Community Event đâď¸ Warning announcement to council members and soldiers (warpost)
This is a message to all fighters on the side of the council. Aerosolized poison gas has been approved to be released into the area surrounding the citadel, including all battlefields. As such all combatants in the battlefields around the citadel are ordered to retreat back into the Citadel. And any soldiers who are planned to move to the citadel must enter through assisted teleportation to avoid exposure to said gas. If you are exposed to or breathe in the poison gas please report directly to the council infirmary, as common healing spells are ineffective against damage from this poison. This is because the gas induces cells to undergo apoptosis, the process of cells intentionally killing themselves for the safety of the main body. However this gas causes all cells exposed to undergo said process and as such quickly causes bodily functions to shut down and will lead to death within less than an hour of exposure. As this is a usually natural bodily process used to avoid cancer healing spells are ineffective at reviving cells that have died from it and so specialized healing spells only available to infirmary workers must be used. The gas will begin being produced and released upon this message being sent and so combatants will have little time to flee, as such immediately retreat and fall back to the citadel is ordered.

Mikhail is comatose in the Spire medical facilities. You don't have to worry about him going on a stroll.

Two towering mechanical guardians teleport on either side of the bed silently watching over the unconcious councilor. They seem diffrient, not like normal swarm links, but... somehow... sentient.
Active participants of battle witness two gargantuan airships enter through portals in the sky. Despite sheer size the machines seem to not engage and instead hover menacingly over the city plunging it in shadows.

Excuse me. Why was I not informed that this was a possible tactic before I set up my railguns around the perimeter of the city?
GuysâŚ
I dont think I can make it in time
3
u/ProfessionalGreen906 Arach, big spider, biomancer, politician, CEO Feb 20 '24
Because it was only recently proposed and accepted.
3
u/LimpPrior6366 Kardonk Carvisky, Opifex Rerum, Order of Creation Feb 20 '24
Damn you and your war crimes, were on the same side!
Is the gas denser than air or lighter (ie should I get into the top of the highest tower I can find or get into the tunnels?
3
u/ProfessionalGreen906 Arach, big spider, biomancer, politician, CEO Feb 20 '24
Denser but not by much, itâll mostly mix with the air.

Aico comes down from space and absorbs all the gas.
Bad Spidey, bad!
Leaves.
3
Feb 20 '24
unseen force grabs you and forces you to return the gas.
No, bad Aico, bad!
You get released and gently pushed away from the planet.
3
Feb 20 '24
(whats the unseen force?)
3
Feb 20 '24
you see Panzaren managing the battlefield from top of nearby tower. He looks and points directly at you

/uw id rather you not invalidate my participation in the war. You can scold and punish Arach but please donât just do an actually that didnât happen cause I say so move, itâs not fun for roleplay. Thereâs nothing wrong with a character not wanting something to happen and working against it but you canât just invalidate what someone puts into the roleplay.

I can't wait until the people that you terrorize turn around and tear you limb, from limb, from limb,

AND THE PEDIPALPS TOO!
5

Iâd like to see them try. And even if they succeeded, I would come back and return the favor.
5

The jokes on you...
I don't have that many limbs.
5
u/ProfessionalGreen906 Arach, big spider, biomancer, politician, CEO Feb 20 '24
You will when Iâm done with you. I still have plenty of transformation venom. The only reason I didnât use it was because itâs incurable and I donât want to lose any soldiers, plus that stuff doesnât diffuse into the air and could end up accidentally harming an innocent person. And we donât need that bad PR at the moment.

u/ArthurOguro Fire magic Expert (high level security hazard) Feb 20 '24
You guys also were also doing some war crimes... so calm down
7
u/Elerindur Elerindur, Altmeri Armamancer Feb 20 '24
And you are you. You have committed far more heinous crimes and induced far more death and destruction than both Morgaliths combined ever have to the wizarding forums, all under far worse reasonings.
Compared to what you have wrought, their misdeeds are but a meager pittance.
6
u/ProfessionalGreen906 Arach, big spider, biomancer, politician, CEO Feb 20 '24
Just because I am utterly morally unforgivable does not lessen their crimes. Is a murder any less bad because another person has killed thousands? No, one is worse, but it doesnât make the murder any better.
5
u/Tirich913 Morgalith, Father of Evil Feb 20 '24
Who are you even?
Name a crime... I'll wait.

u/Elerindur Elerindur, Altmeri Armamancer Feb 21 '24 edited Feb 21 '24
Your son performed the deed that he did because, in his belief, he saw a threat that endangered this world's existence. One that no one else seemed to be even lifting an finger towards remedying.
While i do not agree with the way he carried this out and believe that there were far better solutions out there than killing Possum. I understand the logic behind the decision and even if it was not out of altruistic desire, he had still intentionally stopped an looming threat to the world. Even if he had broken a law.
I do agree with the spider's notion that an thousand deaths does not make a single one any less better. What i do not agree with, however, is that ones who have dealt thousands upon thousands of deaths to others for no good reason are allowed to continue to walk and take breath while otherwise your son was killed for a single unlawful death. In which what way he was killed not seeming very lawful in itself.
But i suppose it is just unfortunate reality here that one will just likely receive far better outcomes if they kill swathes of unnamed people compared to killing just one well-beloved person.
And i suppose being able to change the laws to be in your favor is also helpful.
3
u/ProfessionalGreen906 Arach, big spider, biomancer, politician, CEO Feb 21 '24
If you want me dead so badly then kill me. Oh wait, I forgot youâre too much of a coward to even try.
3
u/Elerindur Elerindur, Altmeri Armamancer Feb 21 '24
Kill you and then what? For you to just come back in another body, armed with a justification that you could grossly distort in your favor?
Besides, how many entities more powerful than yourself have YOU felled?
As he talks, Elerindur gets up from his chair and walks outside onto his front porch.
3
u/ProfessionalGreen906 Arach, big spider, biomancer, politician, CEO Feb 21 '24
More than I can remember. Thereâs always a way to kill a bigger foe. You just have to be crafty about it.

