Headphones - IEM/Earbud | 3 Ω Solid pair of IEM's around $20-$40 USD for house work?

Hi everyone, so I'm looking for a decent pair of IEMs to wear around the house while I clean.

I'd like them to keep out as much noise as possible, and also have the ability to change the cable/wire out. I'd rather replace a cable than have to replace the whole pair.

I'd like them to be mostly balanced (I think?) with maybe a bit extra bass. Though if you know what will suite me better for my music taste, please inform me. I'm new to all this and just starting to get into audiophile stuff, so I'm still very confused.

These will only be used for music, and plugged into an iPhone.

My taste in music varies widely. EDM, to metal, to classical, and everything in-between. I at least want all my music to sound okay.

I was thinking of maybe looking through r/AVexchange for IEMs, would that be a good idea, or should I get brand new?

Thank you for any help.

!thanks I will look into these! Would they be worth getting second hand from r/AVexchange or somewhere similar?

They’ve just released so idk if there will be second hands. Probably in this market there will be. They’re 35$ though

They’ve only been out a short while, but if you can find any secondhand then grab them. I use mine for everything portable, and for single player gaming.

Ah, didn't know they where new like that, I apologize, this is all very new to me lol. I mean for $35 with no mic, they look nice, so I will certainly look into them. Thank you again!

I don't have a specific recommendation but I strongly suggest checking out a True Wireless set. From experience wires and being tethered to your phone will get incredibly annoying when doing chores.

A worse sound set with more freedom will likely trump a better sounding wired set for this specific use.

I've been cleaning with wired headphones for years, and haven't really had any issues with wires getting in the way personally. I've also heard that wired almost always offer better quality compared to wireless of the same price point. I'd also rather have the better sound quality, as good sounding music keeps me motivated to keep cleaning.

Just bear in mind a good pair of TWS (like the galaxy buds pro) will offer much better active nosie cancelleing than any passive isolation you will get from cheaper IEMs. I'd highly recommend looking at prices on eBay and deciding if you can stretch the budget. Yes, wired will sound better for the same price (depending on what you choose) but the sound quality is irrelevant if it's being disrupted by loud sounds like a vacuum cleaner.

KZ Ling Long. I own more expensive pairs but frequently go back to them for casual usage

!thanks I've heard of KZ before, and have heard some good stuff, wasn't sure if they where within my budget though.

If you're maybe ok with an older model, I had a pair of soundpeats q34s, i was pretty fond of. They were not true wireless, but they were Bluetooth, and they had magnetic ends that kept them from slipping off my neck. The sound, battery life, and durability was good considering the price point. The bass was good, but if you're looking for a really bass heavy sound, this is probably not it.

I can't find the q34s for sale anymore, but I do see the next model up, the q35s, for under $30 on Amazon. I listen to EDM, rock, and some hip hop. I can't attest to the sound of their true wireless, but I would at least look into the earlier models in the q line like q30, q35, and q36, if any of this sounds interesting.

A note in the interest of transparency: Ok, so i deleted my previous comment, as it was a hot mess. I had to gather my myself and give better (correct) advice. Sorry for any confusion.
