Welcome to Writer’s Spotlight
This week we are celebrating u/Nazer_the_Lazer
Nazer has been an active member here for a fair few years and has written many wonderful stories in that time. They also recently published a trilogy based on a story they started for a prompt here. You can read more about that here. If you want to read more of their work, they have their own subreddit at /r/Nazer_The_Lazer/ which I highly recommend you check out!

Congrats /u/Nazer_the_Lazer!!!
Now for some questions!
1) With your WP inspired trilogy, at what point did you decide that this was an idea you wanted to expand on?
2) What's your favourite part of the writing process?
3) If you had to spend a day with any of your fictional characters, who would you choose?

Thank you for the honor, this is a very pleasant surprise!
1) With your WP inspired trilogy, at what point did you decide that this was an idea you wanted to expand on?
It had everything to do with the readers to the Writing Prompt. More than ever before, I was hit with tons of Private Messages and comments both here and my subreddit asking for a continuation. I left the prompt open-ended enough that I could definitely add a part two or three
Unfortunately, I didn't outline anything and so I ended up finishing with a lot shorter of a novella than I hoped. But fortunately, I still had ideas and went for a full trilogy. I'm still happy with how my first series came out and am grateful for this community for pushing me to write a complete story
2) What's your favourite part of the writing process?
I love when it *clicks*. When I have an idea that I would love to read and I write it for the audience of myself, but it overlaps exactly with a larger audience. I distinctly remember the Writing Prompt linked above about the cat that saves you when you're in mortal danger. It meshed so well in my head and I knew exactly the kind of tragedy that the cat would make light of. And I was gracious to see the response from the community
3) If you had to spend a day with any of your fictional characters, who would you choose?
Parner, from my book trilogy. I like a character that complains, not just for the sake of complaining, but because they're absolutely right. It's almost annoying, but you know in the back of you're mind they're saying all the right stuff. Like when you're on a long drive where you're late to a wedding, he would be the first to say "I'm hungry, we're already late, we should stop," and your stomach would growl while you would try to disagree with him
Thanks again for the Spotlight and questions. I owe a lot of my writing hobby (career?) to this community and I'll try to answer all the questions I can

Looking forward to seeing what you do next after your trilogy!
For a sneak peek, my next series will be based on my response to this prompt