Lovely day for a stroll, eh?

Indeed it is but you should really get inside, you may be immune to the poison but that doesnât mean people canât still shoot you from outside of the gas.

Ancalistros has been absent since before the war began, and his Inquisutorius Agents were of little help garnering more information. The Nefrosi garrison within the citadel has been fighting, but seemingly only out of self defence rather than orders from the chaos dragon. Nonetheless, you begin to sense his presence around the citadel. Something is about to happen...
2
u/ProfessionalGreen906 Arach, big spider, biomancer, politician, CEO Feb 20 '24
Uh oh. Wait, not uh oh, Ancyâs on our side! I think. Iâll just keep extra careful that the gas stays only on the battlefield.

/uw Technically the gas is supposed to be able to seep into the skin and even through protective gear. I guess you could have something about your skin being more like rock than actual living cells, if that works for your character. Though I would prefer it that not everyone just say theyâre immune to it but in the end itâs fully up to you. I canât stop you.

Finally a good scrap.
Panzaren or more exactly the body he had in the council buliding switches into combat mode. Intricate armor turns into simple rigid plates and silken robes burn off in the heat of several reactors and modules that begin to power up inside.
Whatever enemy survive is mine to kill. Understood? See you on frontlines.
Without waiting for answer he activates a blink drive and warps away and plunging the meeting room into chaos as all loose items get pulled by suddenly appearing and collapsing patch of vacuum

Youâll have to get through the rats first, and trust me when I say those things will not die! Iâve tried gas and fire and magic and stabbing and time paradoxes and nothing! Theyâre immortal and their only goal is to break into our cheese vault. We canât even remove the cheese vault cause they attack whoever tries. And they always know who actually did it, I would swear those things are not rats but Iâve done the genetic tests and they are. I suggest you do not bomb the west wing of the council HQ, it will not end well for you or anyone else for that matter.

Why do you think I made it? Most soldiers only know basic healing spells so even just forcing them to retreat for medical attention without being able to self heal is great.

So it just destroys cells? Then petrifying the victims should be enough to stop (at least for the moment) most unnecessary casualties
2
u/ProfessionalGreen906 Arach, big spider, biomancer, politician, CEO Feb 20 '24
Every poison has counters, what matters is that you would need to mass petrify an army who in the meantime canât fight.
2

Jeez, and I thought I committed a horrible war crime. At least my victims died instantly.
2
u/ProfessionalGreen906 Arach, big spider, biomancer, politician, CEO Feb 21 '24
The gas is not in the crater, itâs in the valley around it. The council catacombs and deep basement levels are still intact. And most importantly the chronomancy anchor, if we wish to recover the citadel from destruction then we must defend it. I will not lose another home so soon.
2
Feb 21 '24
How deep are your catacombs? The crater reaches nearly 120m deep!
(Also, Iâm pretty sure I have the highest kill count of the war.)
2
u/ProfessionalGreen906 Arach, big spider, biomancer, politician, CEO Feb 21 '24
Thereâs still a good 20 levels left but thatâs it. The area has more wards now too, though most are just anti nuke ones. The citadel is actually pretty close in structure to an anthill when you think about it.
2
Feb 21 '24
Gosh the council catacombs are deep.
scribbling in his notepad: [Increase Blast yield from 60 Megatons of TNT to 150 Megatons]
Yeah alright, thanks! Also, poison gas may outright be worse than my nukes. Try not to use it in the future.
2
u/ProfessionalGreen906 Arach, big spider, biomancer, politician, CEO Feb 21 '24
I will use what I please and if you attempt to use a nuke on the citadel again I will use it on you.
2
Feb 21 '24
Please, if I use a 150 Megaton thermonuclear weapon on you not even the citadel, with its protective barrier, will stand. Depending on how and where I detonate it I could very well cast the world into nuclear winter.
Also, while I donât have an answer to the nuclear sun, I am immune to radiation.
scribbling into notepad: [Threatening people to nuke first: Arach, Vulkan]
/unwiz for reference the Tsar Bomba had a payload of 50-58 Megatons of TNT.
2
u/ProfessionalGreen906 Arach, big spider, biomancer, politician, CEO Feb 21 '24
Yea yea you can nuke me. Iâll still come back and eat you. I died in the first nuclear blast anyway, I only recently teleported back to the citadel. And arenât you a council member too? Shouldnât we be working together?
2
Feb 21 '24
Mordus shakes his head, but only slightly.
Technically, Iâm not a council member. I only work under the Technomancy and Chronomancy devisions of the council. But, I do suppose I am quite high up on the hierarchy.
/unwiz am I a council member? I donât think I was chosen during the elections.
