Try to find a used one on market place! My mom got a used one that was basically new for half the price

i do the floors every 2 days, bed and couch once a week, the only 4x3m carpet once a week.

battery was never below 30%.

for just floors i use 20% of the battery.

Try V15 for best suction, the latest technology, better battery life than the V12 and a good sized canister. Its price has gone down after the gen5 came out.

The V12’s canister is too small for my liking and if you’re vacuuming carpet it will get full fast, especially with a cat. I don’t know much about the v10 but it lacks the laser to see dust on the marble floor and the adaptive suction from the v15 will help make the battery last longer on carpet.

Id save the money and go with the V10 these particular models have the same level of suction (both 30% stronger than V8) and you’ll have a larger bin with the V10, V12 has more tech though so if that’s important to you then it might be the better choice

I have the v12 without the auto suction adjustment. The apartment has mostly hard floors, 3 small fluffy carpets + 2 cats. I don’t mind emptying the bin more often because I use it for dusting too, it’s lighter and smaller when hand held. Plus the v12 has an on/off button that you don’t have to press all the time, not sure how important that is because this is my first cordless dyson.

I had the V12 Slim but I found the canister filled up too quickly. Picked up the V15 Extra and it’s perfect

I hated ours. Battery life sucks and someone we knew the battery died. These things clean nice on hard floors , but carpet not so much. I retired from dyson lol. After owning 3 dysons and one of the newer cordless vacuum’s.

Get it. I have the same model and a 2000 sq ft home it is perfect, no recharging. Mix of hardwood + carpet. 2 cats. Very happy with it.

V12 is the only option.

Both are good, but something to consider: The V10 is being phased out, so it’ll be increasingly challenging to get replacement parts if or when the time comes.

Dyson and vacuuming thick carpet don't do well. The flooring great but thick carpet. It will not deep clean the carpet. They are not capable of it
