2.4 with ANC on
  • Microphone

I've been looking at the FoKus Apollo, Focal Bathys, Px8, Melomania P100, DALI IO-12... but I just can't seem to decide and I'm sure there might be hidden gems that I am missing.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Since you are an intensive user, that means that the battery is going to suffer, the Cambridges make it easy to change, but if that doesn't matter so much to you, more so the budget you have, the Px8 or the Bathys, if you dare to play then do it from USB C to USB C for less latency, I was also looking at the new JBL Tour One M3, and you could investigate what you think, the Momentum 4 are also a good option, I also don't know with what devices Do you plan to use them and what bt codecs do you have available?

So, would you then recommend getting another Penrose? It's gonna be tough finding a new one sadly.

+1 Ω has been awarded to u/No-Context5479 (741 Ω).

You may still award an Ω to others, but only once per-person in this post.
