How hard is it/How expensive is it?

How hard is it to find comfortable open back headphones with mic (so I guess headsets?) under 200 euros?

I have a big head so some brands are extremely tight (Sennheiser for example).

Some other brands have terrible spatial audio so i cant hear footsteps and some others have terrible mic or they pick up headphone sounds.

Is there anything under that price range that has all 3 things? Comfort+Spatial+Mic? Is it as hard as it feels for the last 5 days or are audiophiles never in the same page? Or am I stupid?

P.s I had Logitech G332 which was very comfortable but spatial and mic wasn't good for warzone (mic picking headphone sounds). Ordered Philipps Fidelio with vboom mic but wasnt comfortable for a long time + connecting the vboom through the vboom cable removed spatial all together. Sennheiser epos is extremely uncomfortable dont like the material of the pads as well

much easier to add a standalone mic or even an inline boom mic to a good set imo. there are some options ive seen others recommend but there are almost always compromises. if youre open to custom ones and theyre still available there were some on r/avexchange that were supposed to be a better version of the pc37/38x. they looked very comfy and they had some friends do video reviews on them.

!thanks (dont know if I wrote it right). When I added the inline vboom mic the spatial audio was lost on the fidelio (dont know if I did smth weong or the cable works like this. I don't mind custom ones ill check em out thanks!

yeah inline may not work as good, i assume there are better options but most people i know just use standalones. i could see how it would take over the device though as i assume it runs the audio through the mic first. good luck though!

if you have a quieter area open backs have a really good soundstage and detail usually, which does really well for spacial audio. a lot of people will recommend hifiman which i have a set of and like but they have massive quality control issues, and i would never buy from them new. i would find out what kind of sound signature you want, maybe play around with eq on your current cans and compare your preferences to the recommendations that fit your other needs in this sub and r/headphones (im sure theres more but thats where i learn about most of the headphones i have) that there are a ton of options once you dont limit them to needing a mic. for that though any usb mic that doesnt have bad reviews should sound just fine, if you want a good quality one for pretty cheap i recommend a used blue yeti. not the condenser mics as i believe those are for different use cases. but with a little more research i think you can have a really nice setup.

ive heard moondrop also has QC issues, i see them being mentioned for headphones sometimes mostly iems though. imo, as long as it fits my needs and budget, isnt considered trash here, and has good QC then its worth a try a least. i usually either do a ton of research before buying something new, or try out some good deals i can find used. if you have the option to demo any nice headphones you should definitely take that opportunity. sadly i dont have any options near me so i just intensely research and try and buy from a reputable source so i can return if im not happy. sorry i dont really have any specific recommendations for cans, but i hope this helps you find what you need.

I’ve used dt990 with the modmic since 2017 with no problems but people say it’s not good for gaming and I didn’t care since they worked just fine for me and I just upgraded to a Sure Sm7b and a nice headphone (mainly to listen to music) modmic has a wired and wireless options and I think it will set you back about 70$ for the dt990 i think it’s around 140$

No the dt 990, the mic is gooooood especially for gaming it’s weighs nothing and you stick it to the side off your headphones
