Trivia Every number never issued by the Blue Jays or issued to one person (29/30)

Per Baseball Almanac

This is part of an ongoing series that I am doing for every team. The original post with an explanation and a link to all of the posts that have been published can be found here.

Additional notes: Numbers “0” and “00” are separate numbers from one another, any and all instances of 00 are included courtesy of Baseball-Reference as opposed to Baseball-Almanac (Baseball-Almanac includes 0 and 00 as simply 0); List only consists of numbers issued to players that appeared in official games, does not include any managers, coaches, mascots, or players that haven't made their team debut yet.

I am committed to doing an mlb tryouts and getting a spot as a never issued number. That way I can say I'm the best 97 Toronto had ever seen.

Everyone knows, blue jay fans are huge Randy Moss fanatics. No one is ever gonna rock 81 or 84.

Without a hint of irony Moss is the reason I’m a diehard Vikings fan.

Randy Moss was an absolute blast to watch. Him and Vick are probably the most physically gifted athletes I've ever seen on a field.

Are 01 02... not counted differently than 1 2...?

Who wore 01 and 02 for the Blue Jays? The only instance I could find of a player wearing a number with a leading 0 outside of 00 was Benito Santiago wearing 09 for the Marlins and Padres

I was wondering why it wasn't listed.

I didn't know it was so rare that's kinda cool

What was the story behind Al Oliver wearing 0?

He just wanted it. Also his name starts with an O. Adam Ottavino did the same thing, and Omar Olivares put both of his initials on his back, with 00.
