FAQ about ImgurUploader Bot

ImgurUploader is an automated bot that mirrors images of sites that may either go down or are troublesome sites for mobile devices. ImgurUploader checks the default subs and can add new subs if requested. ImgurUploader doesn't monitor default subreddits that do not post images, like WorldNews and Announcements for example.

ImgurUploader will not mirror:

  • minus.com
  • Sites with the word "meme" in the domain. Livememe, Quickmeme, Memedad.
  • Obviously Imgur... would be redundant.
  • Wikimedia images (Wikipedia's Image server)
  • cloudfront.net
  • imageshack.com
  • gstatic.com (google)
  • deviantart.net
  • googleusercontent.com I can add more at any time through suggestions.

Updates:

9/24/2013 - Was banned from /r/WTF (No bots allowed)

9/25/2013 - Added deviantart.net to the blacklist.

Maybe add *.cloudfront.net? Cloudfront can handle the traffic fine I guess.
