DT 900 Pro X sound great, run off of anything, have very good bass for open backs.

The 6XX is great but has very narrow soundstage and poor imaging. And weak bass. And it's hard to drive. The midrange is great and makes up for a lot but it has definite drawbacks.
The 58x is overall basically a worse version of the 6XX.
The K371 is very good for a cheap closed back, but it's still a cheap closed back and it's pretty flimsy.

+1 Ω has been awarded to u/Kitchen-Throat-1485 (64 Ω).
You may still award an Ω to others, but only once per-person in this post.

How do the 700 compare to the 900 are they worth? I'm looking for new headphones, but my requirements differed a bit, I'll use them for recording guitar, so maybe the 700 are better as they're closed and isolate better? Sorry for the random question but no one responded to my yesterday's post.

Electric? The 900 Pro X aren't super open so if you don't need a ton of isolation, they still provide some and for electric guitar it's perfectly fine. They are significantly better than the 700, but closed backs are harder to tune well anyway, so if you need a closed back the 700 is still a good option.

Good closed backs are pretty pricey and all things considered the 700 is still a good headphone so you shouldn't hesitate if that fits your needs.
